Non working shower, never enough hot water to fill a bath, really difficult to find staff, clean but tired, fire alarm went off for no reason in the middle of the night, doors don't block out noise and was woken by someone else unlocking their door every couple of hours through the night

We arrived at 16:00 to find a note from Alex asking us to WhatsApp him when we arrived, which we did. He said there was a problem with our room and it has no electricity or hot water. On entering the room, not only was there neither of the necessaties mentioned above but also the room was freezing cold, it was warmer outside! The employee working there was very unhelpful and we decided in the end we couldn’t stay in these conditions

Creepy, dirty, smelly, damp and disgusting.

Creepy, dirty, smelly, damp and disgusting. No WiFi as the bill hadn’t been paid by the owner, this hotel was not looked after. Damp carpets, walls and ceilings, the hotel had a vile smell. Flies everywhere, we even seen fleas on the spare bed in our room. The bath took 50 mins to fill up half way (not enough pressure for a shower) there was no tv in our room. No heating in the hotel at all, it was freezing cold we had to sleep in hoody’s. We asked for a refund within 5 minutes of arriving to which the owner abruptly said no!!

The room was warm and cosy even through the weather at the weekend was atrocious, housekeeper Debbie was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel didn't provide meals but across the road was a lovely pub which served good food and a big choice. The imposing hotel just needs a bit of TLC.

we stayed in the area as we had a family party held nearby. Rangeworthy was the perfect place for a visit to this part of Bristol. It is quiet and secluded yet close to the city and motorways. The house is an unspoilt piece of history. Loved it.
