The room and the hotel in general was extremely clean and the decoration very comfortable to be at, amazing views to the mountains and lots of parking spaces. The breakfast is noteworthy for the quality and variety and the staff without exception was very friendly. A short walk will take you to the center, but it is a couple of Kms down the road - that said, it is a very pleasant walk.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. We were there for the Christmas market which was right out the back door. Parking was also super convenient, we could take the elevator from our room to our car. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was as good as what you would expect from a Bavarian quality hotel. Traditional German, meaning excellent, breakfast with lots of fruits. This is important in a hiking trip. 8-year old especially liked the indoor pool.

Breakfast is included and it's absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly friendly and treat you like family. Although we didn't utilize this service, they provide you with bus passes to get around town in - which is a nice perk! They have a handful of different types of saunas which were super relaxing to go around and rotate in. The pool is clean and great to cool off in after the saunas.

    Berchtesgaden is a famous Alpine resort. You can find peace and relaxation here. Besides, there are very interesting historical sites inside the town and in its surroundings as well. It is a perfect place if you like both nature and history. You can visit the royal palace and cathedral, museums, go up to Obersalzberg and Eagle's Nest, sail by boat to St. Bartholomew Church at the King's Lake. Finally, Berchtesgaden is close to Salzburg to which it is easily connected by bus.

    An amazing place, visited many, many years ago.

    An amazing place, visited many, many years ago. The people are friendly and it is a beautiful place. The only negative thing is that a lot of the restaurants close fairly early, even at the weekend.

    The family was so friendly!

    The family was so friendly! I am vegetarian so the mother who cooks dinners for everyone every day, adapted my dishes to my vegetarian needs. She also made me a special blueberry, homemade warm pancake dessert to surprise me. The son who spoke more English, was very helpful and gave me a table in the balcony with la beautiful view of the Alps. If you want a place where you can bicycle, hike, and relax, with a hearty breakfast and tasty homemade meals, this is the place!

    Frankfurt to Berchtesgaden often gets congested due to ongoing road work. But best views while driving. Town Center got all necessary shops so once can grab needed things. Salt mine guided trip was nice and affordable price . We got photos for free😇. Königsee boat is best and Jennerbahn is okay okay but clubbed ticket of 54 eur is still affordable covering both. Fantastic lake view.

    Visit Ramsau and the church.

    Visit Ramsau and the church. Visit Konigsee and Obersee - absolutely stunning scenery. Berchtesgaden Stiftskirche St. Peter church is beautiful. Buses and trains are free with the guest card provided by your accommodation.

    We liked the hotel very much, I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said it was the best hotel we stayed in Europe. We stayed in other 4 or 5 star hotels in Europe but we have never met such smiling and attentive staff who care so much about customer satisfaction. The breakfast and meals were also very nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend the 2 Michelin starred Pur Restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The most incredible thing is the view of the Alps from your room.

    A great place to stay to see Berchtesgaden, Köningssee etc. Although it is on a roundabout, the traffic noise was minimal as we were on the back/side. We had a room in the newer part, with a balcony and lovely view of the mountains. The room and bathroom were very spacious and well equipped. The staff was extremely friendly - at reception as well as in the restaurant. Free parking below/round the back of the hotel.

    After staying in several different hotels around Germany we found our favourite! The owners are extremely serviceminded, and the breakfast was amazing. The couple takes good care of their guests. The wife helped us with information regarding things to do around the area, and the husband made us some lovely breakfast bags for our journey (since we had to leave early on our departure day). Recommend strongly! 🌞

    When I plan I next trip to Berchtesgaden I won't even bother looking at other hotels. Everything was really great. Free parking, good breakfast, excellent location. The hotel also provides a discount card for public transportation and discounts on attractions for those staying a few nights. The river outside the hotel is beautiful; as are the views of the mountains. The staff was very friendly.

    Everything was exactly as described and the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The view from the hotel is gorgeous and it is only 5-6 minutes walk from Berchtesgaden train station. Spa is small but cozy and the breakfast is excellent.
