Shenzhen is considered one of the most successful and prosperous cities in China. It is located in the Guangdong province, along the border with Hong Kong. Although 30 years ago it was a small fishing village, the creation of the first Special Economic Zone transformed the region into a bustling metropolis with almost 15 million people.
Its shiny urban landscape and cultural life include contemporary icons like the Shenzhen Library, the Concert Hall, and the Portofino complex. The districts of Futian, Luohu and Nanshan are packed with modern hotels, including some of the best 4 and 5-star accommodation in Shenzhen.
The city is famous for its amusement parks, including the’Splendid China and China Folk Culture Villages’. During the 17th century, migrants from the northern Hakka peoples arrived in significant numbers, and remnants like the ‘Crane Lake Fortified Hakka Village’ are an important legacy. The region includes beautiful beaches, and the Dapeng Peninsula is gaining momentum as one of the country’s best coastal stretches.
The city is serviced by Bao'an International Airport, while Hong Kong International Airport is reachable by public transport. Ferry, bus and railway links to Hong Kong, Macau or Guangzhou are also available. Whether you need a fancy hotel in the business district or express accommodation near the airport, don’t miss the Shenzhen deals on Booking.com!
Shenzhen is a well managed modern city. It is ok even if you don't know a bit of Chinese. No problems in exploring and roaming around. Perfectly safe. Local Chinese people in Shenzhen are very cooperative and mind their own business. Very helpful and chill community. Night life is fantastic. I love to visit again for longer periods.

Shenzhen is a very vibrant city with a relatively young population, with the majority of the population under the age of 30. Nanshan is the high tech area where HQ's of tech firms are located, it is like Silicon Valley on steroids

Good place, much better than 20+ year ago when I used to worked around that area. But some people there quite rude, especially taking the MRT, people never follow rule to let passengers leave the car first. Also too many smoker, you can smell them at every street, every building, every toilet.....

The subway system is huge.
The subway system is huge. You can find subway entrances almost anywhere you go. I carried a subway map and this enabled me to change lines at interconnected stations to get back to my hotel. The subway stations often have shops and eateries. They are so big that you need to be careful which exit you use. You can end up hundreds of meters away from where you want to be. There are many parks that are well kept and shady. The visitor needs to be aware that this city is not centered around Western tourism. If you speak Chinese you will be better able to enjoy all ShenZhen has to offer. The theme parks of "Window of the World" and "Chinese Cultural Village" are huge. You need to walk around them for 4 to 6 hours before nightfall and then stay for the lights. I found the people very friendly and most were willing to help me. They used their phone translator App to assist me. BE SMART, get a SIM card at the port of entry. All shops can only sell SIMs to people with a Chinese address and phone number. The ports have SIMs for tourists. Google translate doesn't work get another translate APP.
Unfortunately , after checking out my plans for my next trip was canceled so I had to rebook same hotel for one more night. I upgraded to a bigger room for comfort but the room they gave me wasn't already used by someone so I asked them to clean the room so I can occupy it. That room was already occupied by someone and the person had just checked out. Instead of them changing the bed spread and the used items, no they used the used items upon complaining, they kicked me out
The hotel is at walking distance from Luohu check point, train station and subway station, however, there are a lot of stairs between them, it will be a challenge if you have a big / heavy suitcase. The staff in the restaurant are very nice even we arrived just half an hour before the service closed. The food in the restaurant is also good but at a high end pricing at Shenzhen standard. The breakfast offers a variety choices but the taste is average.
I initially booked the King room but was upgraded to the Speciality King room with sofa bed and it was amazingly clean and new! I would definitely recommend this hotel and particular that room to anyone going to Shenzhen. I even wanted to stay and live in that room to tell you how clean and comfortable it was!! I will by the way try the other Hyatt hotels countries to compare if they are as good as the one in Shenzhen.
1) The neighbourhood had a relaxed feel, quiet and relaxed for sleeping, even daytime wasn't noisy
2) The rooms are big and budget-friendly.
3) We needed a spare pillow and had to walk all 3 floors down to ask the staff at the reception (no telecom in the room), The pillow arrived in the room in 10 mins.
if you are looking for a budget no-frills hotel, this is a good choice.
The location is great and the staff are very friendly and attentive ! We particularly enjoyed our stay as the hotel offers two options for swimming pools one outdoor and one indoor . Which is great if you are traveling with children like we were . The langham shenzhen lives up to the langham name and is very well operated , the rooms were excellent and again the staff were 10/10
It was a very pleasant stay. The building itself was abit aged. but hotel team did best to keep it in a nice way! staff from health sport center Ms.Jiang was very welcoming all the time, shows the best hospitality. Ms Zhang from breakfast was very helpful as well. I would come again to this hotel when I am in Hongkong or Shenzhen area.
The personal of Hotel was very polite and helped with any questions I had. Special thanks to Jonathan for helping with setting up internet and ordering taxi to Hong Kong.
Excellent location just right in the middle of electronic market HuaQiangBei.
Fine panoramic windows with fantastic view on the city.
MR SHAUN had Excellent Exceptional Customer Service, Fluent English Spoken, Anything You needed he would pre arrange and you find it In Your Room,Anytime iam In China Sentosa is the place top Be, I would definitely recommend Sentosa Taoyuan branch to Anyone visiting Shenzhen, loved it Loved It
Staff of most of the hotels I have stayed in Shenzhen before May 2023 can't speak English and so communication is a big problem. But in Sunshine hotel many staff, be it at reception or restaurant or at room service can speak English.
It is a good clean hotel with courteous and helpful staff.
The Apartment complex is close to Shenzhen’s main rail station, shops and malls are a minutes away from you, either by subway or by walk, restaurants are close by too.
I’ve asked the staff to put the address in mandarin just in case you want to show it to the cab driver. Much easier.
Modern and big hotel, with a very nice room. It was big as well, and confortable in terms of bed and pillow as well. The staff was kind and professional, the location is in a beautiful area of Shenzhen, not so far from the "boat square". There are many restaurants in place as well.
The hotel was absolutely amazing, it exceeded our expectations.
It was a proper quiet oasis in between the busy city. I personally stayed in Shenzhen before (different hotels in different districts) and this was the most quiet and comfortable hotel as per my experience.
Extremely comfy beds - great location next to OCT! Have real coffee in the room and a good selection of TV channels. Overall pretty good rooms and being right above one of the best malls in Shenzhen makes things very convenient. Also right next to the metro!
this hotel is amazing, I love the concrete walls 😃combined with New (inside)and Old(outside) .
So creative but going with the acient architecture …thank you, just love it 😊…
..the wind breezing through the center of building is cozey
The location of this hotel is super awesome and at the heart of Luohu district. Walking distance from Line 1 of Shenzhen metro, King Glory Plaza Mall, and Dongmen. Lots of places to shop and eat around the hotel
Nice view. But there are two buildings and we booked in one building. Then it was offered to pay for the room in another building with good view.
The hotel is ok. Not best.
The staff very went great with me, the manager treated me so well I feel better than home. Excellent treatment. For sure will be my address next visit to China.
