Hotel in Camden
Featuring a nightly campfire with s’mores, this Camden, Maine hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a free deluxe continental breakfast to its guests. It was the perfect place for my daughter and me! Everyone was helpful and friendly. The nighttime fire and s'mores were fun and delicious. The people around the fire were always friendly and accepting of our dog. It is a great place to stay with a pet. The grounds are beautiful and the walk to town is so easy and close. The breakfast is really good and the coffee is excellent - freshly ground beans. I really don't know that there is anything I would suggest to improve our stay there. I've never been to Maine before and just was fortunate to find this place. It had good reviews so we took a chance and were not disappointed. My daughter said several times to me that I made a great choice and she couldn't imagine having a better place to stay for dog friendly, location and amenities.

Located in Camden, a 4-minute walk from High Street Historic District, Whitehall provides accommodations with a bar, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. The location was wonderful and like stepping back in time. I spent my last evening walking to the historic downtown and back to an old grocery store that had been in business for 150 years. This hotel was even featured in the 1957 film "Peyton Place" and the town was the setting for it.

What an adorable place! From the moment you enter the lobby and attached dining porch there is a stunning view of the water. We stayed in room 8 with a king sized bed and that fabulous water view! The room was immaculate. The dining porch was absolutely charming and we actually saw a sailboat pass by on the bay during breakfast. The breakfast included muffins and popovers made in house by the owner and locally roasted coffee. Not to be missed!

Downtown easily walkable. Many choices for dining and shopping. We went during shoulder season and not all restaurants and shops were open and if they were, hours were limited . Can easily see when in season things would get very crowded.
Camden is one of Maine's prettiest towns, it sits on the water and is surrounded by mountains, perfect! Downtown Camden is so picturesque with its harbor and cute little shops, so many from which to choose! Although the weather was not nice at all while we visited, we were able to get out and walk and loved that Camden had a fraction of visitors that it typically has!
The blackberry bed-and-breakfast was the best accommodations and the staff could not have been better. We did go to Natalie‘s restaurant the first night we arrived in Camden and we were turned away I believe it was because the group consisted of six Chinese people and one black man. That was very disappointing we did go back to Natalie‘s the next night and it was a big mistake on our part as the restaurant was not what it was height to be. It was misleading and overpriced
Shopping in the town could be done in an afternoon. Admiring the architecture could also be done in one afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed a three hour harbor cruise and wouldn't have wanted to miss it. If I traveled to this area of Maine again, I'd stay in a little larger village but travel to Camden for maybe a couple of days and nights. It is a beautiful little harbor village and extremely picturesque!
There are lots of little Mom and Pop shops within walking distance from many hotels/inns, and the people are super friendly. It's definitely a dog-lovers paradise with lots of fur friends to pet everywhere you go. The bagel shop and ice cream shops were our favorites.
Great coastal Maine town with great shops, scenery, and restaurants to choose from. Many historic inns to select from for accommodations. Highly recommend to visit in the off season (November through April).
Camden
The breakfast was delicious ESPECIALLY the French Toast. It was probably the best I've ever had! The place was SPOTLESS! The defogging mirror in the bathroom was a very nice touch. I loved that they provided a folder with information with the WiFi code, restaurants, shopping & things to do on a rainy day. The Hosts were so nice and talked to all their guests. They were really familiar with the local restaurants/neighboring towns and gave wonderful suggestions. I would absolutely stay there on my next trip to Camden!
Camden
Location is in the beautiful Historic District of Camden and is one of many historic homes. The bay with schooners is a block away and the home is located near everything by walking! Dave’s attention to detail inside the house as well as his homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious! We had a comfortable stay at Abigail’s and will highly recommend this B&B to family and friends!
Camden
A beautiful house, very clean and tastefully arranged by Kim. Kim is a very nice and careful host and prepared a wonderful breakfast, every day something new: there was always juice (various types), coffee or tea, fruits, a plate with eggs and something added (bacon, potatoes, vegetables), toast and a sweet cake. We will come back to Camden and for sure stay with her.
The room was very cosy with a fireplace. Loved that! Balcony with nice view Very good bathroom with great shower (water could come form all the corners!) Nice bar where they made great cocktails Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Nice chairs to sit in. Xmas feeling. Good recommendation to go to a mountain and to go to a lobster place
OJ, coffee, blueberry muffin, and popover were excellent at breakfast. When I checked in, the Camden Regatta had filled the view to seaward with sailboats. We were able to watch sailboats until we left for supper. The staff were welcoming, smiling, answering even our unimportant questions patiently, and helpful.

The location was convenient as we could walk into town and see the harbor. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with information about the Inn and local attractions and restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious. Made and served by Janis and Peter, they were exceptional. The Inn is beautiful with some period furnishings along with beautiful art and sculptures. The grounds and acre yard are as pretty as any park I've seen. Just gorgeous flowers and shrubs.
