Right in the middle of the old mountain town and beach town and conveniently located close to the highway exit. Great sea views from our balcony. Traditional decor that was charming. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was… outstanding. Ample parking. Quiet in the evenings.
Enjoy the sea air from your private balcony in this hotel, make the most of the sunshine by the outdoor pool –you are just a short stroll to the beach.

The breakfast was very good with a large selection to choose from. The location was perfect and only a short walk to the center. The staff were super and so helpful.

Maro is a lovely small town with fantastic restaurants and the best beach I've been to. It's a 5-minute drive from Nerja which is a lot busier and easily accessible by taxi. But to stay I would definitely recommend Maro as it is calm and very enjoyable. The local residents were also very nice and welcoming. It also has caves, music festivals and plenty of playgrounds and picnic parks.

Beach 25 minute walk away ,worth it!!!
Beach 25 minute walk away ,worth it!!! Great swimming beach fishes jumped out of the water when we were swimming, canoes to hire on beach and a few sunbeds, really good value to hire at 5 euros for the day. Keeps you fit . Saw a pair of huge Griffin vultures flying overhead as we walked uphill from playa de Maro , pretty spectacular. The land around you is agricultural, so lots of irrigated crops, running water and verdant scenery. Saw butterflies, preying mantis. The flies are a nuisance though, they bite you. 3 small stores to get necessities and 4 places to eat. Also another very natural lovely beach to go to through the plastic greenhouses. Both beaches about 25 minute walk away.

There are 2 beaches.one is a about 15 min walk and it’s quite
a slog back up the hill from the beach.
You can take the car down to the second beach but parking is difficult.
It’s lovely to visit the town square around dusk when the birds
are singing before settling for the night.
Lovely quiet town.

My family stayed in Maro because of our preference to stay in smaller villages as opposed to cities. Maro was very close to the caves of Nerja and among some historic relics. The beach was a long sloping walk among an agricultural endeavor but fascinating in its own right.
The village of Maro is lovely, smaller and cozier than Nerja. The owners are the sweetest older Spanish couple. They were super helpful and just really nice, although they don't speak English.
The furniture is older but very practical, we had a huge terrace just for ourselves with a wonderful seaview.
The apartment was absolutely clean and the beds were comfortable.
Very spacious rooms ,very fresh decor ,nice quality ,good coffee machine , I enquired about a kettle , one appeared within the hour , very accommodating host ,well located close to balcon de maro,on a very quiet street ,amazing roof terrace with excellent views of sea and mountains and got very warm in October, it's effectively a whole floor of a large house
Maro is a lovely little village outside Nerja. I stayed here with my daughter and we had a perfect few days. The apartment is clean, well equipped and well located. The rooftop pool is small. More a plunge pool than a swimming pool. Great for cooling down in the hot Spanish sun ☀️
The apartment was good value for money, with a small balcony and view of the sea, and more spacious than I had expected. I'd been to Maro before, it is a lovely place to spend a few days, much quieter than Nerja which is a short bus-ride or 45 minute walk away.
Beautiful renewed apartment in the quiet place of Maro.
Absolutely cleanliness, modern furnished with nice wiew on the sea.
Manager Francisco is a very pleasant nice person.
I would recomended the place!
The location overlooking the sea was just perfect. The apartment is very basic, but the location in quiet Maro is ideal for visiting all the nearby Nerja has to offer and you’re away from the crowds.
A lovely newly renovated apartment. Nice big bed, spacious shower and a small balcony. The view is the best in Maro - looking over avocadotrees and the ocean
