I understand why so many northern countries migrates there for vacation. The beaches are splendid, the food is delicious and the Dominicans are very welcoming.
However, as friendly as they are, the vendors and tour operators are quite insistent to a point which I would consider it harassment. Speaking Spanish does go a long way to get some peace or have friendly interaction where they aren't just trying to get you to buy something. I think it has to do with the area because it's surrounded by all inclusive resort where tourists naturally have wealth to book these kind of vacation. Which is sad in my opinion because there is so much to experience from the Dominican culture, but it gets buried by this
constant pressure to purchase goods and services.
The beauty of the landscape and the warmth of the people should be enough to attract visitors, yet the commercialization of tourism often detracts from the authenticity of the experience. Despite these challenges, there are still opportunities to engage with local communities, explore hidden gems, and immerse oneself in the genuine essence of the Dominican Republic. It's just a bit harder around Punta Cana. It's a reminder that while tourism can bring economic prosperity, it should never come at the expense of cultural integrity

Stay was pleasant. Room clean and comfortable.
Stay was pleasant. Room clean and comfortable. Just want to remind all that there is a thief lurking amongst the hotel staff. I carried most of cash with me. Our cash money about four hundred dollars were missing from our wallet kept inside our bag. Only cash was stolen, laptop was not taken. This happened on our last day. He did it very cleverly, we went to the beach around one pm and returned at five pm. Late at night when we were packing we noticed the cash missing. Next day early morning we checked out. The locks to the room is very filmsy.

The resorts are great, and food generally good.
The resorts are great, and food generally good. It would absolutely be possible to spend an entire week onsite and never leave. We chose to do activities one day and the next day hang out, which gave us the perfect amount of doing things and relaxing. All Dominicans we interacted with, whether they spoke my native tongue, English, or not, were helpful, friendly and fun. Be careful when shopping at small independent shops with currency, especially if you are quoted in US dollars and pay in DR pesos, I actually paid more than twice what I was told the item would cost, and was asked for almost 4 times the agreed upon amount. It was my fault for not checking exchange rates on the spot. I, however, feel extremely privileged and do not hold any ill feelings, while deceitful, it may be very helpful to the seller, and didn't hurt me at all. Would love to come back to Punta Cana anytime!

Absolutely beautiful beaches.
Absolutely beautiful beaches. Lovely Caribbean vibe on the beaches, with loungers, music, great fresh juice and fresh fruit cocktails. Outside the beaches it wasn’t our favourite place to visit, but for a beach vacation we definitely recommend it.

I booked a stay in White Sands at Residential Carey from January 1-April 30. The complex and grounds are beautiful Unit C1-2 is nice but it is tired. The pictures are not an accurate reflection of the unit. The curtains are dirty, the furniture is worn, uncomfortable and dirty. The mattresses are horrible. We have been battling termites and roaches. Gregory the care taker has been very attentive however the bug problem is still ongoing. There is no clubhouse and the shuttle is a hit and miss. The driver takes a siesta from 12-2 daily. There is really nothing to do in the area and if you have any mobility issues forget about walking. The local bus service is great. It only costs a $1 and it takes you to Jumbo to get your groceries. One month would have been more than enough here.
I did spend a weekend and at Cap Cana and I can’t say enough about how beautiful that place is. I loved it there. Lots to do and so many great restaurants.
it is well located. just a 4 minute walk to the beach.. the pool onsite was available for lounging and swimming.. free breakfast was provided and was good although limited.. you pick either the american or dominican breakfast. no deviations were allowed.. the evening entertainment at the restaurant was very good with a live band. it is 2 blocks away from the caribe bus stop in bavero.. the name on the hotel does not say hostel punta cana.. the moto guys know where it is.
This was my first holiday in Punta Cana, I was given a beautiful ground floor room, because of a bad leg, near the beach and the pool, thanks to reception team.
They were extremely helpful and kind. As were all the staff in the hotel.
The beach and pool were great, good food with friendly waiters, what more could you want?
I needed a break from a big city, to relax and feel I was being taken care of and I definitely got what I wanted and more !!
Amazing buffet and a la carts restaurants, it didn’t feel like an all inclusive at all, I felt I was at a very expensive restaurant. The staff is super nice and always ready to help out and make sure your stay is the best it can be. Loved the pools and waterpark. Overal the best all inclusive I’ve been to in de Dominican Republic and I’ve been to quite a few. Definitely coming back again!
The Hotel was very nice, our room was clean and comfortable, housekeeping kept out mini fridge stock.
The food was buffet style always, it was good always found something to eat. We only ate and slept at the hotel we didn't go to the beach or the pool, nor the entertainment. We went off the property everyday (7) day seeing the island in its fullest. Dominican Republic ..
We had a layover of 2 nights in the Dominican republic with flight in and out from Punta Cana. Ducassi Hotel was for us a perfect accommodation for our short stay with an excellent value for money.
Very comfortable and clean room. Abundant food for breakfast - I loved the pancakes.
We spent our full day at the beach which can be reached easily by the walking.

it was a pretty good experience.
the Hostel has everything you need, close to the beach, good access to everywhere and good prices.
Also the tours are cheaper with you close it with the .
The best place at Punta Cana to have a real experience, if you are like me and don’t really like to expend all the day in a resort.
Thanks Martin for your Kindness.
The hotel is towards the end of Punta Cana beach, which makes it very quite (you are not squeezed between resorts and a lot of people...). The staff is very kind and the ALL INCLUSIVE package is just great. The hotel can organise day tour at extra cost, highly recommended the Saona Island tour (avoid the submarine part which is pointless ;)
It is good airport hotel, if you arrive to Punta Cana late at night. They also provide a transfer from airport which is good. The room was clean and nice, breakfast was tasty and hearty. If you want to stay 1-2 nights, it is perfect choice. It is also located close to the bus station.
The service is outstanding and the facilities, the resorts is incredibly well maintained, all the areas are operational and the staff do their best to make you feel like royalty.
The food is delicious and they offer variety. It's a 5 star service and hotel for sure

The pool and the staff are great! Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Punta Cana. The food is okay but the excursions and other events are great. The staff Daysi and JB are great. Love them and everyone else are so very nice.
Beautiful scenery with the peacock’s & flamingos. Our room was right on the beach & pretty comfortable. The platinum buffet & the buffet in the very front of the hotel was satisfactory. Servers were nice & accommodating.
We totally enjoyed the hotel and the excursions. And what to say about the meals? Well, it was really good quality. We found a lot of nice places in the Punta Cana but this one surely deserves the number one place.
On the beach with an awesome adult pool and bar. Quiet rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Liked the resorts location, not too far away from downtown Punta Cana if you needed to go into town.
We had an amazing holiday! The best all inclusive hotel, very friendly staff, very clean, so beautiful beach and pool area! Delicious food! Absolutely recommend!!!
