1] Availability of the hotel shuttle. That took away worries about getting to the airport in time. We checked out at 4 in the morning!
2] The proximity to many restaurants by strolling to the mall next door was very convenient.
3] The Leonardo Express is literally steps from the hotel. Such relief.
4] Very convenient whilst leaving Roma.
5] Staff kept my request.

Close to the airport, had a shuttle (additional cost, but minimal) to the airport. Staff was great and did everything they could to help me. Room was newly renovated. I wish I had spoken some Italian or their English had been better, but we managed to communicate. Great cappuccino with cocoa dusting made for me by the manager. Room had a great lightup mirror.

Had outlets next to the bed. Shower didn’t run out of hot water. Front desk was very helpful and allowed us to use her phone charger.

Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home.
We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home. The accommodation was really close to the airport and Costantino helped me organise a shuttle to the airport.
The place was lovely and clean and the communication was very good. Breakfast was supplied and it was amazing.
As we had a late flight we were able to leave our luggage at the place while we explored Fiumicino.
Would highly recommend Il Piccolo.

Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings of tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops that seem to cater to more locals than tourists. It was fun to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of this real fishing town.

The location close to the airport was good for us and the time that we had available.
The port was a short walk away and had good restaurants and a nice vibe.
The breakfast was OK, simple and adequate for us. It would have been improved if we had access to more than just a kettle and coffee machine as we got a takeaway pizza and had no plates. Would suggest that other travellers eat at the pizza shop itself.

We often choose to stay in Fiumicino as a staging area either upon arrival or departure from Roma (FCO airport). It has a sort of edgy border town vibe to it that makes it feel more authentic. It has a nice promenade along the mouth of the river with many cafes, bars, & restaurants; you can fall into a bad tourist place or find a nice authentic trattoria, and also some very posh establishments; most featuring local fish.
It is close to the airport so it's convenient and the prices for a room are lower than going into Rome proper.

I added my taxi ride from the airport €30 then the following day shuttle back to the airport €10
I should have stayed at the 4star option beside the airport as it would have been less expensive

It reminds me of the beautiful city of Trieste on north-east Italian coast. Walking to the sea while seeing la bella porta. There were many restaurants in Fiumicino. Many of them sea-based. You will find good priced napoletana pizaa and some more interesting italian restuarants.
I will come to visit this beautiful city again. instead of just bella roma
Exceptional kind hosts that waited for us way past midnight, as our flight had delay and it took forever to get a taxi from the airport to take us to the accomodation (beware at night times the flat rate for taxi is EUR40, whether they take you to Roma Termini (35min drive) or, like us, 5 mins up the road in Fiumicino.)
The next morning the hosts offered to take us privately back to the airport for EUR20. Very friendly, kind and made us feel welcome, even though for just a few hours.
A small family run hotel in Fiumicino very near the airport. Nothing fancy but very nice for a stay before or after arrival at the airport. The family that runs the hotel are wonderful, very friendly and competent. We were in a spacious room on the top floor with a large terrace. The shuttle service to and from the airport (for an extra fee) is convenient. We really like being in the small town and being able to walk to restaurants. Some very good fish restaurants nearby.
This was a one night stay before catching our flight home. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable.
It was located in a small town close to the airport which was amazing to look out and watch the fishing boats in the harbor and take a stroll along the streets it made us feel like you were in a community with the locals. We didn't expect this so close to Rome Intl airport a nice change of pace from airport hotels.
Great pit stop near Fiumicino airport. I only needed a place to stay for the night, so this was the perfect one night stay. The hotel has a shuttle (additional fee) and will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Breakfast is included, which was also great. You place your breakfast order the day before and they have it ready for you in the morning. There is also an option to have it delivered to your room.
close to the airport, 3 minutes to the airport, value for money and in general the place was clean. We really appreciated that they were accommodating for a late arrival, something that not many hotels are doing these days due to COVID. The person who met us for the airport to hotel transfer and gave us the keys was very nice, we appreciated him and his quick response times via WhatsApp.
It was optimal for a short night stay for the connecting flight next morning. We arrived late and the host was very kind to check us in at late hour for no extra charge (9-10 in the evening). It was also fairly easy to get to the B&B from Fiumicino airport with a public bus + 10 mins walk.
Hotel had good value comparing to the prices in the neighbourhood and the city of Rome.
I had all the necessary facilities in the room: TV, a small fridge, shower gel/shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good.
The hotel is very close to the Rome Fiumicino Airport which was one criteria when choosing it.
They also offer airport shuttle with extra charge.
The staff was helpful and kind.
We stay at this little hotel which has a lovely little grassy courtyard in which our little dog loves to run before our long flight home. The location to the Fiumicino airport is great, and we find it is very quiet inside the rooms in spite of airport noises. We will definitely return when we need overnight accommodation before flying home to Canada from Italy
We needed a hotel near to Fiumicino airport since our flight was really early. We stayed only for our night. The location of the hotel is great for the specific reason and you can combine last minute shopping since shopping malls are next to it. The rooms are modern and clean and the staff really friendly to help us with the transfer to the airport
This hotel employs very responsive staff that meet whatever need you bring forward. It is in a fabulous location only steps away from Fiumicino Airport . The facilities are super clean and well-cared for. The restaurant service and food were outstanding and enjoyable. The rapid train station is close by for those wishing to travel into Roma.
Porto Romano is a great option when traveling out of the Fiumicino airport, which is about 15 minutes away. It’s cheaper than the airport hotels, has very nice grounds with a lovely looking pool, and the restaurant on the property was excellent. It’s also in a great location for visiting the Roman ruins at Ostia Antica.
Well attended hotel with nice rooftop hall for breakfast. Location very convenient to airport. Fiumicino area also good with nice seaside promenade, restaurants and cafes, pleasant and relaxed. Shuttle services also provided.
The hotel is very near Leonardo da Vinci airport in the town of Fiumicino. Very clean, updated, great pool and trendy Italian restaurant with bar. Shuttle to airport available and reserved at check in. Good value! Great find.
Very comfortable room for an airport hotel while much cheaper than the other hotels. But most of all, super support of the person running it! Very friendly and helpful, drives you to the airport himself whenever you need.
The deluxe room we had was spacious and clean but we had problems with the sink (water did not drain out properly). Breakfast was average and the shuttle bus to the Fiumicino airport was less than 5 minutes away.
