Loved Kastela, especially the promenade walks. Lots of good dining options at reasonable prices. It feels relaxed and neither dumpy or too fancy, just right for a seaside escape. Good for families as the promenade is wide for walkers, cyclists, dog walkers and prams. There are a few disabled ramps into the ocean too. Close to Split airport and easy on the bus route. An excellent base for exploring the seven villages that form one historic town, full of cultural landmarks. The proximity to Split and its monuments is a great advantage, while those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere will love Trogir with its charming old town.
