Everything was wonderful from the friendly greeting at the front desk upon arrival to the daily treatment at breakfast. Excellent staff, Fernando, Michelangelo, Benedetta, Alessandro, with f&b, always ready (and very dignified) to bring you what you need - drinks and terrific food! Also check out lovely pool bar! Laura, Simona, Sandro, I believe, were the names of some of the lovely people at the reception. Thanks for helping me open up a bottle late eve ;-).

Olbia is all about the sea, and what a glorious turquoise sea it is. As the gateway to Sardinia’s stunning Emerald Coast, this down-to-earth town is often overlooked in favour of the more glamorous resorts. However, it does have attractions of its own.
The simple Basilica of San Simplicio dates to the 11th century and the Church of St Paul the Apostle is also medieval. The National Archaeology Museum houses Roman ships, as well as prehistoric artefacts from the surrounding area.
Sardinia has a wealth of prehistoric structures and one of these – the Tomba dei Giganti Su Monte‘e S’Abe – is near Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport and medieval Pedres Castle. Across the bay is Sa Testa Sacred Well, dating to at least 1200 BC.
Along the coast in Pittulongu are the real attractions – fantastic, unspoilt beaches from where you can see rocky Tavolara Island, a popular diving site. In summer, boats sail there from Isola Bianca Harbour, the arrival point of ferries from the Italian mainland. The harbour’s fishing boats are responsible for the fantastic mussels in Olbia’s seafood restaurants, some of which are amid bars and shops on Corso Umberto – the locals’ favourite passeggiata spot.
The Olbia accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury spa hotels, apartments near the beach and cheap B&Bs.

We stayed in Olbia for two nights when we arrived in Sardegna and three nights when before we departed. Olbia has all the services available you need including banks, supermarkets, restaurants, and green spaces. The city center has many shops and is clean and nice to walk around as traffic is not permitted during peak hours. There are numerous archeological sites and beaches within an easy drive from the city. The buses and trains run regularly. Very nice outdoor market on Tuesdays near the train station where you can purchase fresh local vegetables and fruit, meat and cheeses and souvenirs. There are several historic churches in town. The airport is small but well equipped with a variety of food options, drink and shops. Both arrival and departure went well.

Olbia is a practical town to stay in because you can travel by bus or car to Sardinia’s top attractions. There is a lot of action on the Corso Umberto and surroundings but overall I found only a few good places to eat. The airport is close and easy to reach via public transportation. All in all I would recommend it as a place where you spend the night but you plan your day to day visiting the amazing beaches and hikes.

If you are travelling around northern Sardinia then I would recommend a visit to Alghero rather than Olbia.
There are very few places of interest in Olbia and the traffic network is very hard to negotiate with confusing signage in many parts.

A trip to Olbia felt like visiting the 'real' Italy.
A trip to Olbia felt like visiting the 'real' Italy. Tourists per se are not specially catered for, although there are tours of La Maddalena from Palau, dolphin spotting etc.
But what you do get is a warm welcome from local people.
Lively bars, but not thumping clubs.
- and the food is amazing, with a particular focus on local delicacies as well as fresh fish and seafood.
Easy to get to local beaches (Bados and Pittulongu) which have beach bars. plenty of loungers and parasols to hire for the day. Turquoise waters, sandy beaches.

The beach access is great. Such a comfortable hotel-feels like home. Very traditional charming look! The restaurant is great-very nice serving staff, food is traditional Sardinian cuisine. The breakfast has very good variety. The hotel is spotless and well taken care of. My daughter enjoyed the pool as well as going to the beach. Close to a small grocery store and the bus to Olbia. Great smelling soap in the room! Very happy with our stay would stay again.
Solid stay for one quick night in Olbia.
Received us late with a self check in. Big tv with Netflix. Comfortable bed, AC and a clean experience. Responsive and willing to help. We left our suitcases for a few hours before departing the day of check out. Very relieving when people do this for you, last minute and with care. Much appreciated.
Close to the center and bus dropped off a few blocks if you’re coming from airport. Worth the money. I recommend.
This hotel has lovely charm and is perfect if you want a nice base to explore the island. the staff were lovely, and the little welcoming touches were great, beach bag and towels, water in the room, room service exceptional. it’s a little out of the town but that’s great if you want a quiet and peaceful place to stay. breakfast has great options and the view from the pool is lovely. free parking big bonus for us.
We went to jazz hotel for the first time as we had the flight to Olbia the Next evening and was absolutely a superb stay!
The hotel spot is the best location in Olbia, close to everything and specially to the airport.
The room was very clean , spacious and modern!
The pool is absolutely gorgeous and we spend the best time ever!
I’ll definitely recommend to friends and I’ll be back next year for a longer stay!
A wonderful hostess met us at this mini-hotel in the center of Olbia. Our room was as expected, spacious and clean. Breakfast included sweet treats, coffee, juice, water, yoghurts. The atmosphere is almost homey. The location is perfect - near the sea promenade, the streets of the old town, a bus stop, from where you can get to Pitulongu beach in 20 minutes, and 10 minutes to the airport.
Nice, quality room, equipped with everything necessary (including an iron in the shared area). The hotel is easy to reach by car - light traffic and no narrow roads if you drive from outside the town. You can reach the airport in minutes (by car on our case). Good pizza can be ordered from a little bar just next to the hotel.
The owner is nice and helpful.
Fantastic stay in a beautifully remote location nestled in the mountains just 15 minutes away from Olbia and within 30 to 60 minutes of various stunning beaches/mountain peaks. The apartment was spotlessly clean, modern and well equipped. The hosts were responsive and very helpful with providing recommendations for local areas of natural beauty.
great stay. very comfortable beds, great breakfast at the lovely garden, very kind owners. the owner asked us what we like for breakfast and they prepared everthing for us. for the beach the owner offered us umbrellas and towels. very happy with our stay and we would come back if we are in Sardinia again.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, hotel very close to the beach- less than a minute walk although our room was on a ground floor and we couldn't see the sea. Delicious breakfast. We drove a lot around the island to see different places so the hotel was just perfect for what we needed.
We arrived late at the airport in Olbia and stayed here for one night before picking up our rental. Our hosts were very welcoming and picked us up at the airport, and dropped us back off. The room was clean and comfortable, and they served a nice breakfast in the morning.
The style, privacy and views from this property are fabulous. A real feel of Sardinia. The terrace is ideal in heat and also provides shelter.
The property is 20 minute walk from a stunning quiet little bay. A car would be beneficial for beach and esp food shopping.
The property was super cute and the host was soooo kind and generous. We found ourselves stranded and she picked us up and also drove us to the airport the next day. If you have a car I 100% recommend this spot for your stay in Olbia.
The location was perfect, very quite and green area and not too far from Olbia city. By car you can reach most of the famous beaches (Golfo degli Aranci, Costa Smeralda and Porto San Paolo in front of Tavolara island).
It was a really clean and beautiful modern house. Everything you’ll need is there and you walk to the city center of Olbia in just two minutes. Also the beautiful beaches of Costa Smeralda are easy to reach by car.
We enjoyed our stay in Olbia. This boutique hotel is wonderful. Rooms were very clean and well appointed as was the spa . Breakfast was varied and bountiful....John Paulo was a great host.
Good location 15mins from the centre. Hotel has a nice pool. Train station is next to the hotel so ideal if you are travelling around Sardinia also buses are nearby for easy access to beach
It had everything you need for a relaxing week by the sea.
The beach was so close with sunbeds allocated to the hotel and cafes nearby selling pizza and sandwiches in the day.
