Amazing hotel, location was perfect for Ironman if you're thinking of doing it (only 15 mins walk to transition). Lovely bars (including rooftop!) and very cool aesthetics. Lots of nice restaurants right next door, but also easy to walk in to the centre of the town for loads more.
Room was good and despite a busy road outside you couldn't hear anything when the window was shut. We used the car park which was linked to the hotel so very convenient for us.
Staff were great and always really friendly.
My boyfriend needed to do a work presentation whilst we were away and the wifi was brilliant and he had no problems.
Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location near the train station S1/U3 easy to anywhere you wish to go and many buses stopo ust there. We has a lovely large room with a desk and many large windows that tip open for fresh air. Very quiet in the room despite busy neighborhood. Plenty of space in the closets and a large well -lit bathroom. AC worked great. Breakfast was a huge buffet with something for everyone. When you are busy and jet-lagged this is a big plus. My colleagues staying in the nearby Ibis had many complaints about small rooms and nonworking AC, and train noise, and some of them moved over to the Intercity mid-week.

A city full of emotional associations - history, the war, its remarkable aesthetic recovery, wonderful Hamburgians with a sense of humour, the Elbe Philharmonie to make the whole world of music proud, bravo for the courage to see it through. Great restaurants. The water, the views, the feeling of the great world outside. And memories of the Beatles!

We fit a lot in to 3 days - highlights of our trip were the Chocoversum, using the S-bahn, seeing the Elbetunnel, seeing a local festival and visiting the habour. We were also lucky with the restaurants we went to with some great restaurants just off the harbour that were worth trying out. The city is easy to navigate with excellent public transport but we preferred to walk around as the diversity in buildings was so interesting to look at. One of the main features for us with Hamburg is that it isn't yet overrun with tourists so the local people don't have any tourist fatigue. We were really impressed with how friendly and willing to help local people were - they were a real source of information that helped us understand the city and how it functions better. It doesn't really seem like an obvious tourist destination, but is definitely a city that is worth a visit. The only downside was the weather - it rained for 2 of the 3 days but even that didn't dampen our enthusiasm during our visit.

This is such a great city.
This is such a great city. It was much more beautiful than I expected, easy to get around, lots to see. The harbour area is amazing.
We didn’t have enough time to see much but hired bikes and did a self guided tour.
It did get quite windy at one point!

A great getaway city from Berlin.
Excellent harbour and such a clean and tidy city.
Loved taking the cruise which lasted 90 minutes.
You can probably see the most of the important attraction in one day also.

Hamburg is not just a huge port city.
Hamburg is not just a huge port city. It has some beautiful canals, a lake and magnificent gardens as well as very special historic buildings, many constructed from red clay bricks. The Elbphilharmonie building is spectacular and is free to go up to the plaza level - halfway up the structure - for wonderful views over the city and port. The galleries are top class and the Portuguese quarter had some great restaurants. The SBahn and UBahn trains are easy to navigate and there are numerous boat tours of the port and canals. And I was only there for 2 days!

Hamburg is a beautiful city, enhanced by the friendliest people. We stayed at the Crown Plaza Alster, a picturesque part of town with the most beautiful greenery and flowers. Exploring the city on foot was the best option. It allowed us to see the sights and taste local cuisine and drinks. The Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour was however not worth the price. Be aware that there are various bus lines/routes and your ticket is purchased for a particular route. A visit to the City Hall is a must. Don't forget to go inside. My favourite restaurant was Opitz - excellent food, atmosphere and service. My favourite takeaway was Ali's Gemusekebab in the main mall and for sundowners and a meal, you must visit Anleger 1870.
A gem of a hotel, hidden in a residential neighbourhood in a wealthy part of Hamburg. Wonderful mix of comfortable coziness with contemporary style. Rooms are modern, beautifully styled, with everything you need (even a liquor to welcome you). Amazing restaurant (not cheap though), excellent food and unique atmosphere. You have to eat there while you are staying here. it is a treat and the locals love it!!! And the staff is amazing, super attentive and helpful. It was not my first stay here and it definitely won't be my last. ;-)
This seems to be a family run business therefore the people working there care about the level of service they provide. Everyone was super friendly. The rooms are decently sized and they were renovated not too long ago. Best shower water pressure I had in a very long time. The breakfast was small but very good and whenever we needed something they were very fast in replenish things. Considering that hotels in Hamburg are pricey this is a good option and the prices are very reasonable.
I had a spacious room full of light in a cosy and quiet area. The hotel is only a 6-minute walk to metro and then about ten minutes to Hamburg centre, railway station, most big museums etc. You can also walk to town along the canal, it's a half an hour walk to Alster lake. Nice brekfast/lunch cafe a few minutes from the hotel, Albatros. A supermarket next door. Half an hour walk or a quick taxi to one of the best theatre & music venues in Europe, Kampnagel. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
The friendliest staff in the whole Germany -I know, I travel a lot-, I even got a fresh coffee for the road after checkout. Receptionists were all highly professional and polite, even the "breakfast lady" was very friendly.
Very Clean, fresh, organized...
Make sure to check if you are reserving your room with or without bathroom during booking.
I found it to be a great option, giving the chance to save on hotel room. It was very convenient - even the room without bathroom.
Hotel and service are amazing, breakfast is legendary and most of all delicious and beautifully arranged. Bar is also great to have a nice drink after walking around the beautiful city of Hamburg. In terms of location great access to the subway and if you just want to wonder around it has perfect location a bit hidden from the city centre craziness but at the same tame you walk by and you're there:)
Beautiful historic Bildung with lots of Charme.
Location was absolutely amazing.
Reception staff were super friendly.
We loved the art, small accents, colours and the lighting concept.
Feels almost like a boutique hotel.
Hotel breakfast was yummy.
Lovely room with a nice view. High ceiling, comfortable bed :)
The hotel was perfect located 2 stops behind the central train station. The bus stop was just across the street and with the Hamburg Card you can get around Hamburg very easy and cheap (bus, subway and ferries). Good selection of complimentary drinks in the room (icetea, apple juice, water and coffee).
My son and I wanted somewhere to sleep two nights when we came to Hamburg to visit the Miniatur Wunderland. This Ibis Budget Hotel did the job. It was warm, clean, had comfortable beds and was reasonably priced. Also, the shower was one of the best I have ever experienced in a hotel at any price!
Location for moving around Hamburg was terrific. This boutique hotel just two minutes from the central train station. Breakfast was a terrific value and beautifully presented in a cozy room. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Being so close to the train station, it was surprisingly quiet.
The hotel is extremely clean. In fact it is so usual for all Hamburg 5 star hotels! may be the cleanest hotels in the world! And it always makes pleasure to see how clean it was. Very friendly staff! They made me feel at home. Still for such high prices it is something to be expected.
Very nice and comfortable hotel nearby Hamburg Central Station, with very good breakfast and easy check in and check out. If you plant to stay hear for few days for work and for conference it's the right play to choose this hotel.
Amazing stuff , very very professional I advise everyone to book this hotel . I had zero issues there . Honestly the quality is soo high that any time I visit hamburg will definitely take this hotel .
Good and decent in the South of Hamburg. Close to Bergedorf and easy to get the train to Hamburg City Centre. Very nice breakfast, rooms were good. A good Hotel that has everything you need.
This is like a hotel!! it’s spacious and comfortable, very clean and well-designed. The price is also cheap, if you want to stay in Hamburg for a couple of days, this is it!!!
Accommodation in a hotel with apartments in the centre of Hamburg. Professional approach of the staff. New equipment with noise insulation. Well equipped kitchen.
