FAQs about hotels in Seville

Hot by Day, Hotter by Night

Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to soaked up.

People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laid-back coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.

The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. At the top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.

But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.

Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

    Seville was beautiful!

Seville was beautiful! Great tapas restaurant but definitely do siesta as Seville sun is no joke around June between 12-5pm. Most business are closed for siesta so do plan around that. Be careful of ordering food as well and be more aggressive on saying no to something you are not sure of! We somehow got pressured into ordering more food at riconchillo restaurant doubling up every plate we ordered which turned out to be too much for 4 adults for just lunch and ended up paying 200+ euros which is highly expensive for just lunch! Besides that we love Casablanca as place was awesome and very honest in suggestions and right portion for the family! We love Miguel at Puerta principe who helped us tons on food recommendations to taxi transfers! Our trip was smoothly with very minimal hiccups. El pinton was also another great restaurant! Do plan on comfortable shoes and clothes as it’s very hot in June and lots of walking!

Seville is a fantastic place for sightseeing.

Seville is a fantastic place for sightseeing. It has literally everything - culture, food, architectural delights juxtaposed between Roman, Moorish and Christian building styles, narrow streets full of artisan shops, restaurants. Choose where you eat - more authentic establishments tend to be a short walk from the main sites. Food is so varied with the tapas restaurants, you can eat something different every day. We were amazed by all the different things you can go and see in the very unspoilt centre of Seville. The market in Triana is about 20 minutes walk across the river from the main sites but it is a lovely walk which adds to the experience. Flamenco dancing is great to watch and it's really worth going to a good show. Buses are plentiful, you don't need a car and if you do have a car, parking is expensive. My whole family have agreed they would happily go back to Seville. We hired a car for a couple of days to go south into Andalucia's towns and villages and it was definitely worth it. Seville and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. I would definitely recommend it as a place to visit for a week or so.

So many things to see in Seville.

So many things to see in Seville. We did a walking tour of the old town in the evening of our arrival which gave us a good lay of the tourist area. Google/Apple Maps is very helpful when navigating through the maze of streets. If you use the bike share program you can cover a lot of ground for just a few Euros. We were most comfortable on the bike paths and stayed away from riding on the roads.

Book your trip to the Alcazar before you even leave your country, as queuing is extremely long. Visit Italica, Seville isn't vegan or vegetarian friendly however we found Arte y Sabor which was great, just check opening times. So just do drinks and flamenco show only.

A beautiful building. The room was bright and large, and not overly decorated. It felt very clean. The bed was very comfortable with clean, soft sheets. The bathroom was clean, the shower was good. The coffee in the room was great, and the breakfast was a nice touch, especially the fresh orange juice. The reception staff was very personable. It was the perfect place for a family of 3 to stay. We traveled to 5 cities in southern Spain and this was the best hotel. It felt the closest to being at home.

Fantastic location - it was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The rooftop terrace in our apartment was sunny and warm. We really enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the people walking below. It seemed the people in Spain loved to sing and we would laugh as they serenaded the city. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the showers worked well. Our hosts were also very quick to communicate and easy to speak to in English which was helpful to us.

I didn’t receive the code or apartment number in time, a stranger called the phone number I had as the roaming I had on my phone would not work in Spain! A stranger used her phone and spoke Spanish to someone who gave the number of the apartment, when we got there the cleaner who was running late let us leave out bags and told us the key code to the box for when we returned.
