We felt right at home at this fun and unique family hotel. There is so much do to both at the hotel and around the area of Quepos. This place is perfect for travellers wanting a funky, playful, and relaxing experience. Staff helped us arrange for tours to Manuel Antonio park easily. Breakfast in the morning was always amazing and is vegetarian friendly. Hotel also has laundry services! Highly recommend Villas Jaquelina!

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
It was our best hostel in Costa Rica. Pamela and Jorge are one of the best hosts we have ever experienced. At our arrival, Jorge picked us up at the busterminal and showed us nice spots in quepos + our first sloth. He also helped us to plan our activities. Breakfast is perfect, we had the chose between a traditional (gallo pinto) and a classic one (fruits eggs and toast). All in all - the best, cleanest, nicest hostel we have experienced in CR.

My stay at Buena Vista was wonderful. The location is unbeatable - just steps from the beach and a short walk to the national park. My room had a big balcony with a lovely view of the beach. There are beach chairs with umbrellas and towels for guests to use. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They have servers on the beach so you don't have to stop sunbathing to get food or drinks. Room was nice and comfortable.
La Foresta was a beautiful place to stay! We e saw so much wildlife and loved the trails out back of the hotel. We say monkeys and toucans from our breakfast table! Staff were very friendly and food was delish!!
We stayed in the two bedroom villa and it was wonderful to have the kitchen and small deck area.
they also run a shuttle to the National park and beach throughout the day. This is super convenient!
Pura Vida guesthouse is a great place to stay in Quepos! It is relaxing , clean, and in a quiet neighborhood that also has a lot of wildlife. Jorge and Pamela are so wonderful and go out of their way to help answer any questions. It is a bit far from town and the beach and is easier to get to with a car, but there are also many ways to get around. I thought the great neighborhood was a highlight.
Rey was an amazing host, went down for 5 nights with my wife on our honeymoon and Rey treated us like family. Anything we needed or somewhere to go he was always there to help. If i could rate him and the place more I would. 100% recommend to anyone going to Quepos and going to Casa Federico. Beaches and other sightseeings are minutes away driving or taxi. Everything was convenient!
A great, peaceful retreat for oneself but with an added bonus of plenty of birds (toucans, hummingbirds, euphonias, etc.). If you are a bird enthusiast, I shall highly recommend. Great view of the mountains and sunrise.
Staff were particularly helpful with knowledge of birds but also accomodating to our requests and treated the accomodation as their home (unlike hotel chains).
Arboleda is a delightful "old lady of an hotel ... slightly dated, very well priced and the location is fantastic! Beautiful beach front on the quiet side of the beach with loungers and walking distance to the Manuel Antonio National Park. We enjoyed the hospitality of the family run establishment and the charm of yesteryear ! They also make a great Pina Colada!!
This was a real surprise. Such a great experience. William and his family open the doors and give you the best of Costa Rica. Minutes to everything in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Seconds to the city center. Safe and engaging. Stay with these folks, and a day longer than necessary. If I’m ever passing thru again I would always choose Casa Quepos. They are Pura Vida.
The staff at Mono Azul were lovely and friendly. Nothing was a problem. Paula and Carlos 1 and Carlos 2 were very helpful and good fun. With a bus stop right outside it was easy to get back and forth. I felt very safe here. Great sleep in the comfiest bed so far in Costa Rica ... Chilled atmosphere, pretty restaurant...Pura Vida
It’s a really amazing hostel with a very nice pool and common area to chill in, the kitchen is probably the best of any hostel I’ve been to, very well equipped and spacious and beautiful. Rooms are quite simple, but there’s lockers! Lots of shared bathrooms and staff very helpful. Perfectly situated in Quepos.
It was our best place where we stayed during our trip in Costa Rica. The owners were very kind and welcoming. They gave advices, shared kitchen with us even the coffee was prepared. I would definitely stay there again after all. I felt like with my grandparents they were just alike. I thrully recommend it.
The Gallo Pinto breakfast was especially delicious and highly recommended - as were the lunches and dinners.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay very special.
They were very knowledgeable about Costa Rica, the birds and the wildlife.
Lovely accomodation close to Quepos and Manuel antonio. The price is very reasonable
The pool and gardens are beautiful. The kitchen is well equiped. The host's Mother came to greet us and she was the nicest person we met in costa rica ! Loved our stay here would highly recommend
Fantastic location, great bed, strong A/C, and phenomenal staff. Melanie in reception provided that excellent customer service, recommending several beaches and booking a reservation for dinner. Breakfast on the beach was a bonus! Thank you.
The environment, decor, staff, food, and location were all great. The dinner was one of the best meals we had during our vacation. The property is beautiful and gives you ample opportunity to see wildlife without leaving the hotel.
The host was super nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. the hotel is right across the street from a good seafood restaurant and not far from the little town of Quepos.
Very nice apartment in a Costa Rican neighbourhood, off the beaten track. Well equipped kitchen, clean house and air-conditioner, comfortable sofa and armchairs
