A big surprise is the Museum of Broken Relationships.
A big surprise is the Museum of Broken Relationships. It offers something to everyone. Thought provoking, funny, unexpected, things people keep. Another surprise is Mimara Museum in Lower Town. It holds a private art collection bequeathed to the city and housed in a Renaissance building.Impressive!
Walk the Green Horseshoe-7 connected squares and parks and some magnificent buildings including Zagreb Train Station where the Orient Express used to stop. The opulent buildings are lit up at night. Notice the old street lights still lit at dusk.

We love the old town.
We love the old town. It was a great contrast to the Dalmatian coast which we also visited on this trip. It is interesting to see the Austrian/Hungarian influence. I was disappointed that we could not get in the cathedral due to repairs still going on from the 2020 earthquake. We felt safe even though we were warned of pickpockets. Zagreb after dark was delightful

It’s capital of Croatia but unfortunately too many building are in very bad condition. A lot of gravity in the centre on renovated buildings, so looks like locals do not care about the city. City has a lot of history and beatiful buildings but it looks depressing.

I was there for Zagreb marathon.
I was there for Zagreb marathon.
I found locals very rude and unfriendly.
Marathon volunteers (officials) were behaving like you are in their way and not willing to assist, local bakery saleslady was not interested is serving baked products, at bus station (flix bus) counter lady was playing with her phone and not interested giving me bus ticket and didn't even acknowledge me until I asked 3 times for help.
If you say good day or thank you don't expect to be greeted back and "thank you" doesn't exist in their vocabulary.
Only experience of friendliness was at Speeka accommodation.
Beautiful city but locals are just something special (in negative way).
Never again

Small boutique hotel about 10 mins drive from main railway station. Slick check in. We took 2 x Grand Luxury King Rooms; 103 and 104. Room 1003 was slightly larger than the other. Quality boutique feel, split mirrored main wall, silver grey tones, mini bar etc large walk in shower, all very clean. We had to leave at 6:15am to catch a train but they had prepared breakfast packs for us which were welcomed. Courteous staff. Great value for money. We would stay here again.
Beautiful new hotel in a lovely peaceful neighbourhood. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean, the entire hotel looks amazing and it’s tastefully decorated. The best part of our stay was also definitely the staff. They are really kind and breakfast is lovely. There is a sauna but we haven’t used it and they have a terrace at the back with a view of Zagreb. If you want a boutique hotel experience and a peaceful stay, this is it.
Amazing location and only 10 minute walk from the city center where you could grab lunch, breakfast, sightsee and walk around experiencing the culture there. The room for value was superb and had one of the most comfortable beds i have slept at in hotels in general. Very clean, wonderful staff and amazing service when needed. The Esplanade Bar is a must visit with some of the best cocktails i've had in croatia.
Great hotel in the city centre. Very close to the main square, tram stations and the main railway station. Good room size, nice spacious bathroom. Staff is more than amazing, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with some traditional Croatian food.
