The hotel is very well located as it is right next to the bus stop and metro station, which is very convenient as the bus from the airport leaves you literally at the entrance of the hotel. In the metro station there are restaurants and shops. Also, it's very close to the stadium and convention center, only two block away!
Finally, the breakfast buffet is very good!

Coming from an artist, I can say this is a hotel where things are made well out of real materials, and in an honest way. The room we stayed was something like Japanese and Victorian mixed, and we loved it. It is not new, but everything was well done, and the small garden was really quite spectacular. A very good example of a Japanese garden.

Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season was magical. Kokura Zoo is great. Slot car racing at Hunaudieres in Aruaru City was fabulous! Kitakyūshū Peace Museum is not to be missed, everyone should be required to experience this incredible place. Same goes for the Kitakyūshū Museum of Natural History! Lunch at the Kitakyushu City Central Library Cafe was perfect for the price.

We visit Kitakyushu every year because we have family members living there. I love Kitakyushu because of how peaceful and less crowded it is and I know the place more than the other cities in Japan. Kitakyushu also has a lot of local tourist spots that can be reached if you rent a car or by bus/train.

I had friends there, that showed us around a great deal. There's a nearby steam train run that was fantastic. The caves at the Karst Plateau were a great adventure. Also a high-school sumo tournament was fun. Trains and subways were easy. Kokura castle is definitely worth a visit! Lots of displays.

We stayed in Kokura which has a Shinkansen station, so it is a very good base to visit the whole of southern Japan. We came here for the Rugby World Cup. There was one restaurant in particular, called Nabun Thai Restaurant just next to one of our hotels, which had really excellent food.

There is a lot to see in this city.
There is a lot to see in this city. The food culture is diverse, the art and music scene as well. It’s very close to travel from one place to another from Kitakyushu. There’s Mojiko that is really close. Fukuoka is about an hour bus ride. It’s a perfect place to stay if you wanna do one day trips to other places. I personally found the city easily walkable from everywhere.

Very bad hotel, dirty, room with serious smoke smell, very small, NO wifi provided which is different from hotel description, staff service very bad. I booked 2 rooms but they provided us the rooms in different floors even we request to have the same floor. Staff were very inconsiderate, old style hotel, dirty, serious smoking smell. If this hotel is in China, may only costs HK$100, but now we booked at HK$700 per room, DIRTY ROOM! Never go again, other guests please take care!!!
This very nice hotel is so easy to find after you get off the train. Just go out the main exit on the pedestrian mall and look to your right. You will see the top of the hotel from there. It is an easy five minute walk from there. Check-in was easy with the help of the receptionist, which made check-out easy. The staff members who helped us were kind. Our room was small, but comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was good. This hotel is within walking distance of Tanga Market and Kokura Castle.
Convenient location directly across train station but not noisy. Typical Japanese breakfast buffet was good to have before getting on Shinkansen. Double bed was comfortable and suitable to sleep 2 people but floor space is tight (typical) if you have large bags it would be hard to manage them. Small mini fridge and kettle in room was nice to have. Microwave available in lobby. Perfect for an overnight to catch train. Plenty of toiletries if you forgot something; also robe and slippers.
I loved this location a lot. It was clean and beautiful, but rustic like a Victorian house. I loved the garden views from different places around the hotel, the privacy of the garden and hotel from the outside world, and the calm, peaceful atmosphere. The koi fish were adorable, and the walking path was nice. This is the best staff I've ever met; I wrote them in advance about a health condition, and they did their best to accommodate me.
A classy hotel within easy walking distance of the Kokura Shinkansen station and the convention center. The rooms are nice and clean, with plenty of amenities and a beautiful view of Kitakyushu. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with both Japanese and Western offerings. The room service dinner options were also tasty and very decently priced.
The location was great for a weekend. I was able to walk along the river to the Toto toilet museum on Sunday morning. The stand bar (with seating) next door (in the direction of the station) was perfect for dinner by myself. The name of the stand bar is たちのみ11.
The ice machine at the hotel was nice.
First, a staff who can speak English is friendly and helpful. Congratulations! The hotel is just next to Kokura train station.
Second, the room is super clean and spacious enough for a single and twin bed. The hotel looks like a new hotel. I love it very much and will come again in the future.
Everything was excellent. The friendliness from the checkin crew to the small but compact and efficient room to the location aka only 5min to Hakata station where you can shop and eat till you drop and all that at a very reasonable price.
I love Japan
Good value and very big room in the Annex hotel. Free basic food such as bread, pastries, udon and curry with rice. Drinks are also free. You can leave your luggage at main hotel so its closer to the station even if you are staying in the Annex.
Everything. Great view, great amenities, view was beautiful, fireplace was special, and most of all the staff was attentive, responded quickly and very accommodating. I really cannot speak highly enough of my stay here at H&H Kitakyushu.
staff is very kind and it is not far from the station. Hotel provides free drinks and many facilities for low price. staff was kind enough to amend my booking when I couldn’t arrive due to heavy snow. i highly recommend this hotel.
Reception staff was very helpful and kind - she assisted us with our luggage up to 3rd level. Walked short distance out of hotel to direct us to where we wanted to go. Excellent service. No frills check-out - very convenient.
Typical APA hotel standard. If you are OK staying at this chain then you pretty much know what you are going to get. Nice touch that they video service was free.
