Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green spaces of any European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College houses the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
As one of the youngest European cities, Dublin has vibrant nightlife with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.
Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish vacation, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, an independent apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.
Dublin is still Dublin. The mix of Irish culture, music, people who welcome you like old friends, and the city's architecture and history are fascinating and addictive.
The weather is obviously the downside if you are not used to and ready to handle the sudden changes between rain and sun, wind and low temperatures. But nothing that a pint or two of excellent Irish beer won't fix, at least in the soul.

The cost of hotel for service recieved. you would do well to look at the Farnham Arms Hotel in Cavan a much more rounded experience of welcome and value. If you fail to see the difference then your not trying hard enough. A welcome is always accompanied with a smile a breakfast also. Kind words and a genuine interest in your customer is all part of the experience. My family are from Ireland so a part of me is in Ireland my comments are hopefully to make the experience of this beautiful Country a pleasant one for all visitors.Chris.

Beautiful, lively city with a great choice of cultural attractions (we went to the National Gallery of Ireland and a concert at the NCH. Both wonderful.) Plenty of pubs cafes and restaurants enhanced our experience of the city. We also enjoyed the park, Trinity College and generally walking around. Hoping to return.

To be honest, I was quiet disapointed.
To be honest, I was quiet disapointed. Crowded centre full of tourists, junkies, homeless and immigrants. Palestine flag on every corner. I didn't feel safe in the evening, not even in the side streets. We lived in the centre, so we didn't need any public transport (traffic jam every afternoon). Nice parks (St Stephens Green) and museums. Great pubs with kind local staff.
The staff at Staycity were fantastic. Very friendly and professional. Alex was so helpful! The location is perfect for a stay in Dublin. It is within walking distance of everything you would want to see and visit. Our room was nice and provided all the amenities seen in the photographs. I was very impressed with the black out shade. Coming from America we are use to it getting dark earlier than it did while we were in Ireland. The shade kept the light out very well so we could get a good night's sleep.
The room was very clean and decorated nice. Check in and check out easy. Unfortunately the night desk clerk on duty was very rude to my son and ruined our last night in Ireland and wouldn’t chance staying at this hotel again. I would think that staying in a 4 star hotel staff would treat their guests kind and helpful, but this was not the case with this night clerk. Very unfortunate and very disappointed that my last night in Ireland with my kids ended like this.
The location is absolutely perfect, close to Temple Bar and the City Centre. The hotel is classic looking inside, the room was a triple with 3 single beds and a large bathroom. Plenty of space for us. The huge bonus is the bar downstairs as it was one of the nicest we went to in Dublin and on the Sunday night we stayed they had live music which was fantastic. Overall a perfect place to stay for us and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Lovely hotel near the city centre. Rooms are clean and spacious and special praise goes to the friendly and accommodating staff, we arrived a bit earlier than planned and they let us in our room for an early check in.
Practically everywhere can be reached on foot from the hotel and public transport passes not far from the hotel. We had a lovely weekend in the hotel and if we come back to Dublin, we will surely stay here again.
Staff members were terrific! My husband, granddaughter and I from USA were on our second day in Ireland when I fell and broke my hip, requiring surgery and days in the hospital, and all kinds of adjustments and special needs. Your staff was extraordinarily helpful. Thank you!
Also, the location was wonderful for touring Dublin on foot and by public transportation. Good restaurants in the area as well.
Room was fine, located outside of the crowds of downtown Dublin. Grab the hop on bus near Merrion square that’s a short walk away or grab a taxi to take you there. Pauli’s is a great ecclectic Italian restaurant that’s much more than pizza nearby as is the cute breakfast spot a few minutes by foot. Visit the Brazen Head, touted as Ireland’s oldest pub. It’s not walkable but it has lots of atmosphere.
Clean modern comfortable hotel, quite corporate focused as opposed to family orientated. We stayed here before going to the Aviva for an Ireland match and found it a convenient location 15 min walk from stadium and about the same to the city Centre. The Luas is close by on Mayor Street which is also a bonus.
Good breakfast, with plenty variety, staff helpful and friendly.
The room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. The facilities were excellent, the TV was a good size and nice to have a coffee maker. The location was excellent with shops and cafes around and the city centre within easy reach. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The price was reasonable for a fairly central hotel in Dublin.
The staff was amazing and very welcoming. They gave us great suggestions for breakfast places nearby and were always ready to help out. The hotel is very close to a major shopping area and a 10 minute walk from Connolly Train Station which is helpful if you want to take public transit to other parts of Ireland. We walked everywhere in Dublin and it was great.
Lovely modern hotel within a 25-minute walk to UCD. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Upper front rooms may also provide seaview views. Overall a good varied buffet breakfast is also provided.
Dublin Bus bus stop (to/from city centre, approx 30 minute trip) as well as Aircoach bus stop (to/from airport, approx 40 min trip) just outside hotel. Recommended.
•Location for walking around Dublin is great!
•The river view is awesome!
•As a final night in Ireland before flying home, it is a fantastic location that makes getting to the airport easy.
•The staff is so friendly & helpful every time we come.
•The bed is very comfortable with two types of pillow options.
The hotels location was outstanding. Walking distance to all the major sites, great places to eat and many wonderful places to hear wonderful music and make great memories. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. It was the very best way to finish our 3 week stay in Ireland.
This is the second stay in the Hotel from Myself & my wife. The location is great in Dublin City Centre and very close to bars restaurants and tourist attractions. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are very comfortable. There's a good selection of hot food for breakfast or cerals
Clean modern hotel at an affordable price in Dublin City centre, just steps away from the red Luas line. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful. Stylish hotel which is good value. A rare gem. Will definitely be back.
A great location close to bars and restaurants in Dublin City centre. The place is modern, great value and offers large rooms that are well equipped with all that you need for a comfortable stay. Nothing to dislike about the hotel, at all.
Stayed for a night in Dublin, decided upon this hotel as it was close to the city centre which is extremely handy. The room was an appropriate size with ensuite shower and shower wash . Very reasonably priced, highly recommend!
Location was ideal as its a short walk from city centre.
Bus stop for Dublin Express bus to the airport is a 5 min walk from hotel.Tickets cost 8 euros pp online, 10 if buying on the bus
The location was fantastic and the hotel is charming. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. By far, our favourite hotel to date in Ireland.
