We’d been looking for a family room near the Kielder Observatory and most pubs needed us to take two rooms or other accommodation needed us to stay two nights. The Boe Rigg had a family room and very reasonably priced. The photos didn’t do the accommodation justice. When we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised to find a lovely large airy room with both kitchen facilities and an tv/seating area. There’s a lovely cozy bar area in the public section, restaurant and outdoor tables overlooking beautiful fields which is home to the campsite. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. There is some renovation work going on it the campsite facilities but it wasn’t a problem.

Beautiful property with restaurant attached. Bed was super comfy, room was warm and toiletries were lovely. Filter coffee and artisan chocolate in the room was a lovely treat. Restaurant evening meal and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Decor was lovely throughout.

Lovely warm room. Comfortable bed , slept well as very quiet . Nice shower . Food on dinner menu was amazing . The quality of food would beat any restaurant in a big city. Inventive menu sourcing local produce .
