Very clean. Everything in working order. Adequate breakfast by Italian standards. Staff friendly and helpful. Typical old world Italian hotel. Just a bit of a snag getting a cab Sun AM despite having enquired the night before & reconfirmed that AM. Not hotel’s fault but something to consider for a weekend morning departure. Probably an anomaly.

An artistic gem, Padua (or Padova in Italian) seamlessly combines awe-inspiring heritage and a modern vibe. Counting Galileo among its former tutors, the University has the world’s oldest UNESCO World Heritage-listed botanical garden.
Across the road is huge Prato della Valle, a green square with a canal lined by 78 statues, and home to a Saturday market. A market is also held in squares near to Palazzo della Ragione whose multilevel arches and vaulted wood ceiling are an impressive sight. Cobbled, portico streets lead to the finely-crafted Gran Loggia and clock tower.
Every church has incredible décor, but the most famous is Saint Anthony of Padua, featuring the bones of the saint, an impressive 7 cupolas and 4 cloisters. The square in front has a statue by Donatello. Padua Cathedral's simple exterior houses amazing frescoes inside the baptistery by Giotto, creator of the jewel in Padua’s crown – the Scrovegni Chapel. His 14th century frescoes there have been meticulously restored to be as vibrant as the day they were painted.
The closest airport is Venice Marco Polo, but before you head there from your Padua hotel, apartment or B&B take time to enjoy the narrow streets around Palazzo del Bò or the Jewish district.
Definitely - must visit!
So many museums, nice old places, fountains, rustic elements in each restaurant, beautiful squares and bridges
Nice traditional food and wines, especially sweet delis
We will come back for sure!

When in Padua use the tram.
When in Padua use the tram. It runs north/south right through the center of town. Cheap, get an Urbs Picta card, and easy to get to all the sights - Scrovengi at one end and St. Anthony's at the other. The Scrovengi Chapel is a must see, but you must make reservations in advance. It is almost impossible to get same day tickets. Use their website or call the number - sometimes the Urbs Picta card will also get you chapel admission, but call them as sometimes it does not.

Beautiful city with plenty of culture and architectural landmarks. I would recommend it for anyone coming to Venice for its distance and relative affordability in comparison with the most tourist city of Veneto.

Padova is a fabulous city for people who like history, art, architecture, and culture. It is easy to move around the city on foot, and the city bus service is cheap, frequent, reliable and comfortable for places further out. The large student population makes for a very vibrant atmosphere, as do the outdoor markets in the piazzas.
The Scrovegni Chapel and Basilica of St Anthony are outstanding places to visit, but if you have time, tour the University. It is an inspiring experience to stand where giants of science, medicine and philosophy developed the ideas that shaped the world. Here you can see the lectern from which Galileo taught mathematics, and the world's first anatomy and dissection theatre, as well as lecture halls where the walls are covered with plaques commemorating famous alumni.

I came for the History and Art and was not disappointed.
Recommend University Tour, Scrovegni Chapel, and the Basilica of St Anthony. Baptistery of the Duomo was just incredible. Renaissance architecture of the city is stunning.
Enjoyed the small bars for Aperitivo
I will stay for a longer period next time
Even if it's a standard hotel, we were pleased by the amability of the staff, the quality of the cocktails and breakfast, the beds were HUGE and comfortable, the room was modern and very clean and the parking lot was sufficiently spacious for a fully booked hotel.
But the biggest surprise was the checkout time, which was at noon (12 PM) - generally, in Italy, you are expected to vacate the room at 10 AM, which is very early and it puts pressure on you.
We stayed in the hotel for a night, the staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean and spacious, shower was good and we had a great night sleep with the AC! Nice views.
Breakfast was basic but good (after all, we eat so much in Italy on lunch and dinner... so it's better taking it easy on breakfast 😅). There is parking, so you can leave the car and walk to the city center. (€71 per night via booking - booked around 5-6 months in advance)
We stayed at Albergo Junior for two nights on our return from Southern Italy. We came with our own car and parking was not a problem. Albergo Junior is conveniently located to explore the major highlights of the city by foot or bus. The owner is friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and convenient, the breakfast was o.k. The atmosphere in the hotel is very personal. We can recommend Albergo Junior for a stay to explore Padua.
My husband and I stayed for a couple of days at CANTON DELL ORTO and had a great stay at their premisses. The hotel was super clean and comfortable. Facilities are recently refurbished.
The place is located very close to bus and tram stations as well as just a 20 min walk from the main Padova bus, railways station.
We really enjoyed our stay at Canton dell Orto and will be back once in Padova again.
Although somehow outdated (as most comments report) it is very clean which to me is the most important thing when I search for hotels to stay .
The stuff is friendly.
It is only 5 minutes walk from the train station which makes it very easy if you plan to discover the nearby towns , but it takes more time to walk to the centre of Padova.
Good value for money.
We in fact were transferred to the sister hotel down the road hotel Volta which was great. Quiet neighborhood 10 minutes from Padova centre. The receptionist Emma was brilliant. She gave excellent advice and directions and made us feel very welcome. A dear little hotel which perfectly met our needs.
An amazing room for a short stay in Padova. The room was clean and had a modern style. The heater worked, so we didn't freeze in this cold autumn. Near the hotel, we found some cafes with delicious food. Additionally, just a few steps from the hotel are situated Padova's main attractions.
The room was lovely and comfortable, breakfast was great, and it was an easy walk to explore all the places in Padua I was hoping to see. Irene & Tommaso were helpful and responsive, and I had a great conversation with Irene about exploring Italy. All in all, a pleasure to be there!
The Casa Giotto is not a hotel, but it is as good as if not better than the best hotels. Ideally located, it is an excellent base from which to explore Padova. It is also very comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast vouchers in local cafes are good value.
Staff was so supportive and communicative. I was late in check-in. They supported me sharing video and instructions how to get into hotel and room. Food was included with my booking. Place was beautiful and location was good too. I am happy to stay here.
The hotel was in a very nice area just across from the magnificent basilica, as well as a short walk from the town centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was comfortable and well air conditioned. For the price, it was excellent value.
Close to the station. Very clean. Well heated. Ok as a parking place for one night at a lower cost considering the night rates of other hotels nearby. Staff were kind, helpful and spoke good English.
