Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful.
This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue, cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel.
It is however in a stunning location.

This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisure

Lovely little village.
Lovely little village.
A few good places to eat out, even for coeliacs.
Co-op grocery store and some very nice little gift shops.
Visitor centre was very interesting.
Great location for visiting Kielder Observatory, Kielder Water, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts, Hadrian's Wall and Hexham - 30 mins from them all by car.
Everyone I met in the village and surrounding area was very helpful and friendly too.

Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above...
Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above the weight of its size - being the obvious local focus for a wide rural area. It is well provided for in terms of shops (including specialist butcher, bakers etc.) and plenty for tourists. It has multiple pubs, a couple of which (the Cheviot and Riverdale Hall) I can recommend from personal experience. Local beers were on hand pump and of high standard. The walking (particularly the Pennine Way) is of an excellent and picturesque quality.
If I could give this b and b 11/10 I would, but ten is the highest I can award. I can't praise this property enough! Great room, fab shower, jacuzzi bath and with TV in the bathroom. Pure luxury hi
The breakfast was filling, cooked and presented very well, and we had the Wednesday night specials of steak and chips for two at a very reasonable cost.
The whole experience is more like a friendly hotel, including the standard of food.
Thank you for an amazing stay. Couldn't fault it x
Amazing, serene location, beautiful views, peace and quiet. The hut was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Host very friendly and helpful. Extra bonus for my son was to feed two lovely donkeys and a horse. Close to Bellingham (approx. 3 miles) for food (caffes and restaurants) and small grocery shopping. Fantastic waterfall near by (from Bellingham). Will definietly come back to recharge batteries.
Cozy and comfy accommodation, hosted with love and care, felt like a home. Well-equipped kitchen. Bellingham is pretty small but the accommodation was right next to the stores and two pubs, as well as to the start of the beautiful Hareshaw Linn Walk to a waterfall. Contact with the hostess was quick and easy. It was an hour's drive to Alnwick and half an hour's drive to some great Hadrian's Wall walks.
Great location and nice and cosy cottage. Bellingham is a lovely little county town. A very nice touch to see that a bag of logs had been left for the wood burner which did a great job of heating the place. Kitchen facilities were more than adequate. We were all very impressed as to what we got for our budget.
The staff were lovely and attentive, the room was comfortable and clean, great shower. The location is fab, right in the centre of Bellingham, with a few pubs nearby and a little shop across the road. We also ate in the cafe on the Saturday night and the food was really nice for the price. Breakfast was also great.
Quiet, peaceful location but within walking distance of Bellingham. Well equipped lovely comfortable and cosy cottage. Good powerful shower, nice big bath towels and enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. Weather was great and managed to sit out in the front garden
Beautiful quiet location with views towards the river, across the cricket pitch. Friendly, helpful and obviously local staff who provided useful advice about walks in the vicinity. Not many hotels with their own swimming pools - a real bonus.
Accommodation was clean and comfortable with lovely views and Bellingham is a gorgeous village. Loved the lodges interesting history and used the kitchen for our Chinese takeaway. Accommodated our bikes and late arrival.
This accommodation is finished to a high standard. Excellent use of the space makes it perfect for two people. It’s in an ideal location in the centre of Bellingham. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.
Bellingham is such a charming village. It was absolutely beautiful. The B&B and cafe were very tidy. The food was delicious. There are lovely hikes to go on as well.
