Big, comfortable bed, quiet surroundings, and a great location close to the center (within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the port). The reception staff were very friendly. Esmeralda was truly kind and very helpful. The hotel is modern and newly furnished.

Hotel Rene was very clean and comfortable. The balcony on our room had an amazing ocean view. We enjoyed the pool and lounge chairs. The property is close enough to town to walk to dinner and for shopping but far enough away to be quietly peaceful.

Pick up and drop off at the airport was an excellent perk, much needed because of the elevated location. No view to speak of from my room, but just a short trip up the stairs was the rooftop were there were comfortable chairs and tables and an excellent view of the harbor.

We picked the hotel at random, but was it a lucky choice! The staff, from reception to waiters, to maintenance, were brilliant! Devoted, helpful, smiling and friendly. Location was just perfect! Only 10 minutes away from all the buzz and fun, yet quite and relaxing from it all. Always a parking space available. Last but not least, their kitchen is better than most of the tavernas downtown! And there are dozens and dozens of great options all over the island! Thank you!!

    Skiathos is a beautiful island with stunning beaches and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We loved exploring the Old Town and spending time at Koukounaries Beach. The local tavernas were fantastic, and getting around the island was easy. Our hotel hosts were exceptional – warm, welcoming, and always helpful. Highly recommended for a memorable family vacation!

    Skiathos town is beautiful.. lots of places to eat and drink, lots of shops.. we stayed near the harbor.. brilliant bus service which takes you all up the coast.. we visited many beaches.. great seeing the planes come in! Will definitely be back

    Great, returning 31 years later a little busier however wished we had been back again. Loved it, the atmosphere, something for everyone and great bars and restaurants. Happy friendly locals and not expensive good food and great choices.

    Skiathos town is absolutely stunning - lots of beautiful...

    Skiathos town is absolutely stunning - lots of beautiful restaurants to chose from - you’re spoilt for choice. We went on a perfect all inclusive sailing cruise with lunch - boat name is Nireas which can be found in the new port - we booked the trip through GetYourGuide beforehand- it was the highlight of our holiday ! Also recommend booking the mamma Mia trip through Poseidon ( old port ) no extra cost for the mamma Mia chapel - we were out for nearly 10 hrs . The ferry is expensive for a trip to skolopes ( £186 for a family x4 for 4 1/2 hrs ) better going on a boat trip.

    Comfortable island of the right size.

    Comfortable island of the right size. Variety of beaches, options to each local specialties, quality souvenirs, views, options to hike and bike. Local bus was perfect way of transport. Water in household taps was not aimed for drinking, had salty taste. Good for brushing teeth, boiling sausages. Not poisoned or unhealthy, just not aimed for daily drinking. Water for drinking was in public accessible "wells", pure water from hills, just be careful and double-confirm with locals. Not good for children, old and weak persons. Minus is too much gas combustion scooters, quads and cars, only little electric, while so sunny climate. Minus is also no cash-refund for plastic bottles and aluminium cans. At least these had separate trash bins.

    If you are a cat lover you will, like us, be very happy at this hotel. The owner Foffi is a big fan of cats but has a constant battle to keep the cats outside in the courtyard as they sneak in behind unsuspecting guests. We had a spectacular view across Skiathos Town and harbour from our room with our own large private balcony. The only downside was hefting our luggage up the wrought iron spiral staircase from the floor below but once we had sorted that we really had a sense of complete privacy in our own little world.

    Lovely small hotel in beautiful location. Our room had balcony overlooking the sea, and as the hotel is on waters edge views are stunning. Room was comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. Concierge was both friendly and helpful making our stay perfect. Hotel is located at the end of the old harbour area, and is therefore close to all that Skiathos town has to offer.

    Good value hotel in the heart of Skiathos town, Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was good, a/c worked well, staff were friendly and helpful. Only stayed for a night prior to catching the ferry to Skopelos, but would happily stay for longer. Rate included breakfast which is taken at small restaurant opposite. Excellent value for money.

    A nice hotel, located just outside Skiathos town, with lovely views and a swimming pool. The staff were delightful and couldn't do enough to help during our stay. It was a ten minute walk down to the main road with frequent buses to the beaches along the island and several nice tavernas for an evening meal.

    Lovely little hotel right in the heart of Skiathos town. Bonus of having a pool. The hosts were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
