Location is totally unique, you will only find local farmers and local people. It's culturally intact- very English. Everyone we met were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for a complete get away from everyone, walking is amazing if you want it. Winter is very cold up there, though beautiful.

I cant say i had to pay then got mixed up about travel but theywere ok answeted email because some reason google maps gave a 7 hour journey opposed to 1 hour previously .need to get taxi after while but i usually like to walk .i was so looking forward to country sidelk swimming pool.

breakfast was simple but excellent. freshly home cooked, and we could choose different things. view was amazing. you look out over a little lake, and a pasture with sheep and horses. perfect location to visit woodlands and/or Hadrian Wall. Very good price!!!

The Hollybush Inn is a very good place to stay. It’s in beautiful countryside with stunning views. Comfortable room and the pub is great. Delicious food and a lovely breakfast. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Great!

It’s a perfect base for a walking holiday set in stunning...

It’s a perfect base for a walking holiday set in stunning scenery with lots of scope for exploring and sky watching. Bird of prey centre nearby at Kielder is worth a visit. Will return to spot red squirrels. First time staying in the area and wish we’d had longer.

This is a beautiful countryside location and a great base for the many, many attractions across Northumberland. We have stayed in this area multiple times over the last 12 years while visiting Northumberland

This rural hamlet within the Northumberland National Park is...

This rural hamlet within the Northumberland National Park is the ideal place to recharge and get closer to nature. The nearest village, Bellingham, is only a scenic five-minute drive away and offers a supermarket, bakers, butchers and several places to eat. Walkers can easily reach the heart of Greenhaugh (2.4 miles) where an old inn provides good beer and hot and cold food. Kielder water and forest is an easy 12 minute drive away and provides activities for all tastes and ages. If that isn't enough, it is a 20 minute drive to the Scottish border and to Hadrian's Wall.
