Our room was superb. We were upgraded to room 10, the Honeymoon Suite, which was a lovely surprise and very nice, cosy, clean and big. King size bed, huge flatscreen TV, lovely sofa and ottoman. Fresh fruit. Packed with facilities. The bar has an outstanding range of beers, wines and spirits, set in a cosy atmosphere. Beer garden has undercover cosy bench seating with cushions. Dinner menu is extensive and delicious as was the full breakfast.
Special thanks to Claire who made us feel very welcome and attentive, greeted with a big smile 😊

In order to be close to our friend's house, this is the only choice we had. The building was dated several hundred years ago, second time for us to stay at this place, bar and restaurant have been remodeled during the Pandemic. Bar seemed always busy, especially during weekends with live music bands, Guinness extra cold was so foamy and smooth, foods specially fish and chips tasted great.

We were staying in St Helens only to miss out on congestion/lack of parking in Liverpool. Took local bus to train station, thereafter train return St Helens to Liverpool. Journey simple and inexpensive.

Polite and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean.
Polite and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. The perfect requirements for me. Breakfast was lovely we opted for continental but fry up was optional.
Swimming available if required.
The beds where not to my liking due to spine surgery but my granddaughter was happy. The price was fair.
Would recommend this as a good place to stay.

Hotel is a real gem - perfect location - bus to St.
Hotel is a real gem - perfect location - bus to St. Helens from almost outside the venue. First class facilities - great staff - good size single rooms (I stayed in both of them over a two week period) great ensuite facilities - great all round - perfect choice - so much better (and much cheaper) than the Mercure Hotel in St. Helens.
Stayed here for work so only sightseeing was in Liverpool on the Saturday following my checking out.

Really comfy bed, room was expected from pictures added bonus having a bath. Enjoyed visiting the Toby for dinner and breakfast - didn't realise this was there so nice to be able to walk there and not have to drive further out. Friendly staff and helpful - would definitely stay if in this area again. We had 2 rooms, double and twin - rooms - both looking a little tired but didn't affect our stay.

I would like to say that as someone who stayed at this hotel...
I would like to say that as someone who stayed at this hotel because it was close to the hospital where I was undergoing surgery I was not happy about the COVID-19 regulations being enforced in the public areas despite a hand out being given to all guests. Only once did I hear a receptionist inform a new guest about the wearing of masks in the public areas.
I overheard police staying in the hotel discussing the virus and saying it was just a hoax as did the task driver/ not wearing a mask who transported me to the hospital.
I would not recommended anyone staying in this hotel if no-one is taking this very seriously at all.
I certainly would not stay there.
This is such an amazing place to stay, staff were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for you..Room perfect had windows that open, also bathroom had a window that opened!!! Which is so unusual in hotels today..Shower huge..towels changed every day!..Cleanliness first class..I will definitely be staying there again..
Everything was just perfect.. Highly recommend this Beautiful Hotel ...5*.....
Just down the road from the Rugby ground a 10 minute walk so leave your car at the hotel parking lot.Or take a £5 taxi ride.
A bar and food station are located in the hotel reception but food only until around 8.30 pm the bar stays open much later.
A very modern looking hotel just a little over priced on event days being the only hotel in Town.
Breakfast is served 7-11am which is ideal and is excellent. We had an upgraded room. Spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bed clean and comfortable. We had evening meal which was delicious and perfect service. Staff attentive and professional. Rose wine one of the best I've had. Love this hotel.
The property is a little 'tired' but it is clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Chris and the young guy on reception were excellent hosts and couldn't be more accommodating, even when the hotel was exceptionally busy over a bank holiday weekend.
Room spacious, clean, well fitted, v comfortable bed.
Very good dinner, service was spot on . Sharer starter and steaks well cooked and delivered promptly even though large Rotary group also in hotel at same time.
Would use again.
Location was great but we did not have breakfast there as we joined a group of friends in town for breakfast as not everyone was in the same hotel as us, if we stayed again we would have our breakfast there
All good but particular liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Food excellent and we enjoyed the fact that the dishes were not the same as we are used to in other hotels.
Really nice comfortable property with good access to main surrounding areas and motorway to Liverpool. Check in was easy and the property had everything you need .
