Guy who checked me in at the front desk was taciturn, not friendly and not very helpful. Did not have any info for any of the questions I asked and denied any responsibility for anything... kept saying, "the manager of the hotel hasn't given me any instructions on that... you have to talk to him about that..." very frustrating.

Whether this place will work for you depends on several things. If you intend for it to be just a room where you sleep. Then it's average close subpar. The beds were terrible so sleeping was not even comfortable for and anyone who was with me.
If you're looking for your stay to be a little bit more than that then you might want to look elsewhere.
Another good point is the area has a lot of restaurants nearby so that's a definite plus. There's a waterpark facility up the street which we would've loved to have gone to experience.

I was charged for 2 nights instead of the 1 night I was booked for. Called to get a credit and the person was extremely rude, would not give me my money back. Would never stay there again. Any one staying there should make sure they are not overcharged before thy leave.

Good access to affordable dining!
Good access to affordable dining! (China Palace has wonderful choices!) Also had no problem finding things when needed (clothing, groceries, etc.) Traffic wasn’t as bad as some other parts of Chicago but it still takes forever to go anywhere.

Very nice and comfortable place to stay. My single room with a spa was very clean. There are nice restaurants and shops nearby. Highly recommend for someone with own transportation. Otherwise the nearest train station is Harlem which is 15 mins drive. The staff are very friendly and there are complimentary coffee and tea in the dining as well as two desktop computers for use in the lounge.
The place was not clean enough for us to trust the breakfast. There was a smell of cats but I was told with a nasty attitude that they don’t allow cats but when moved to the next room we heard a cat meow so that wasn’t true. The hotel was like a boarding house of some sorts.
I feel i was cheated. I booked for 2 days , 8th and 9th Aug. But on my checkin i didn't like the hotel ambience so left that hotel in 5mins and checked out. Raj was there in the reception .He told money will be refunded back but still i have not got a call or refund.
Was very quiet and great location. Love Super 8 continues to keep the coffee maker & coffee in each room - PLEASE never take this away as this is a MAIN reason we continue to book here over many years!
they refuse to refund my cancellation, i did not stay in the property due to unsanutary backed up toilets and a second room that was being used unknown to the hotel staff
