Toby Carvery Old Windsor by Innkeeper's Collection, hotel in Windsor

Located just 10 minutes’ drive from Royal Windsor, Toby Carvery Old Windsor by Innkeeper's Collection features free private parking and an on-site carvery pub.

Easy check in, perfect location for Windsor, bus outside the front door a bonus. Plenty of parking, comfortable rooms with coffee facilities and a good size TV. Breakfast started at 8am which was perfect for us. Son enjoyed a good, well priced breakfast, we were heading in to Windsor for the KIngs Scouts Parade in the Castle, the food gave him a good start to the day. We didn't eat. Check out also went well and the staff were all friendly.

The Royal Adelaide Hotel, hotel in Windsor

Welcome to The Royal Adelaide, an independent family owned boutique hotel in Windsor.

The hotel was only a 8/ 10 min walk from the castle and only 2 mins from 'The Long Walk'( then on towards castle.) Yet the road was not horribly busy or noisy, and was in a very attractive residential area. The small cosy room was indeed cosy and perfectly suited for one , but the bed against the wall would have been very tight for a couple. The bed was fantastically comfortable. Lots of hot water, lovely White Company shower gel etc. Lovely range of teas, coffee. I was a little disappointed there was no robe just because it is a luxury but I understand it is unsustainable environmentally and not exactly vital. The restaurant was very attractive, jewel colours, fancy wall paper. We only had breakfast which was varied and nicely presented although the service was a little erratic- someone absent mindlessly plonked toast in front of us yet didn't take cooked order for ages- then got it wrong again, not the end of the world but it wasn't very professional. On the whole the service was good but not exceptional.

Windsor is very attractive, beautiful buildings, the castle is fabulous and ever present as you go about the city. We went early in the season( April) and the as the castle isn't open to visitors tues/wed the town / riverside etc was very quiet which was lovely. We were leaving thurs afternoon and visited the castle first thing , we had booked our tickets online which we were very pleased of because of the queues. It was fantastic walking around the staterooms and grounds of the castle- extraordinarily beautiful and very interesting and quite moving to have access to st George's chapel. Suddenly the streets were heaving with people and school parties. There are lots of places to eat - mostly chains, but we found an excellent greek restaurant by the river. We also went on a river cruise which was very pretty and interesting. Everything was very close by. I think 2 days was perfectly adequate time see all windsor has to offer. The station was right slap bang in the middle of town and even the riverside station was only a ten min walk from town centre. Every where is beautifully kept and clean.

You don’t need much time in Windsor as the only main attraction is the castle. We did lots of walking around the town and went in the castle. On our second day we struggled to find something else to do. But I would recommend the duck tour ! Excellent service and hospitality. Very educational and a great hour out.

Windsor is a lovely town, easy to navigate around , has 2 railway stations with easy access to London. Ideal place to stay if going to Twickenham for the Rugby. Lots of shops, pubs and restaurants to cater for all tastes. A must see is of course St George’s Chapel and Windsor Castle, beautiful walks within the grounds and the Long Walk. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday you are given a real treat of seeing the parade of changing of the guard a fabulous spectacle.

We had a day at legoland and a morning at Windsor Castle. We ate out in Windsor both nights and enjoyed the restaurants we visited. There was plenty of choice. We could have had another couple of days and explored more.

Windsor is such a lovely town.

Windsor is such a lovely town. Even though it seems crowned with tourists during day time but evening and dinner time was quite calm up. We went in Febuary so the sun set so fast people tend to stay in the hotel. we had Nando's chicken which is really good. The Macdonal hotel we were staying located in great location, nice staff, and nice accomodation. There are many more places to visit not just the Windsor Castle. This town has many more to offer. If you love historical but with city vibes. Windsor is a good choice.

The hotel did not serve breakfast but recommended some places in Windsor. The room was good and clean. It was located at the other end of town but it took only 10-15 minutes to get to where the Castle is. Quite a lot of shops, pubs and cafes to choose from. There is a Chinese call 1623 (or something like that) which was amazing. The hotel is actually a pub - and is a very friendly one. The guy let me sample some of the beers and I enjoyed a pint in there before heading off to look around.

The location was great and was so easy to communicate with Jeremy. The amenities in the house were amazing and the heated floors were great for a cozy Christmas. We have been going to Windsor for many years from US to visit my parents and family and this was the best accommodation so far really enjoyable. Having Parking at the house was a real benefit.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was good with easy access to Windsor. Better off paying for an Uber than the extortionate parking prices in town. The gardens were lovely and it has a nice terrace area where we enjoyed a night cap. A shame we didn’t get to try their wood fired oven pizzas.

The food was really good at the Carvery. A generous complimentary breakfast and dinner the night before was very reasonable. The bus to Windsor old town/castle was right outside the hotel and very convenient. We'd like to give a special shut out to Tina, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and went beyond her duties to help us out!

Wanted somewhere to stay in Windsor with a friend and our 5 year olds - didn’t want to be split up in hotel rooms. Flat was perfect for the kids to spend time together and a great location for Legoland and Windsor Castle. Really clean and quiet. Host was very responsive to messages. We had a lovely break.
