The owners of this friendly and cosy hostal are great! They make everything possible, e.g. they set up the whole breakfast bufett half an hour earlier, because I had to be at school already at nine o clock. For my last day, where I had to check out very early, they left a lovely arranged lunch package at my door. Those two guys are so friendly and warm and helpful. If I visit Nerja again, I definitely will stay with them again. Thank you so much!

Beautiful white Spanish town. Be sure to visit the old city and go down to the beautiful beaches. Have tapas or dinner at Sallauders restaurant on Avd Mediterraneo which serves traditional Spanish food (as compared with adjacent establishments serving what you get back home). The white sangria at Sallauders is fantastic and the Gambas pil pil was the best we had in Spain. The pulled lamb was excellent too - home made cooking by the owner.
We enjoyed the Nerja Caves and walking around in the city. Parking in the city can be tricky but is reasonable. Not a place for a long term visit unless you are just there to relax. Enjoyable and easy to drive to along the coastal hiway.
We (2 adults, 2 boys (12+16)) were in Nerja in August for 1.5 days. We could see everything we wanted to in this time. The town is very clean and attractive. There are nice buildings and countryside to see. the views from this area are breathtaking and unique in the middle of a town. Great to see. The town is really relatively small and all of the things that most people want to come here for are accessible on foot and the distances are short. We stayed in a nice accomodation 10 minutes from the bridge. Parking is horrible unless you have a reserved space (which we did). Go see the bullfighting arena and wander along the paths along the gorge. In this town, just looking and wandering was great.
Beautiful, compact, bustling even at the end of November with a huge variety of bars, cafes, restaurants offering authentic Spanish fayre ranging from tapas with a beer for 1 euro 80 cents to a 3 course meal with vino tinto for £30 pp and everything in between. The Balcon d'Europe is a massive visitor attraction (careful you don't end up in some avid tourist's Instagram picture) and the winding snickety streets are packed with all the shops you'd need. Best eaterie - La Dama - doesn't look too sophisticated but the food and service are spectacular at a really cheap price.
Nerja is by the sea below the hills. Nearby valleys full of avocado, citrus and pomegranate trees. Well established but mainly low rise buildings. We visited in early November, we were lucky with the weather in mid twenties. Easy to walk around but there are some slopes. Good choice of restaurants along the beach, in and around town. Good roads. Visit Frigiliana and Malaga.
We had beautiful weather and three wonderful dinners at different locations. A favorite was a laid back beach bar and restaurant with charcoal grilled shrimp and sardines. Mauri’s in Nerja. They also had paella for 1 which is hard to find.
The hotel was very nice for a 3 star category. The location is very good - its in walking distance to two beaches and close to the town centre. There are also two supermarkets and a park to the back of the hotel. Nerja offers a lot of places to eat out, but we had booked halfboard and the food was good, perhaps a bit too much influenced by British tourists (some more salt on the food would have been nice).
The hotel is in the perfect location. Just a short stroll to the centre of Nerja with all its bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is spotless, hard to think why its only 3 star. I love the fact that everything in the mini bar is only 1 euro; every hotel I’ve ever stayed the mini bar is a complete rip off so nice to see a Hotel that puts thinks about the customer for once
Superb location on sea front of Burriana Beach. Not noisy. A huge balcony. Well equipped apartment. Parking not a problem on the roadside although would be a challenge in peak seasons. Easy walk to the centre of Nerja although if you have mobility problems you might need a short taxi ride as the hill from Burriana is steep.
The location is perfect, quiet but near the centre of Nerja, Staff very helpful and friendly and the room clean and modern. Yummy breakfasts in the cafeteria Mena downstairs. Couldn’t ask for more for our 4 day stay over Christmas. Would definitely recommend Hotel Mena - can’t believe it has only 2 stars - what a find!!
Nice hotel with very good location👌 The room was nice and tidy with very comfortable bed. Very close to the city centre with loooooots of restaurants and shops, few min walk to the beach. Highly recomending Hotel Bajamar! We will come back to this place when we're in Nerja.
The woman at the reception desk at Hotel Mena Plaza was more than kind. I arrived exhausted and could not get to the hotel because if the semana santa parade blocking the streets. She walked me over to Hostal Mena herself so I wouldn't get lost. I really appreciated her help.
The apartment was very spacious with excellent parking facilities. The pool areas were clean and had enough sun beds. The location is a 20 minute easy walk into the centre of Nerja and less than 5 minute drive to Burriana Beach.
Very comfortable hotel with lovely pool & bar. Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly & very clean rooms. Hill down to beach, fine on way down, killer coming back up. 15 mins walk into Nerja Centre 😊
We had a fabulous spacious two bedroom apartment. Great value. We were there the first night the hotel opened for the season so no meals were available. Plenty of restaurants close by so it was no problem.
Second time in staying there. Clean, comfortable and convenient for the centre of Nerja and a very short walk to the beach. Lots of choice for bars and restaurants!!
Close to beach. Pleasant beachside pool-focused hotel. Nice enough if you just want to lounge by a pool near the beach, but pricey for what it is.
Superior rooms were finished to a high spec. Location is incredible. Staff all lovely & common areas are immaculate. Great hotel.
Great hotel. Great location. Awesome services. Loved the pools, the terrace and esp the after check out shower facility.
Beautiful clean apartment in gorgeous town of Nerja. Walk to center in 6 minutes. Coffee shops great dining close by
The location was perfect-across the street from the beach, restaurants, bars, and shops. A short walk up the hill to the Balcón de Europe area for more shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. We made the walk several times and enjoyed the views along the way. Even though the location was directly above bars and restaurants, it was so quiet at night we could hear the waves hitting the shore from our bed. The patio was HUGE and well equipped. The rooftop pool was refreshing, and there were lounge chairs and umbrellas galore. The views from the rooftop were amazing!!! The room had everything you could need for a long stay. We will definitely be coming back to stay here.
The apartment was in a good location for access to the nearby hotels and bars and there was a lovely cave bar a couple of minutes walk away which also served food . The TV also had all the satellite channels which was a bonus .
Beautiful location and clean, comfortable apartment at a great price. I hope to come back for sure!
Breakfast in the room. Wonderful views and beautiful garden. Spacious. Friendly efficient staff.
Well equipped kitchen, comfortable couch and chairs. Easy Street access.
Looks it having some history but well maintained.
