Bed was incredibly comfortable though the room is showing some signs of wear and tear (broken fixtures, small stains on the rug, etc.) though nothing major. The hotel has a buffet with a huge spread and everything we had was wonderful. It was a little pricey but it came in handy for mornings we had activities planned and needed to get something to eat early. A ton of strip clubs across the street which was odd, though never felt unsafe. Staff was INCREDIBLE. From valet to servers to front desk to the spa. Truly everyone we interacted with was very kind and helpful.

This is my second visit to Greece from the U.S., and once again, The Royal Olympic has exceeded my expectations. The staff is incredibly polite and attentive, making me feel well cared for each time. The location was excellent. It was within walking distance to all the major archeological attractions and main square. It was within walking distance from the metro. This made it very easy to get to from the airport. The rooms were spotless and well equipped with toiletries. Breakfast was provided daily with a variety of choices. The staff was very helpful with all questions. They assisted us with getting a cab to the port for our cruise. The area is urban with many eateries . My party was exceptionally pleased. We would return and recommend to others.

With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history while embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you'll find tavernas serving tantalizing souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.
A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds of the city center.
The changing of the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here, Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The upscale districts Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.
Athens has some of the finest museums in the world, such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.
Athens is a city everyone should experience at least once.
Athens is a city everyone should experience at least once. Obviously the history within the city is the main attraction. The city is vast, getting around is easy enough by tram and bus and very cheap. There are hundreds of restaurants, eating out isn't a problem. Athens coastline is just a tram ride from its city centre and it's well worth getting there, it's beautiful! I recommend autumn as an ideal time to visit as it's still hot but not the seering heat of summer!

Airconditioning could only be used in a heating cycle - no cooling. When the windows were opened to cool the room the street noise was horrendous. The street noise continued until about 3 - 4 am each night.
The room was okay and had a good shower.

Athens is an amazing city full of history and culture.
Athens is an amazing city full of history and culture. You must visit this city once in your life time to be awed by the magnificence of the structures and civilization that was here so long ago. The people are a proud nation and rightly so the dawn of democracy was here. You can tell I am passionate about this city. I have visited five times now and every time it takes my breath away.

My first hotel I checked into was awful so despite paying 4 nights in advance I left there and found the Ciel suits which was amazing . The archaeological museum and acropolis were great to see. However it was very dirty, service everywhereI went to eat was 0 stars. Lots of homelessness and begging was sad to see. I helped a couple avoid being pickpocketed in Plaka. 4 youths had been following them . So I followed them and they quickly realised I was aware of what they were planning to do. I alerted the couple who quickly left. This was lunch time and plenty of people nearby. The other thing is the men here were rude and disrespectful. The amount of stating and comments was disgusting despite the fact that I was completely covered up. I left Athens early .

We really enjoyed Athens and it's history.
We really enjoyed Athens and it's history. We walked everywhere we wanted to go from our accommodation. We found people to be very nice and friendly. Service at the restaurants we went to was great as was the food. Athens is quite tidy for a big busy city and we never felt unsafe.

Good transport, friendly folk, good restaurant choice and enjoyable market atmosphere in amongst old structures. Pavements are a bit wobbly underfoot. Take a fold up walking stick if a little immobile.
Hop on bus tours are a good way to see the city but the Acropolis was heaving with coaches and vehicles, so we stayed onboard.
Metro transport was excellent with plenty of English signage for those of us who are Greek Language illiterate. I couldn't even attempt to pronounce Greek words but it was good fun trying.
Airport to Athens city metro is great value but make sure it is the blueline metro you use not the main railway. Get a ticket at the barrier ticket machines, select your language and endorse the ticket at the barrier. Download a metro tube map and track your progress station by station as there was a lot of blank cell coverage along the route.. Try and sit near your luggage as the metro gets very busy as you approach the city and you lose site of your bags.
One thing I did not know was the requirement not to flush toilet paper down the toilets, city wide .....but bin it instead.
I Didn't like that !!!! so be aware.

Perfect location. Walking distance to all popular attractions in Athens. Monastaraki square, Plaka district, Ermou Street, Syntagma square... All very close. It is very close to the metro and bus to reach the airport very easily. The attention and communication of the staff is excellent. They have an excellent employee named Chryssa. The room is very large and spacious. It is very clean and has everything you need. Modern and perfectly decorated. We stayed in the comfort of a five-star hotel.
Paidon is everything it advertised. And a perfect place to stay as my end-of-trip accommodation. I was able to do simple cooking, launder all my dirty clothing and, of course, see more of Athens and Greece. It is only a 5-minute walk to the bus stop where I caught the X95 express bus to the airport. And the boss was very professional, polite and pleasant in handling my requests.
Staff were so helful
Room was nice
Modern refurbed hotel
Close to Metro at Ominia. About 20mns on metro to National football stadium as we were there for Ireland v Greece.
Street area was a bit scruffy but no different to most of Athens city centre. Secure in the sense that the Police staion is next door.
Dislikes are hopefully constructive and would use this hotel again
A warm and friendly, English speaking staff, clean, quiet hotel…excellent location (for going into Athens or traveling on to central & northern Greece.) Walking distance to a nice supermarket, 15 min walk to many restaurants. Very nice patio/porch seating for coffee or cocktails, in a garden space.
Super modern like a brand new hotel. The breakfast was amazing. Huge selection of local, Greek, international food variations to have a little test of Athens and Greece. the staff was very nice, always ready to ask questions.
