Good location close to main attractions and also to the metro station Serdica. My room was in the newer part of the hotel, so it was modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet (I did not hear the other rooms, but guests coming in the middle of the night talking very loudly in the corridor - such bad manners honestly - can be heard). Breakfast was good with many options to choose from if you don't come towards the end.

Only stayed a night. Got a renovated corner apartment with two beds even though didn’t need the extra bed. Best view of the city with NDK and mountains to the south and Nevsky to the east. Apartment has 4 balconies and wide windows providing a great view. It was nice to have a beer at night and coffee in the morning overlooking the city. Hotel situated in the center of city with everything within walking distance. Beds are comfy. The floor has a dedicated clothes ironing/steamer room. Just in case you wonder why there isn’t an iron in the room like us. Even though we left a couple of balcony doors open through the night it was surprisingly quiet. Didn’t have breakfast at hotel so no comment. Enjoyed our stay!!!

Sofia is the Bulgarian capital and its largest city, situated at the foot of Vitosha Mountain in the very center of the Balkan Peninsula. With a variety of architectural styles, picturesque scenery and easy access to outdoor activities, this city is a definite must-see!
From well-preserved city walls built in the 7th century BC through to the early Medieval buildings. From the 4th-century Rotunda St. George and 10th-century Boyana Church with its stunning 13th-century frescoes to Socialist-era monumental constructions, Sofia is a real treat for history lovers.
Most of the popular landmarks are located in the Oborishte district, the most central part of the city featuring plenty of greenery, cobbled streets and the most popular landmark, the Neo-Byzantine Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
Sofia has plenty of natural sites too, including the renowned thermal and mineral springs, the primary reason Thracians established the city here before the 7th century BC. Enjoy a walk in the most popular parks, the Borisova gradina or the impressive Vitosha Nature Park with more than 6,500 acres within the city limits.
From hiking to skiing on the Vitosha and from sightseeing to relaxing in mineral springs, Sofia has plenty of fun for everyone! On Booking.com you can find nearly 190 properties in the city, from 5-star central accommodations to convenient hotels near Sofia Airport.

We spent an afternoon in Sofia, mostly the bus/train station and Serdika areas. The bus stations desperately needs modernisation and more facilities but buses run on time so we can't argue with that.
It was an enjoyable few hours, the people were friendly, there are some roman ruins in the Serdika area with churches/mosques and a synagogue we saw. The trams through the city were very frequent. We used the metro for the airport and to our apartment which is excellent.

Liked the hotel, thexploring the city. the drive up the mountain and the view from the top of the old disused cable car, not many interesting attractions and the City does not appear to be geared up yet for international tourism.

Beautiful and lively city.
Beautiful and lively city. A lot of places of interest to visit - the Cathedral Alexander Nevski is impressive.
A lot of museums, art galleries and nice city parks and Vitosha mountain park.
A lot of restaurants with excellent food.
Easy walking in the central part of the city. Public transportation is very convenient. Taxi rides are not expensive.
Definitely recommend to everyone.

Sofia is very walkable.
Sofia is very walkable. I didn't need to use the metro or taxis for my itinerary. I spent 2.5/3 days there and saw everything I needed to leisurely.
The churches are beautiful. I recommend visiting them all, even briefly. Vitosha Boulevard is great but a little bit of a tourist trap. I'd still recommend walking along there and picking up souvenirs, having food and drink.
Shishman Street is less of a tourist trap and is lively during the evenings.
Food is good in general. There are plenty of options. I particularly liked Arbat (Russian restaurant) which is opposite the Russian Orthodox Church, St Nicholas. There are also many market stalls around, mostly between here and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
If you want some comfort/western food, I'd recommend Skaptoburger on Shishman Street - really good.
Nightlife is also great - Shishman Street and those nearby (Bar Friday, Beach Bar, Kristal Bar, etc.) and also many nightclubs around if that's of interest.

It is just an amazing city and country with culture and fantastic sites throughout the country that is not matched by other countries. Definitely a 'must' for anybody wanting to see and explore a fantastic city and country.
Modern hostel not too far from the center.
If you travel by car there is a public free parking area near the train station (not much far from the hostel), otherwise you have to use the parking spaces along the streets but they are paid during the day and it's possible to pay via SMS only if you have a mobile number from a Bulgarian mobile operator.
Friendly and helpful staff, it's present also during the night.
Each bed is equipped with two sockets (Very important), a light, a tent for privacy and a locker with key.
Hotel is at a central place so everything can be easily reached walking. Also the Metro is close by that takes you directly to the airport. A lot security around due to parliament, president palace etc. which are just next door. Supermaket in 3min Walking distance. Can recommend Skarabar for Bulgarian Food. Hotel Staff was really nice. Rooms were simple and clean. Television had even german channels. Coffee/Tea and kette available in the room. A lot choices for breakfast. All in all it was a really nice stay.
All as we expected.
Excellent breakfast. We arrived Sunday night/after 10pm.... sadly just too late to eat in the restaurant. However, the gentleman on reception solved everything. He suggested and ordered in one of the best vegetarian pizzas I think we've ever had. This plus a fine house wine from the restaurant in our room was just perfect. Many thanks.
Relatively easy drive (with sat nav) from Sofia airport. The hotel is on a main route out of Sofia and ring road... so easy access to all Bulgaria.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Geppy. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and professional and the room was very good for the price. The room had very good sound proofing, comfortable memory foam mattresses on the beds, the bathroom was clean and had a bath mat! (that's a first for me in Bulgaria) and there was a small balcony for the smokers.
Compared to other hotels of a similar price, this was by far the best we have had in Sofia. I look forward to staying next time we are in town.
This hotel was an easy 10/10. Everything was great.
Nice English speaking staff, parking lot, a good restaurant right across the street, good breakfast included. Everything was great but the cleanliness was outstanding: spotless bathroom, clean bedsheets. The mattress was very confortable. The room was big with a small balcony.
The location is good for transit (south of Sofia, in the Vitosha area) and from what I understood you can use a bus to reach the city center.
Situated right in the center but really quiet since the apartment is in a house in the back yard. Check-in was contactless and really easy. Everything (supermarket, bakery, bars, restaurants and sights) is nearby.
The apartment is nicely furnished, the bed comfortable and there is a nice coffee machine. It was exceptionally clean and the bathroom was the only one we had during our Bulgaria round trip with natural light.
The hotels host/front desk staff member Nikolai was very friendly and helpful. He spoke perfectly English and Bulgarian (he's Bulgarian). He done his job well. I personally admired his attention and care for his/their customers. The breakfast was very good as well. Good job to the staff at Best Western Plus Bristol Hotel!
It's close to the center and 2 minutes from the metro. Basic facilities but all functioning perfectly. I liked the outdoors area where I enjoyed my morning coffee and smoking in peace (coffee that you have to buy from outside the hotel). Friendly staff. If you don't want to spend much, it is good value for money.
Very clean, quiet, comfortable to stay hotel with own parking. Close to the heart of the city , easy access to everything you need , big supermarket near by. Very friendly staff, very rich breakfast with good coffee and Bulgaria herb tee. Big thank you to housekeeping staff as well, keeping the place very clean.
Very convenient location to explore Sofia. The room was clean, on the fifth floor overlooking Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Parliament building. The pillows were great. Breakfast was a bit overprized in comparison by other restaurants/cafes in Bulgaria, but the food was good with plenty of choices.
Wow the outside looks run down but once we entered the room wow beautiful and beautiful colourful and beautiful. The location is super and near the bus station. Walking distance to the city center. Bulgaria is a very safe country and deep in history. Sophia City center is a must to visit.
The modern look inside of the hotel, including room. Very friendly staff, even with my weak Bulgarian (only know three words) where really helpful and supportive. Car wash next to it, which is great if you rent a car and want to return it clean:-). Very clean room.
The service is really good and it is a luxury hotel. The view from the balcony was amazing. They serve a beautiful breakfast spread. It is vegetarian friendly as well. Do not miss their lemon tart dessert and the traditional Bulgarian banitsa. They were amazing.
The room was clean, the beds were the most confortable we have had in Bulgaria, the location is near the touristic center by foot, and the person from the reception was particularly helpful and nice, making her best to help us!! Very good and affordable
Great apartment with amazing artwork in the bathroom. Cosy kitchen and living room. Great location, next to a variety of big grocery stores, walking distance from Bulgaria Mall
The room is clean, there is a TV, but only in Bulgarian. Near by hotel is subway. The hotel staff is really pretty and smiling. And you can take candies in reception^^
Very nice hotel rooms, best pillows in Bulgaria so far for me , nice staff and convenient location close to the airport. I'll recomend this hotel in Sofia.
