The staff and facilities here were great. I loved the location and the fact that it's a family owned/operated spot. Of the 3 places I stayed at in Guatamala this was my favorite and I would absolutely book a stay here again. Additionally they supported me in getting a shuttle out of Pana for the airport the day I left and without them setting me up with the right logistics I would've missed my flight. I looked into booking through a nearby hostel and not only was it far more expensive but in reading reviews their shuttles take 2-3 hours longer with the stops they take.

Main Street Santander is not ideal, you listen to reggaeton music in many places which is terrible and so disgusting. There are many little restaurants where you can eat for a fair price. The lake view is great but the surroundings are not very nice, the place is not tourist ready, you might go to other little towns like San Pedro, Santa Cruz or San Juan

Like with many places (or even more than most places) depending on your choices Panajachel can be fabulous, beautiful, exhausting, authentic, spiritual, commercial and ……Read about it as much as you can before you go. Endless options here for all kinds of traveler. I found it to be very interesting and would love to be able to come back some day.

Panajachel is paradise. The weather is beautiful.
Panajachel is paradise. The weather is beautiful. Lots of sun, but not too hot most of the time. Lots of great restaurants. There are a lot of markets stalls around with local goods, like hand woven textiles. The lake itself is amazing. Panajachel has access to something for everyone. San Juan for artists, San Pedro for a nice night life, San Antonio for pottery, San Marcos for yoga retreats, etc. All of the towns are just a lancha (ferry) ride away. Be careful during the rainy season, because in the afternoons you can get soaked

This is a very clean and safe place to stay.
This is a very clean and safe place to stay. I felt very safe being out during the day and at night also. It is easy to get a tuk tuk to take you where you want to go. There are plenty of places to eat with a variety of menu choices. Most menus have vegetarian options. I have never had a problem with finding great food and the prices are very reasonable.
If you want to explore the other villages on the lake, it is easy to take a public boat and go anywhere.

This town is so much fun.
This town is so much fun. Definitely has a tourist trap vibe but the activities here are so much fun. We did an ATV tour to see the sunset. We had a blast! The views were breathtaking. There was some road work that cut our planned tour short but the guild we had was amazing and did what he could to make it a full and worth while experience. Simoon tours was who we went with. Yesua was our guild, though I could be butchering his name, sorry if I am. He was amazing! I would absolutely do other tours they offer, especially if he was the guild again. So much fun!
A lovely place with superfriendly staff. The breakfast is superb. The rooms are spacious and nice and good working shower. Everything is perfect except for the nightclub nearby that even when there is almlost no people in it, is soo loud that we didnt sleep that well. And not only in the weekend but every day until 5 am
,It really sucks for the hotel because its such a nice and peaceful place. We don't really get some of the guatemalans and their blasting music...
Without a doubt, this place is an oasis amidst the chaos of Panajachel. While there may be other options near the lake, the hot springs at Regis are truly worth staying for. The staff members were incredibly kind, always providing accurate information and offering support when needed. The hotel boasts a spacious backyard where the hot spring pools are nestled among ancient trees, frequented by birds and squirrels.
The staff were very helpful. They booked our car back to Guatemala City and it helped make our trip so much easier. It was also very easy to get into town as they would call a tuk-tuk for you. The view from the hotel far surpassed any expectations we had. The photos do not do it justice. The property is outstanding. I couldn't image staying anywhere else on the lake.
Santa Caterina is a wonderful place to stay if you like being away from the crowds in panajachel. We had a fab view from our room looking directly at the lake and volcano. The property has beautiful gardens and the pool and jacuzzi are first class. The staff are wonderful and they have an amazing restaurant with great food. Highly recommend this hotel.
This location is amazing. I really enjoyed staring at the view, and I really loved the onsite coffee shop. Also the bakery cart right at the hotel was lovely. Was easy to book a shuttle to Guatamala city straight from the office. Boat lauch to head to other locations around the lake are walking distance from the hotel.
Good opportunity to stay with and support a Guatemalan family. Basic room, so adjust expectations accordingly. David is very helpful. Quiet location, but also a bit difficult to find (by taxi/tuktuk drivers) since there are no signs, so make sure you make proper arrangements with David before arrival.
Peaceful, clean, manicured, safe hotel with very professional staff. For us perfect location. For 5 Q you can take a collectivo, which is fun, into Panajachel. Great thermal pool, games room, good breakfast and restaurant. Great views of the lake and the volcanoes from our room.
We got a double room and it was so clean and pretty and the bed was comfortable. There were clean floor and bath towels and everything worked well. The hotel had great facilities, cheap shuttles in and out of Atitlan and the breakfast was tasty.
This was a great place to stay in Panajachel, very close to the ferry and easy to walk to restaurants. Francisco at the front desk is the best part of this hotel! He was so kind and willing to help with anything we needed.
When we got there the front office guy was sleeping lol the attendants were helpful.
Best part is the proximity to Calle Santander, lake Atitlan is a few blocks down, the breakfast is delicious.
I have stayed here several times and I am always impressed by the great customer service, perfect location and comfortable rooms. It is the perfect base or stopover for Lake Atitlan villages.
As pov from a local (Guatemalan) this is mostly a good place talking about location and what you get for the amount you are paying. A great place to get some rest after visited Lake area.
The room was simple but had everything we needed. The breakfast was the traditional Guatemalan breakfast: eggs, black beans, cheese, bread, plantains, and some fruits with coffee.
The hotel is located in a very nice spot in Panajachel. The pool area is lovely and the room has a good size. The food is lovely, I had dinner and it was nice, breakfast too.
