I called in the wheatsheaf for a coffee with my dog before walking to were I was staying very friendly. Ive also had a lovely vegetarian meal at the sloop and had my dog with me. Its nice at the cafe down on the waters edge. Only thing is if you're alone with your dog you carnt go in to order food

We (my partner and I), really enjoyed our stay in Barton-upon-Humber. It's a beautiful part of the world and also very flat - so walking and exploring the area isn't too strenuous. Barton is also quite full of places to go, with an abundance of pubs offering delicious food and local ales.

Very interesting place - quiet now but would have bustled with industry in its heyday. St Peter's Church, the Ropery and Tile Works all worth visiting. Crossing the Humber Bridge at sunset is unforgettable.

Really great stay at this hotel. Very clean, nicely presented place and great atmosphere.
We had a meal on the Friday evening for 8 of us and the service was first class. Food itself was very enjoyable and cooked well.
Saturday evening threre was a live band on and the place was packed.
Beer is also good by the way :-)
Will be staying here again when we visit Barton upon Humber - thank you Vicky and staff
ps: There was'nt provision for breakfast but no big deal - would be good to incolude this going forward though
The whole experience was lovely and personal from the start. The restaurant is beautiful and the room was along a quaint corridor with a lovely simple style. The staff were amazing. We didn't eat in the restaurant but went for a nightcap and the chef was chatting to us about our stay and the area - we felt extremely welcome. We were even invited to join his party. The food in the morning for breakfast was absolutely gorgeous! We even told some friends to come for breakfast who had stayed in another hotel!
The room was comfortable and very clean; more home than guest house. Accessibility was excellent. Breakfast was as good as 5 star hotel. Overall I couldn't have picked a better overnight place. The owner, Pam was available but never intrusive. This quiet place is a hidden gem and I would recommend it without reservation.
It's quirky and different. The breakfast was very good. The bathroom had a walk in shower and was very clean. The owner was extremely helpful in providing extra pillows and Iron/ironing board. Best iron I've ever had in a hotel!
We also ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was great!
The property is very clean and the staff are very helpful. The food is great And the breakfast are probably the best I have had at any hotel. Continental breakfast was provided in my room as well which was very good.
The food was lovely and the location was fantastic. The lake side terrace was so lovely and idyllic. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and even though short staffed they were very efficient.
