We felt right at home at this fun and unique family hotel. There is so much do to both at the hotel and around the area of Quepos. This place is perfect for travellers wanting a funky, playful, and relaxing experience. Staff helped us arrange for tours to Manuel Antonio park easily. Breakfast in the morning was always amazing and is vegetarian friendly. Hotel also has laundry services! Highly recommend Villas Jaquelina!

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
We had the Tree House Room and even though we are in our 70's and there were 70 steps, it was WELL worth it! Stefan and the rest of the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful! Breakfast was beyond amazing! On arrival, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to hear that Oasis was set up as an LGBTQ+ friendly resort and we really appreciated the "Respect For All" philosophy. Next time we are in Quepos, there is no other place we would consider staying. We are so proud of you!! Keep up the great work!!!
Jan's place was just lovely, and so was she! The flat was comfortable, characterful and private, with a lovely balcony. The shared pool is gorgeous, with a wonderful view. Jan is so generous and interesting, and we loved having a chat. The friendly dogs were fun to cuddle as well. Quepos is a great little place (much better than Manuel Antonio). Make sure you visit the Bon Bonete French patisserie, and the market on Friday and Saturday for great fruit, veg and crafts.
Nice garden and pool.
Shared kitchen look good as well, but I ate often in restaurant what was very good and there was excellent service.
Just some blocks to the beach street and good grozery very near.
Room was OK. The air-condition was necessary cause it was 30C+ whole week. Friger in the room was very nice.
All tours and transfer pick from Quepos so it’s good option for Manuel Antonio.
Loved the staff, so friendly and helpful. The apartment was comfortable, clean and roomy. We loved the pool, common areas and safe environment. Our favorite part was the location. Close to the bus station, great restaurants, grocery store, and souvenir shops. We used the bus to travel into Manuel Antonio, and walked where we needed to go for food and shopping in Quepos.
I really liked the spacious rooms, working AC, the nature trails with garden, location, and most importantly the friendly staff. Overall, it was a pleasant stay away from the busy Manuel Antonio area. La Forresta’s location also offers a convenient access to all major roads and Quepos airport, and only a short drive to the beach areas. We really enjoyed our stay here.
For a family of 5 looking to book a Sunday- Wednesday stay 3-4 weeks in advance near Manuel Antonio during high season, this was about the most budget friendly option and the place did meet our needs. The host was very friendly and helped us with securing a good rate on a late afternoon cruise. Beds were comfortable but with no extra pillows beyond the sleep 6 space.
This apartment is right by Manuel Antonio National Park and a short walk to the beach. Tons of restaurants and grocery stores right there as well. Saw monkeys from the balcony multiple days as well as on the walk to the beach. woke up to the sound of birds and howler monkeys. Gonzalo was super friendly and they cleaned the apartment every other day.
Nayla & Justin are super hosts! They were always available when we needed something, very pleasant, professional & accommodating! The place is very clean, secure, comfortable, quiet, modern, has hot water, A/C, wifi and laundry service available. It was nice to be within walking distance to all amenities in Quepos.
Casa Quepos provided an excellent reprieve for us. The room was air-conditioned, quiet, and very clean and comfortable. They waited until we arrived late in the evening and ensured we had a smooth check-in procedure. We appreciated the delicious breakfast in the morning and the opportunity to practice Spanish!
It was our best place where we stayed during our trip in Costa Rica. The owners were very kind and welcoming. They gave advices, shared kitchen with us even the coffee was prepared. I would definitely stay there again after all. I felt like with my grandparents they were just alike. I thrully recommend it.
We stayed there for 2 times. It’s just one the best view in Costa Rica. If you want to enjoy just take Double room (Vida, Allegria) Staff was really nice. You have a waterfall without people just close to the hotel. But please ask staff how to get there. We saw a big snake and tookans 😂
A really great place. The location is perfect - 5 min from quepos bus station and near everything .
The place is very quiet and safe.
The room was also perfect - very big, clean and with air conditioning.
Also they had hot waters in the shower .
First place in Costa Rica where you have all the detailes set. Hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, tea, cofee, sugar, all kitchen things, king size bed, tours information, everything. Soon AC will be instalted. Realy amazing place.
- really lovely hostel set out by itself in nature
- very comfortable room
- lovely two kitchens with amazing views
- hang out areas are really great. the best we’ve seen in Costa Rica so far!
- very friendly and helpful staff
We loved the views, the decks with awesome rocking chairs, the wonderful staff, toucans and Jesus Christ lizards, authentic traditional Costa Rican meals! Santa Juana was wonderful!
Very nice apartment in a Costa Rican neighbourhood, off the beaten track. Well equipped kitchen, clean house and air-conditioner, comfortable sofa and armchairs
