Very pleasant and helpful owners who went out of their way to help. Unbelievable continental breakfast, you'll never eat all of it!
Beachcombers Hotel is a boutique hotel next to the Royal Jersey Golf Course and Bay of Grouville, and a few minutes' walk from the beach. There is a bus stop directly outside the property.
Originally built in 1843, the elegant Château La Chaire is truly one of the islands' finest country house hotels, with a superb fine-dining restaurant boasting AA Red Star and Rosette awards.

Chateau la chaire was a great stay. Our room was enormous and very clean and comfortable. We even had a little private terrace with sun loungers off our room. Food was great and the staff were very helpful

It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.
It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.
But there's not much to do. But there are plenty buses to get round.
The few restaurants are expensive with not a lot of variety to choose from. Head into town if you want decent food, not cheap either but at least you have a choice!

Too busy, Too noisy traffic, people wise overpriced pub meals at restaurant prices, and a lack of things to do. Have to keep relying, paying out for buses in order to explore areas, and have somewhere to go, things of interest to do.

Hotel was as described.
Hotel was as described. No air con in rooms was awkward as temperatures that week were 38C every day. A fan was provided but we took our own too which was just as well. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the beach front road outside as we had to have the window open wide each night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were OK but a little repetitive although you could ask for options not on the menu. Parking was an issue some evenings due to number of large workmen's vans taking up the spaces.
We arrived late, but check-in was still smooth. All the staff in the hotel were courteous and very helpful, with always a cheery greeting. The breakfasts were excellent, with plenty of choice. The hotel was really clean despite the odd bits of scaffolding that is needed to complete the repairs after storm Ciaran. We had a hire car and the car park at the rear has plenty of space. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious with large comfy beds. The hotel is also on a main bus route, with buses every 15 minutes to St Helier and Gorey.
The location and views of the hotel are as good as it gets if you are after a peaceful stay with amazing sea views. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to check out the pool due to the Great British weather. There is a lovely pub close by.
A shout-out to the lovely man at the reception who helped us arrange a taxi for an early-morning flight. Notably, this wasn't as easy as it sounds as there are fewer taxis on the island than you would expect.
B&B-style hotel (no breakfast) on a quiet street. Restaurant nearby and close to the shore. Take bus 1 or 1a (different stop, but a block past the roundabout) after the tunnel from downtown. I walked back to the bus station / main square on the way back to pick up the airport bus. Comfortable budget accommodation, and courteous front desk staff with enough brochures to assist the tourist as well. I would book again.
We had a balcony room with a sea view including breakfast. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast menu was extensive. The staff were friendly and helpful. The heated outdoor pool, which I used twice was very warm and clean. We ate dinner at the hotel for two nights and whilst the dinner menu was not extensive, it was different every day and included at least four choices of main course.
The hotel is in a quiet corner of the island directly opposite a slipway down to a beach. My room was spotlessly clean when I got back each day. Breakfasts each morning were consistently excellent. Food arrived promptly and staff were unfailingly polite and attentive. I dined at the hotel one evening and that meal was also excellent. I would happily stay again.
Lovely friendly family run small hotel. Paula is a charming and makes you very welcome Nice sized room with comfortable beds. The Breakfast is great with fruit juice choice of cereals full English toast and preserves and tea and coffee plus in a great location 2 mins from seafront and 15 mins from Town centre
Excellent choice of continental, cooked, plus food like kippers or ham and cheese. Bus stops right opposite hotel - goes into town every 15 minutes. Manager, Aurelio, carried our cases to room for us. No lift - have to use stairs. Room a very good size with sea view
Great Breakfasts . Bedroom was excellent and the Staff were very helpful at all times . We would probably return to this Hotel next time we visit Jersey , which was a beautiful island with public Transport System as good as anywhere in the world.
Rooms very clean and spacious. Good to see bath and shower. Great choice at breakfast. Food tasty and cooked very well.
View over the pool okay. Staff in hotel vey helpful and friendly. Nice dining room and bar area.
