Fabulous stay, the proprietors were warm and welcoming. Gave great tips of things to see in the area and a little further out. The pub was a haven after a busy day touring about. The restaurant was excellent and interesting to cook your own protein. There was a gas bar a block away and a fish & chip shop that was doing a very brisk business.

Beautiful views over the water. Wonderful views from the room. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. You can walk to some really neat cliff walks and even get down to the shore by going through the cliff hotel next-door. Breakfast was delicious!
This renowned hotel features one of the most breathtaking views and marine locations in Wales, overlooking Cardigan Bay, the rugged coastline, the Teifi Estuary and the broad sweep of Poppit Sands.

Hotel is in a beautiful location, the most comfortable beds! A really fabulous night's sleep. Gorgeous walks down to the beach and around the caves. The spa was lovely and every member of staff around the hotel was super friendly, helpful, polite.... just really good people! A special shout out to Elaina on reception. We hadn't planned on staying at this hotel, we stumbled across it whilst camping and I'm so glad we did. I will definitely come back for a planned, longer visit in the Summer.
My only criticism would be breakfast, while the hot selection is really good, the fruit and pastry's were poor quality and it showed, they were really un-appetising. But that is a minor, on the whole fabulous stay and will be back.
Set in Cardigan, Cardigan Castle offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a restaurant, a bar and barbecue facilities. A TV and DVD player are available in some units.

My family and I spent a few days here recently and we loved it. The whole place was lovely. The owners were so helpful and really nice. There was a gorgeous outdoor heated swimming pool and a hot tub outside our accommodation. My family spent a great afternoon playing the huge outdoor chess game and the kids loved the play area. The beds were really comfortable and the place was so clean. It felt so luxurious and we were sorry to have had only booked a short stay here. We will be back and would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

Cardigan has shops selling locally made arts and crafts. It also has a wonderful Italian restaurant called Mannuccis which had a fantastic gluten free menu. There are plenty of beautiful locations to visit nearby to Cardigan

Cardigan Castle disappointing, not much to see, may be of more interest to somebody wanting historical facts. To me a waste of time and money. Castle virtually non existent.
Cardigan is a town that time has forgotten! For that it is pleasantly quaint. Nice cafes.
Probably better on a fine day!

Quite a quaint town during the day but at night it does come alive especially the pubs.
A really lovely range of shops and food places.
A visit to the castle is a must.
The best places are often the ones reccomended by locals.
2 days just wasn't enough for me, as just a little further out was glorious bays, beaches and mountains but more spectacular was the waterfalls

Went for a few walks on the coastal pathways which had breathtaking views. Cardigan was 10 minutes away by car. Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Crwst. This is a must for anyone visiting the area.
Great pasta lunch at Berlotti's. A fairly good variety of shops in Cardigan.
We also visited Theatre Mwldan during our stay to watch the latest Poirot film.

Not a great deal in the town and much is shut early in the week including restaurants and bars but there are some gems. The Copper Pot serves excellent food and the welcome at the Black Lion Hotel could not be warmer.

Travelling through South Wales so only stayed one night but would return and recommend.
Hotel is exceptionally beautiful, what a treat to find this place. Our room was stunning and I could have lived in the spacious bathroom! The bed was so comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. The view amazing, overlooking the gardens. Beautifully prepared breakfast and locally sourced food in the dining room listening to relaxing music. A perfect base to visit Cardigan and some of the amazing beaches which are unspoiled.
This was one of the best hospitality experiences we've ever had! The staff are the heart of Albion, each of them helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and friendly - always willing to chat, give recommendations, and connect. The breakfast was delicious, the restaurant on-site is amazing (though only open on the weekends), and the bar/coffee is well-stocked and wonderful. The hotel itself is thoughtfully designed with quality products with an incredible location in the city and in Wales overall.
The Hotel is exceptional- Very nicely decorated, comfortable and in a great location with stunning views of the estuary and headland opposite - there is also a great cliff edge walk. The staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. There was a slight problem and the staff member of reception was top notch and got it sorted within minutes. Breakfast is exceptional - good quality produce, lots of choice and ample portions. Cannot recommend the hotel enough- 5 stars
Exceptional property located up a quiet lane ,perfect for any size party as there are a few houses of different sizes ours was for two people . Very well equipped comfortable house .Plenty of local beautiful beeches a short drive away as well as Cardigan a lovely town with supermarkets on the edge . A real bonus is the rare breed animals below our balcony outside seating area .Friendly owner who I feel sure would resolve any issues ,we had none .
There were only three rooms occupied however the other two were nextdoor both ways to my room. One room had their tv on loud till 2am and we're slamming heavy fire doors at 7am with the tv back on. Very thin walls and creaky floorboards and could hear other guests bathrooms and showers. Would have liked the reception manned later, than 7.30pm, although the two staff lived on site to ring for assistance. Good location for visiting areas we wanted.
This is an individual style of property, literally a stone's throw away from the town centre and with easy access to public parking nearby (also limited property owned parking). It has a great historical feel whilst being equipped to a very high standard. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the garden area and our own boutique style private seating area.
The location of the hotel is fantastic and if you are lucky enough to get a table in the dining room overlooking the bay it's beautiful, the food was good and portion sizes generous and if you book early have the use of the spa facilities and also at an extra cost spa treatments but booking is essential. We enjoyed our stay so much we've booked again later in the year.
Good location central to the Town and a good base to visit the area. Car park accessed via gated entrance was narrow so care needed. Accommodation was within Castle grounds in annexe to main building. Room was large with en-suite just as large, overlooking Castle garden. Breakfast in Castle cafe, friendly staff with views to river or castle grounds.
Breakfast was good quality food. The view from dining room is over the bay and would be the envy of many hotels.
We had dinner on two evenings, with good choices on the menu. The standard double room was adequate, and the bed comfortable. The large shower was a lovely surprise.
Cheap hotel in a nice area, so at the price it was you can't really complain. The room was a good size and had all the facilities we needed. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Cardigan is a lovely little town with lots of independent shops and cafes.
Quick check-in and friendly staff, good location of the hotel, nice breakfast (also considerate of gluten-free wishes), nice to have a bar as part of the place :) generally recommended if you want to experience a classic 'Inn'.
What a lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Very nice gardens. Lovely and friendly host couldn't do enough for us.
The host gave great recommendations for nearby restaurants and things to do and see in the area.
Location was excellent, just the top of town, were able to park across the street.
Breakfast was filling and there was a good choice of options.
Host was welcoming and friendly.
