Really unique lodge. The staff were helpful. We were the only ones there so it was dead quiet. The sauna was a treat. The plentiful self-serve breakfast was great.

Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm.
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm. The hotel handled the situation very amenably. Good food in the hotel and also at the café and village shop in Breiddalsvik itself, which is about 5 km away. Fantastic scenery all round. Motor museum and brewery in the village with the opportunity to go for horse rides directly from the hotel.

It was a wonderful quiet town with lots of people who were very friendly. It seems that the town stays awake and serves food and drinks providing that people are their to eat and drink. Their service is first class.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel with its luxurious amenities! The jacuzzi and sauna were such a treat, providing the perfect relaxation after a long day of exploring. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making my experience even more enjoyable. The room was spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful and rejuvenating getaway!
The hotel was large and had nice common rooms to sit and relax. We were able to have our morning coffee in the fireplace area. Unfortunately a tour bus of people arrived to the town in the moment and a tour of the art was given (to people not staying in the hotel) and a few tourists invaded my personal space being guided by the concierge. This was especially unwelcome during Covid.
Cute little hotel located in a quiet town. We absolutely enjoy our stay. The hospitality from the staff and manager is just beyond our expectations. They opened the buffet breakfast just for us as we were the only guests staying that night - what a lovely gesture! We have stayed a few hotels in Iceland (including the Retreat at Blue Lagoon) but this hotel is top of the list!
The staff, facilities and overall "vibe" of this hotel was great! The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The rooms are all wood paneled and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept on in over 10 days out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Iceland! We would definitely stay here again!
The hotel met our expectations. An attendant was present when we arrived and gave us information about the hotel, its restaurant and a local touring map of the area. Breakfast was freshly prepared in the morning. The restaurant also offered dinner for an additional charge and was excellent.
A Quiet area with peaceful view! Smooth check-in although we were late on the day. Cosy room with comfortable beds! There were a sauna and a jacuzzi free to use and we were served with a great breakfast! The hotel owner was super friendly and sweet. We were super lucky to stay there.
The staff were amazing to help us when we couldn't leave to our next destination due to a storm that close all the roads and gave us suggestions.
The hotel is located across a craft beer bar, a small grocery and a restaurant.
The breakfast is totally worth.
Our room was a lovely cozy cottage behind the hotel, with a forest right behind it. There was a small kitchen as well so we enjoyed our own dinner. We had a really great time and we slept like little babies, it was very comfortable.
An amazing isolated hotel with spectacular views. The service and meals were wonderful. We were there at the very end of the season. Be prepared for a 30 kilometer drive on a gravel road to access the site.
We were greeted with a wonderful happy vibe at this hotel! We enjoyed the bar, inviting library for sitting by the fire, and a wonderful breakfast. We would highly recommend this hotel. The views were amazing!
We stayed in the chalet just behind the hotel which was great. Small little private cabin that had kitchen, table, everything we needed. Large breakfast buffet.
We booked at Hotel Post, but upon arrival we were "upgraded" to the neighbouring Hotel Breiddalsvik (same owners apparently), my evaluation reflects that place.
