The hotel is located in the center, in a side street, but it is quiet. I walked from the station with my suitcases without any problems. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants around. A very good place to relax without visiting the city. But since Innenstadt is so close, why not visit it? :)

The room was clean and comfortable and I liked having the option for AC as the property is located on a busy street and if you’re a light sleeper like myself, it’s nice having the option to close the windows and turn on AC.

order to-go breakfast because our flight was too early, the front desk confirmed it the night before, and when we were ready to pick up it in the morning nobody knew about it ........ shame on you.

Very nice hotel, the room was very big and comfortable.
The hotel is not in the city centre but it's easy enough to get a tram or a bus to the centre. There is a bus that stops in front of the hotel and from a walking distance there is a great park.
We order room service from the hotel restaurant and the food was really good.

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city center from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.

Munich had a lot of visitors so it was very crowded and there was a LOT of construction going on. Visiting Frauen Kirche was great as well as the Dallmyer store, and best of the all the beer garden by the daily market place close to Marienplatz.
The main purpose of our trip was not to sightsee but to visit friends we have not seen for a long time.
The Botanical garden at Nymphenburg was excellent.
The worst thing about Munich, as well as some other cities is there is too much smoking in public places. If you are allergic to smoke Munich and other big cities in Germany is not the place to go. People smoke on the train platforms and even when standing in line for the bus or tram.

Easy to get around with walking, felt safe.
Easy to get around with walking, felt safe. Public transport also easy to use (once you get the hang of which tickets to buy and how to use them!).
The English Garden is a great place to get away, watch the surfers, and hang out at the beer garden by the Chinese tower.
Also, the Olympic Park, BMW museum, and BMW world are worth a day trip.
Plenty of museums to cater for everyone - I would recommend the NS-Dokumentationszentrum Munchen for its tasteful and honest insight into the history and current aspects of National Socialism and the far right movement in Munich.

Beautiful old city with plenty to see and do.
Beautiful old city with plenty to see and do. We stayed for 2 days and would happily have stayed longer. I was impressed by the architecture and landmarks, and by the high quality of the museums. However, the wide streets, tram tracks, and road works meant that the city centre was not always very navigable. Next time, I will visit during the off-season, as there were many tourists and the weather was quite hot.

great city, buy a transport ticket at the airport, (I use the desk as I can't work out the machines!) and use the u bahn to get everywhere easily. Do research before you go as to what you want to see most; there is a lot! We go frequently,(family there), often eat at Alter Simpl in Turkenstrasse, but lots of choice. We especially like the Lenbachhaus for art. Also the Viktualienmarkt near the Marienplatz is worth a visit for food and Bavarian souvenirs. Most people speak some English.
Nothing I would avoid, always feel safe even quite late in the evening.

Munich is a big modern city with some historical and interesting sights. The top sights like the Frauenkirche, Rathaus, Residence and Englischer Garten are great but much of the rest has been rebuilt many times so dont come expecting cute medieval buildings.
Food and drink is good and reliable especially if you want traditional. Even the busy tourist places like Hofbrauhaus and Augustiner do decent food and good beer without ripping you off. Maybe a euro here and there more expensive but you are paying for atmosphere. The downside of them being so busy is that service can be brusque. Dont take it personally.
Public transport is usually convenient but fails more often than you might expect with little information provided, even in German. On our last two trips the S-Bahn to the airport has let us down.
We enjoy walking around the historic centre but then use Munich as an entry point for the rest of Bayern which is really worth exploring.

The old town is lovely and lively.
The old town is lovely and lively. The outside dining is attractive. It is easy to visit other Bavarian cities and towns by train. I visited Nuremberg, Bamberg and Regensburg by train and all three were beautiful places.
Everything about it. Perfekt location. We took the tram in to town every day. Such a joyable ride. Very much a homefeeling in the lounge. Was just the best experience. I can highly recommend it. If we come back to Munich we will definetely stay at the hotel again. We also attended a familyfestival at the showpalatz which was located north of the hotel. Communications to this place was also so smoth and easy. Love the city and I love the hotel. ( Sorry I didnt take picts from inside the hotel. ) The price was also very good.
It is a very comfortable apartment, spacious enough to have a place to relax. It’s not a hotel, so don’t expect the regular facilities hotels offer but it’s a conviniente automated check in (you get all the information on the day of your arrival explaining how to get in). It’s very modern and clean. Even though the location isn’t exactly the best, I’d still recommend this apartment for a comfortable stay in Munich. Also, once connected wifi was great (it picked up the signal easily once I was close to the building).
Excellent location, close to the main station and to public transport, but also in walking distance from the city centre.
It was the second time that we staid at this hotel and it has improved. The forniture in the room was new, the coloured walls make it nicer.
Breakfast is good, for the price (Munich can be very expensive on this aspect). The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean.
An affordable, nice place to stay in one of the most expensive cities in Germany.
I love creative and carefree vibe of the Glockenbachviertel in Isarvorstad and I love this small boutique style hotel that just a perfect fit for the neighborhood. We had dog with us and it was absolutely hassle free. Rooms are beautiful, bar is the must. And yeah.. best ever pretzels for breakfast. Don’t miss it. Host/bartender is an awesome guy. Overall we had very pleasing experience and well spent night in Munich. Many thnks.
Excellent location for quick and easy access into Munich city center using either the U-Bahn or S-Bahn system! Clean and comfortable rooms with coffee and tea making facilities. Convenient parking on the street (free) or in their secure parking garage (for a reasonable fee). Bakery, supermarket, shops and public transportation just around the corner. We can definitely recommend this hotel!
The location of the hotel was ideal. We booked this hotel as we wished to visit the Christmas Market which was only a short walk away. It was also convenient to visit other places with the city centre.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was cleaned daily.
There was a good choice of food for breakfast.
I can highly recommend this hotel for a city break in Munich.
Location is close to the center near Marienplatz. The suite that we got is a great size and very clean with great amenities. The hotel have a great history as well. The breakfast is delicious and have a variety of choices. The staff are very friendly. If we go back to Munich, we will stay here again! I recommend Hotel Torbrau it does NOT dissapoint! Rob and Connie
We found breakfast to be excellent at this hotel, and the room clean and comfortable.
The location is very good with easy transport links via underground and bus to the city centre and airport. There were always taxis available outside. A quiet spot outside the bustle of the centre, but accessible.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Spacious room, cleaning service every day. Location is fine, though not a walking distance from the city centre and the main tourist attractions. A tram stop is nearby but the ticketing system in Munich is a bit cumbersome. Not the Hotel's fault. I didn't try breakfast in the hotel, so I can't tell much about it.
Although a way from City centre, transport literally over the road meant a €9 ticket allows as much travel as you wish. Straight to the centre in about 15 mins without the hassle / cost of staying in a centre hotel. Modern, clean, air-con and underground parking. Would definitely use again for Munich.
This is the second time I stay in this hotel. The location is key. Other places closer to the city center are expensive. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was delicious, and workers were always courteous. Place was clean. I will definitely consider Art Hotel for my next visit to Munich.
Everything you need and more. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was phenomenal!!! Best yet on our trip and came with hotel room!
Great location! Steps from the S, in the center of the tourist section. Great restaurants too!
A must for Munich. Stay herer!!!!
Great location on the edge of Munich City Centre with a nice walk through the English Garden to reach the centre. Parking is next to the hotel. We had a room looking out over the English Garden which was perfect and very quiet.
this is one of the best hotels in Munich. Price and comfort-wise. Staff was very kind. You have everything you need. Only thing A little bit far away from center but you can use public transportation.
the hotel was very close to the city center and the central train station. the communication with the staff was alright. we stayed in Munich for less than 24h, so there was not much room for error.
Clean, comfortable and affordable according to other prices in Munich. The hotel is a bit far away of the city centre, but there is a bus station right direct in front of the hotel.
Just an ideal hotel near Munich Main Train Station with all necessary facilities: comfy bed, perfect Internet, comfortable desk. Best experience with hotels in Munich ever!
The hotel has a great ambience. Very unique and cozy. It is located very close to Munich Central Station (a walking distance only) and also very close to the city centre.
Smart hotel with modern comfortable room, with Parking option. Located close to Underground station & tram services providing connections into Munich City Centre
