Wet afternoon watching AFL in front of a log fire in the bar was a perfect wind down in a busy trip!

A well appointed new park with all the amenities you need. Our room was quite small, but had room for your bag and had a small 2 seater table and minifridge, kettle and toaster. We were only staying overnight, so didn't require much space, and it was well priced. We loved the walk into St Helens (about 6kms round trip) - a great way to start the day.

Great facilities, very clean and very comfortable.
We stayed to visit mum in the nursing home in St Helens.
We stayed to visit mum in the nursing home in St Helens. We only live one & a half hours drive away and they made us feel most welcomed. We would have liked to stay an extra night and they tried to accommodate us but unfortunately they were fully booked out the following night. Queechy seems to be very popular as I have viewed booking in the past but they have always been booked out.

St Helens is a cute town on the east coast of Tasmania.
It is an ideal location to stay for a few days and venture into the interior and other interesting places to visit around the town.
Just don't eat at the RSL. I expected more seafood to be available.
Pick up some tasty take away from the special section at the front of the IGA in the mall.
Towns and cities have a strange idea about disability access.

Lovely town with great eateries.
Lovely town with great eateries. The IGA had a variety of salads, the larger one not the small on main road that offered fresh salads. Great board walk around the water.
The Tasman Holiday park was modern, good facilities, a view of the water and quiet. This was our first ever stay in one and we were impressed with the cabin and the price.

St Helen’s is the central services community for many nearby small holiday hamlets. It has good supermarkets and an excellent provedore plus restaurants and most of the service facilities a holiday maker would need. There are interesting and varied beaches in the area and plenty of boating & fishing for those who enjoy these pursuits. Plenty to like, we did not find anything to dislike.

St Helens is a pretty coastal town with a great bakery - Banjos! It is also the gateway to the Bay of Fires which is an absolutely stunning place, even had a swim in warmish - 19 degrees water st gorgeous Binalong Bay.
Location of Panorama Hotel is excellent and an easy walk to cafes and supermarket. Presentation is clean & basic but very tired and dated.
We had a water view room and the view was beautiful, importantly comfortable bed & great linen, hot shower & great towels.
We ate at the on site restaurant and that did not disappoint……… best well considered seafood platter we’ve had in many years.
Staff were friendly & helpful while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
We really liked the location and the style of the accommodation.
It was nice that there was some tea bags & some sugar, together with a few other pantry items.
There was plenty of wood for the fire, however, we didn't use any.
I was surprised to see that the property had a sauna, but again, we didn't use it.
Good Wifi and reasonable phone reception.
St. Helens has the BEST french restaurant in town.... a "must" to try.
Many thanks to Attila for the warm introduction.
When our group arrived at the hotel, Attila gave us a detailed introduction of where the restaurants are better and where the scenery is worth seeing. Not only the local ones but also the whole of Tasmania were introduced, which gave us a clearer understanding of many things that were not available from public introductions.

We loved our stay at Pelican Point ,especially looking at the bird life and the pond outside the lounge windows . It was such a peaceful place to stay in . I thought the scenery was going to be quite rugged being in a bird sanctuary but we were really surprised by how nice it is . Also the town of St Helens is nice as well . We hope to be back if we come to Tasmania again .
The owner gave us a great tip where to eat and it was perfectly romantic. He also pointed out the trails on his property and I made use of them. The Blue wren cottage is unassuming from the outside but is immaculate inside. Both of us slept soundly on probably the most comfortable bed during our month long tour of Victoria and Tasmania. There are 2 towns within 9 kilometers.
amazing place. we booked the hotel in the afternoon on the same day we would arrive in the afternoon. shortly after we received an email from manager Emily with all the details about self checkin. it was so easy and comfortable. the room was clean and just overall nice. the bed was amazing. our only regret was that we only had one night here :-)
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip around Tassie. There were chocolates and sparkling waiting for us which was such a special touch (thank you!!)
The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette was really handy. If we stayed longer we would have used the outdoor BBQs!
Would definitely recommend staying here.
Fantastic location to visit the Bay of Fires region, beaches and St Helens. The staff were really lovely and friendly and welcoming. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow and playground and playing with other families in the park. The restaurant on site also had amazing food and great views. Highly reccomend and we would stay again!
Great location, quiet. Big rooms with everything you could ask for. Very friendly staff.
If you are ever travelling through St Helens I can't recommend this motel more highly. It is called a motel but it is better than many hotel accommodations I have stayed in.
Great location (make sure you book a lake view room). Obviously an old hotel complex, and need of some refurbishment, but it had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
dinner breakfast also very good
St Helens on the Bay is an exceptional property! Extremely well presented and contains absolutely everything you could possibly need during your stay.
Lovely quiet area!
Just fantastic!
High quality of amenities and fixtures and fittings. Nice out of the way place but not isolated. St Helens makes an ideal hub to explore the northern East side of Tas.
The house was so big and beautiful. Location was fantastic with a view overlooking St Helens. We all loved the animals especially the emus who loved a feed and pat
