Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.

The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!

Excellent location right in Quepos town, 3 minutes to the Malecon and 6 minutes walk to the bus station. Groceries, banks and many restaurants nearby and the hosts offer dinner and breakfast. Super helpful and welcoming host family and a very homey feel in the accommodation. One of the houses has AC in the bedrooms and the other has it as an option, but we were fine with just the fan in the double room. The (older) kids also loved the ping pong table and the very sweet dog. We all really enjoyed our stay!

Markus was a great host, which is not a given in Costa Rica. The bungalow was clean, the kitchen well equipped, the beds large. I would recommend ordering dinner in addition to breakfast. The whole place is located in the jungle where you can take a great hike to the waterfalls where no one else will disturb you. So you can go for a short trip here or just relax by the pool which is big enough for swimming. One of our best accommodations in Costa Rica and we would love to come back.

Very nice people running this place, Jorge & Pamela. They kindly agreed for me to keep my things in the room post-checkout while I visited the nearby national park, this was very nice as we all know that (some) Costa ricans like to break into rental cars and steal everything :p I also booked this last minute around 5pm and arrived 8-9pm. They were accommodating and responsive to my last minute booking. Nice coffee and fresh fruit for breakfast. AC worked great as well. Thank you :)

The hotel is created in a fun and creative way. From the various decks, to hanging nets, along with the awesome upstairs bedroom/terrace, downstairs pool, and communal kitchen. The layout provides great opportunities to meet other guests and also give privacy when needed. Morning instructive yoga with other guests was amazing. Out of our 4 weeks in Costa Rica, this was our favorite place by far. Esteban and Zack make you feel welcomed and truly at home throughout the stay.

I was one of the first guests at this newly refurbished hotel. Stephan and his team were very helpful at check in with a tour of the beautiful property. The room was large, nicely furnished and clean. The hot tub is spectacular and is a nice community space that allowed me to get to know some of the other guests that weekend. Stephan is a Chef and the breakfast buffet was amazing. He also offered to prepare items that weren't on the buffet upon request.

Breakfast was excellent and very appreciated. The Staff is very kind and warm. The animals, birds and especially the squirrel monkeys were awesome. Although the room and bed were small, it is a very cute hotel and it really grew on us as we were there for 4 nights. Loved the staff, so friendly and helpful. The apartment was comfortable, clean and roomy. We loved the pool, common areas and safe environment. Our favorite part was the location. Close to the bus station, great restaurants, grocery store, and souvenir shops. We used the bus to travel into Manuel Antonio, and walked where we needed to go for food and shopping in Quepos.
