I really enjoyed my stay in Rome. The sights were so beautiful and I could feel the history, culture and charm. I am catholic and after visiting Rome, I was more proud to be catholic. There is too much to see on one visit; and too many people of all nations. The colosseum is a disappointing experience; people walking around with phones and cameras; blocking the views. Its a 'honey which button do I press' experience. The forum is a ruin and you have to use your imagination. On a hot day the best feature is the drinking fountain in the shade of a tree - just sit a while and look around. I went to Rome in the middle of August. Extreamely hot but exactly becuase of that there were some relevant positive side effects. City was almost free of the typical traffic and chaos. I could get around the city easely and safely with the electric motorbikes. If you can resist to hot temperature and you are fine to wake up early and get to bed late this could be a nice option.Guest review bySimoneSpain
