We absolutely loved our stay at the Tirena hotel. Breakfast was lovely, we were able to use the facilities in the neighbouring sister hotel and the room was beautiful and clean. Staff were all so friendly and helpful, the spa of the sister hotel was modern and relaxing and location was perfect. We loved being just outside of Dubrovnik to be able to also relax on our holiday. Direct bus outside of the hotel which takes you to the center of old town in 15min or you could get a quick uber for 6-8 euros.

Dubrovnik is an ideal location just for itself but also as a base to explore neighboring Montenegro and Bosnia. The city is beautiful with it's historic sites and cobbled alleyways. Good lodging(Apartment Ana) and restaurants( The Arsenal) abound. Do the City Walls tour and wander to find the Buza bars. There will be crowds in summer but just take a deep breath and with patience it's enjoyable.

Lovely clean city. Facilities for visitors were excellent.
Lovely clean city. Facilities for visitors were excellent. Some lovely excursions and activities.. a walking tour is a must and also we did a sunset boat trip which was amazing. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful everywhere we went. Nice food....pricy in the old town but good quality and worth the money because of ambiance etc.
In May 2024, when we were there, it was very busy but not mobbed and the weather was perfect. Tour guides described June, July and August as crazy because of the heat, the crowds and the passengers from the cruise ships which overwhelm the city. Dubrovnik has a population of about 42,000 people and more than 3 million visitors . However there are great efforts being made to maintain Dubrovnik as a 'place' and not a 'product'. I'd highly recommend a visit in the low season.
Be warned....lots of steps in the old town.....I counted 130 to get from the road down to the old town main street. So bionic knees are a must!!!!

I loved going into Old Town - make sure you walk around the wall! Be warned - food and souvenirs are not that cheap, so plan accordingly. Buza Beach is also popular, as is doing a cruise. Lokrum island is popular. You can get ice-cream for 2.50 euros, so don’t get conned into spending more than that.

Dubrovnik has been on my bucketlist for 2 decades, and it did not disappoint. I'm glad I visited in early June - it was already quite busy - I can't imagine how crowded it gets in July & August. I highly recommend staying in the Old Town, if that's what you're coming for. It was nice to have a quiet retreat, and to be able to enjoy the quieter early morning time.
Milo was the absolute best! From the ease of arranging the airport transportation to a wonderful greeting of a cool beverage, Milo was like family in an instant! The location to Old Town and the City walls was perfect for me. I could get there in a short walk. I loved and appreciated the hospitality and wonderful conversations during breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful and such a wide variety to choose from. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy! When I come back to Dubrovnik, I will be contacting Milo!
This place is just amazing! Pristine clean, cozy, with all the amenities you could possibly imagine, the furniture is brand new, bed is spacious and extremely comfortable, there is a big, beautiful terrace with great view of the surrounding hills.
The place is located within 10 minute drive from the main entrance to the Old Town.
Host is great, responds immediately and is very kind!
I think, this is best value/price place you could find in Dubrovnik, im booking this again next time!
Highly recommended!
I really love this part of Dubrovnik. The hotel complex offers you a kind of isolation from the hustle and bustle of the old town. I love the large reception area, lovely and modern rooms with soft carpets and lovely bathrooms. I like the excellent food they serve for regular meals. I like restaurants by the sea and interestingly used rocks that have been turned into a beach. I love the smell of flowers that you can smell while walking on the promenade. We are happy to return to the Royal.
One of the best small hotels I've ever been to: Magnificent sea views, great location (walking distance to Dubrovnik Old Town; above Bellvue Beach), superb food, free wine/water/ev charging and some sweets in the evening, incredibly friendly & helpful staff (they even prepared a list of great restaurant options outside the hotel - well, we didn't need it, but still nice!), very attentive on children's needs. Just a perfect experience. Thanks for that wonderful time.
The hotel is a converted grand villa / palace from the 16th century.
It has been painstakingly restored to a high standard retaining many original features, the interior has a classic modernist twist.
It features beautiful gardens, and outdoor pool and hot tub with uninterrupted views of the Adriatic coast.
Rooms are spacious and well appointed.
Breakfast was enjoyable with lots of options so long as you like eggs.
The old town of Dubrovnik is only a 15 minute walk.
Excellent hotel with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea - not cheap but felt 5 star. Staff couldn’t do enough for you, facilities were top spec, breakfast was great and varied. Food at the restaurants on site was great, and although the wine was quite expensive, food was roughly the same as other similar restaurants nearby. Dubrovnik is just quite expensive for meals out (£20/25 a main) so is relative.
Exceptional hotel with everything on offer. The views of the ocean were outstanding, with special views of the sunset every night. Lots of pool areas to choose from with plenty of sunbeds available every day. The location was perfect with a short stroll into town with great choice of bars and restaurants. Also there is a bus nearby to transport you into the Old Town of Dubrovnik which is a must see
This boutique hotel is a true gem!!! We had a balcony overlooking the sea! They provided parking, it was an easy walk to the old town and city walls of Dubrovnik, and the food was AMAZING! The room was large, the bed comfortable, every detail was considered, AND…the bathroom had a soaking tub!!
location, location, location! If it’s your first time visiting Dubrovnik — this is the best place to situate yourself as the studio is located centrally within Old Town. everything is conveniently located within close walking proximity! and the Old Town is very safe even late at night.
It is excellent hotel. I had birthday and they gave me birthday cake on breakfast. It was cute. Also I visited casino in the hotel and was alone there))) Perfect view on the sea from the balcony, all clean, helpful stuff. I like that hotel more than others 5 stars hotels in Dubrovnik.
The Byron is a lovely hotel in a great location in the old town of Dubrovnik. The rooms were very spacious and decorated beautifully. The staff was great and extremely helpful. There was no breakfast at the hotel, but we ate at a fantastic restaurant nearby.
The hotel made our stay. We stayed an extra three nights so that we could enjoy Dubrovnik. The swimming pool and sea access provided much needed relaxation. Old town was about a six minute walk away. The hotel and staff were excellent.
Being inside of old town Dubrovnik, within the city walls, the location of the hotel is hands down the best feature. It allows for early morning walks within the city before the mad cruise line rush and for those late nights out.
parking on site with elevator
supermarket downstairs
brand new apartments (fully equipped)
luxury zone in Dubrovnik
coffee and bakery downstairs
bus stop in front to go to old town
friendly staff , Tanja the best !!!
Very cute little hotel. Staff very informative about Dubrovnik. Second time to Dubrovnik but first time staying in the old town, it was amazing to be in the centre very close to all the old town has to offer.
Great location 10mn walk from the old town. Quiet residential safe neighborhood. Free parking. Best view of the old town of Dubrovnik from the large balcony. Spacious room with kitchenette. Great owners.
Prijeko Palace was an absolute pleasure to stay at. This hotel is unique, charming, and friendly and in a perfect location for exploring Old Town Dubrovnik.
