Very cozy, comfortable, clean. Nice personnel and you have access to tea/coffee area. Also, sauna and hot tube available, unfortunately we didn’t have to use it, but it looked nice. Breakfast was tasty too.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir.

booked it online, arrived at the hotel, which is located next to a new bright shiny hotel but the Post hotel is in an old building that looks like a ruin at first glance so I thought this was a scam ? ... but no... don't judge a book by its cover , don't judge a hotel by its outside appearance, ... inside it is fresh, new , clean, wonderful... it is like a museum outside , almost like an abandoned ghost-town movieset hahahha, I love it... but very clean fresh nice rooms inside, and my room was right near the kitchen so it wasn't far to go get coffee ;-)

This is not a posh hotel.. but it has such a nice ambiance for relaxation and meditation! It has a nostalgic feel to it! The staff is welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is great.. we had a very delicious dinner and a good breakfast! The food was outstanding and affordable! The waitress was very attentive and kind. The surroundings of the property is exceptional.. with the hotel overlooking the lake and the mountains.. on the sides there are small ports and the back of a hotel is a resting town rich in history.

Berunes is a historic, family-run farm by the Ring Road, 22 mi from Djúpivogur, quietly set on a fjord between mountains and sea. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges.

We absolutely loved this place. The owner, the "Elf Lady," is simply amazing—so kind, caring, and welcoming. She made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, clearly prepared with love and attention to every detail. We only regretted that we had to continue our journey, because this is the kind of place that deserves a much longer stay. We truly hope to come back one day.

The property was very clean . I liked it that there were only five barrels situated in a separated area which provided some quietness and privacy.

Great accomodation! As a family we have been located in separate apartment = half a house ovelooking a harbor. Great view, superb fascilities with laundry and dryer allowing us to refresh a bit offloading our laundry bag. Additional nice touch is great restaurant in the main building which is serving dinner offerring local fish, variety of local and international dishes and choice of pizzas (Italians would cry but it was tasty, I would rather call it an open pie). Breakfast is served in other area, suggesting good standard variety of choices. Kids went for free - nice touch.

Located in Djúpivogur village, this hostel offers rooms with free WiFi. The rooms are located in a separate house, while there is a shared kitchen in the main building.
