The hotel felt very much like Maine. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants.
We were there during a snowstorm and the staff was very considerate and brushed off all the cars in the parking lot. Very thoughtful staff.
Offering rooms with an ocean view, this Bar Harbor waterfront property features daily nature cruises from its private dock and has both indoor and outdoor pools.
Amazing staff and very tasty breakfast. Beautiful location with ocean view

Great location! Clean rooms and a very good breakfast.
Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads.
Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe.
We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

We loved Gaylns restaurant, excellent food.
We loved Gaylns restaurant, excellent food. Whole belly clams were terrific at the Thirsty Whale. You can walk just about every where. The Sightseeing & Nature Cruise with Acadian Nature Cruises was worth taking.

absolutely gorgeous.
absolutely gorgeous. Loved the distance from the hotel to Acadia Nt'l Park, as well as, to the center of Bar Harbor. Love all the shops & exploring the different restaurants in town. We've been 1x before & the weather was perfect for getting great views @ the top of the mountains in Acadia. This time, we weren't so lucky - very foggy daily. But it was still just as beautiful. Highly recommend. the outdoor pool & hot tub are fantastic here after a long day of biking/hiking. The view of the ocean with the docked ships is quite beautiful. If you're lucky like we were, you may see Bald Eagles, deer or other wild life. :)

We had a different perception of what Bar Harbor was going...
We had a different perception of what Bar Harbor was going to be like. We also met a few people downtown at a restaurant's outdoor fireplace that had the same opinion.
We thought it was going to be a quaint town on the coast. It was very touristy with an abundance of t'shirt and souvenirs shops.
Our visit took place first week in October, lots of people. We found parking downtown, you just need some patience. The Chart House has a great happy hour on the pier out back, great cocktails $10 (not well, premium labels) and fresh oysters ($2ea)
Our recommendation would be to stay at a smaller town on the coast with access to Acadia National Park. The park has 40+ miles of bike trails, called carriage trails, and the drive up Cadillac Mountain is worth making a reservation on-line. Views from the top are beautiful
Booked at the last minute and so glad we did! The hotel is beautiful, great location and in walking distance to everything. The bed was wonderful and had plent of pillows- did not skimp at all! The room was the best- 2 beds/ bathroom and decorated so fun and beautiful. Loved how it was pictures and decor from the area around. The staff was great and sweet. Amazing grab and go breakfast- wow! Can’t wait to come back and stay again!
What a gorgeous location. This hotel was the highlight of our trip to Maine. Beautiful ocean views from our balcony. We sat outside in November just to enjoy the ocean. The continental breakfast is an actual menu of fancy omlette's, breakfast sandwiches etc. The food was delicious and the bistro meal was super high end. Everything is so upscale and it's so close to main street. Absolutely loved it.
Morgan and the whole staff were welcoming and attentive. They have awesome complimentary coffee in the lobby and maps of the area. They recommended local dining that was great. We were there the last weekend most places were open. We really enjoyed the hotel and that it was in the middle of town. Walking distance to everything. Thank you Bar Harbor, We'll be back.
This was a GREAT find. Loved the country feel. Our room had been updated and was really comfortable. Was nice to have a bathroom vanity large enough to accommodate the 'stuff' of 3 adults. The breakfast was the best we had for a 'hotel' breakfast. This facility had the best laundry room of the ones we used on our trip!
Contactless check-in with room code texted to your phone is so convenient. Comfortable bed with a small kitchenette and mini fridge. Located very close to Acadia park entrance as well as downtown Bar Harbor. Great water pressure though the stand up shower is a bit small.
The location can't be beat! We loved waking up to the water views in the morning, and having easy walking distance access to downtown Bar Harbor. The local movie theater/pizza place was a lot of fun on the one rainy day we were there -- highly recommend.
The location was great. You were close to everything. The shuttle to the downtown picks you up right at the door. Breakfast was really good. Staff was very friendly. Even if the rooms are a bit dated they were very clean.
The host was very welcoming and helpful providing lots of useful information.
The accomodation is clean, there is parking space included and available.
The center of Bar Harbor is within a 10 minutes walking distance.
It was a great location within a really short drive to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. The staff was friendly and gave assistance when needed. The room was large and had plenty of room to spread out.
Located a short hop from downtown Bar Harbor. Just a 15 min walk to Bar Harbor, or otherwise accessible via the Eden Street line of the Island Express Bus, which has a stop at the nearby Acadia Inn.
Loved this hotel. Great location near downtown Bar Harbor, amazing sunrise view over the water from room 48. Loves that they have free coffee available and a cute gift shop. Plenty of parking!
Great hotel I would stay there again close to downtown Bar Harbor The rooms were updated and king bed was very comfortable Continental breakfast was awesome and attendant was fantastic
Clean, comfortable, quiet, not in the craziness of "downtown" Bar Harbor, and the price is right. Also, just down the road from the best BBQ in Maine, "Mainely Meat BBQ Dreamwood Hill."
Location was great. The hotel had a bus service to downtown Bar Harbor leaving/arriving every half hour. We left our car and used this service, and it worked out great.
Loved it here. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The location was close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
