Great view even if it meant we needed to take a shuttle to the old city. Room was big. Staff was very nice! We liked the pool was open for us and the bar was open. They were able to arrange a shuttle downtown and back which we loved.

The breakfast was the typical Italian breakfast of rolls and some fruit. The suppers were wonderful. The food was excellent, prepared well and presented in a loving manner. The idea that some of the produce was from the location itself was just rewarding.
Located opposite the Baroque Church of San Francesco d’Assisi, Gualtiero Camere & Suite is in Caltagirone’s historical center.

Location….. in the historic center within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Joseph was very helpful in getting us to the hotel from the train station. Quick to answer all of our questions. The breakfast was amazing and the homemade cakes made by Joseph’s wife were absolutely delightful. Our room was delightful with a huge bathroom and beautiful old historic style. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Caltagirone.

The most beautiful city of Sicily mainly thanks to the ubiquitous ceramics in public spaces, balconies, ceramic workshops and shops. We recommend the restaurant Floriano, where we had a very good meal in a pleasant environment and at a reasonable price.

Caltagirone is a nice city, having friendly people around and very helpful.
Lots of restaurants offering good food with moderate prices.
A city rich in history, offering beautiful views from its highest points.
Also it offers a roads connection to other cities like Catania on one side and Gela on the other.

The city is full of wonderful ceramic shops.
The city is full of wonderful ceramic shops. Once you find a spot to park, and it is free to park in the town, it is very walkable, although very hilly. If the weather turns bad, the town actually disappears into the fog. We found some wonderful ceramics here. I would have liked to have had a longer time to more fully explore the town.

Caltagirone is s must for ceramic lovers from all nations.
Caltagirone is s must for ceramic lovers from all nations. Master artists create stunning individual works of art, many taking more than a week to decorate in bright Majolica. The town was rebuilt in Baroque style, after the town was destroyed by a 17th century earthquake. The ceramics museum, situated in an old theatre, is undergoing renovations, and needs it. However, it displays a phenomenal wealth of Caltagirone ceramics through the ages. Pots from the 18th and 19th centuries seem to predominate, along with Greek from 500 BC. Despite being run down, the museum is well worth a visit (€4). The civic museum is situated in a beautifully renovated old courthouse and jail which is worth visiting for the building alone, never kind the superb artworks, various judicial uniforms, religious bits and, of course, some ceramics. Everything is an easy walk away and its a lovely, busy proper little town... Accessible by bus from Palermo (3.5 hrs), or Catania (1.5 hrs). Just in case you're in any doubt, I loved Caltagirone!
Salvo’s place is located perfectly in the centre of Caltagirone with convenient parking next door. Next to the clean rooms and the wonderful breakfast, it is particularly the host itself that makes this place special. Salvo has been a life saver for us, as we got sick and needed help (in the middle of the night!). Salvo went above and beyond to help us manage the situation. We cannot thank him enough for his support and kindness! All the best and hopefully see you soon again!
Stylish room in the very hearth of the city, literally a few steps away from the iconic stairs of Caltagirone🤌🏻The host lady was very kind, she warmly welcomed us, we felt like home and she didn’t mind us leaving a little bit later after the official check out time.
Else, property has its own rooftop terrace with stunning views all around the city!
For those arriving by car, we would recommend parking it on the nearby square, right behind the building👌🏼.
I highly recommend staying at La casa di Bianca. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped and was perfectly clean. It is located in a quiet street with the famous Staircase of Santa Maria del Monte just around the corner. Even though our flight had been delayed and we arrived very late in the evening the host was there to greet us and was very understanding and kind. Perfect accommodation to explore the lovely city of Caltagirone!
We had a lovely stay at Gaetano's place. The room was well located, clean and spacious and the bathroom (and large shower) was great. Gaetano was a wonderful host, welcoming us with coffee and snacks and gave us great tips for visiting Caltagirone. He was very kind and was available when we had questions. The breakfast provided was also delicious. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in Caltagirone!
The house is absolutely stunning. It is renovated and decorated with lots of love for detail and tradition. Fabrizio is an amazing host who explained us all about Caltagirone and the Sicilian traditions. He made our stay very special by giving us recommendations about ceramic shops, restaurants and bars and by preparing us an excellent breakfast. Overall, we can highly recommend the b&b and the host!
Our room at hotel WF2 was one of the nicest of our car trip around Sicily. Very spacious, there’s plenty of room to unpack and unwind. The bed was very comfortable and service was impeccable. The bathtub- shower offered a great soak. Breakfast was delicious and served to our dietary preferences. The location provided easy access to local touring. Thank you to a super friendly, helpful staff.
Getting to Caltagirone was a wonderful surprise, as the town is a jewel. But it was equally wonderful to stay at this place: Tina, the hostess, is a fantastic lady and received us very warmly. She made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was immaculately clean, it is spacious and offers a great stay in the center of town. For sure a place I would stay again! Highly recommended!
Excellent apartment in the historical center of Caltagirone. It is very nicely updated and bright and airy. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well furnished and included items for coffee and breakfast. The owner Tina was very personable, available and accommodating. She even provided welcoming fruit and vouchers for breakfast at a local gelateria.
A real gem in the centre of Caltagirone. Beautiful apartment , good sized rooms and fully equipped. Bonus has parking and only 5 mins walk to the centre and the famous ceramic staircase. Plenty of cafe and restaurants for eating out. Gianpiero met us and showed us the the parking and apartment. Look no further for a stay in Caltagirone 👍🏻
The view from balcony is a dream, in centre
directly. Benjamin is very friendly owner, my train to Caltagirone was late and the bus was not there, so Benjamin was coming to take me from train station , on the way he showed me 2 attractions, so I was happy to see Caltagirone
Clean, comfortable room with a balcony and fantastic view of the countryside. The staff was very polite and helpful. The pool looked inviting but the weather was cool so we did not try to swim. It was a very quiet atmosphere and hotel did not seem to be fully booked.
We like this apartment allow us to check in from 11:00 am and check out latest at 13:00. Not unnecessary WhatsApp from the host to disturb us like the other hosts in Sicily. The apartment has everything we need. Quiet and clean.
Quiet location, very clean accommodation and gracious and kind staff. The combination wine tasting/dinner is not to be missed!!
Also, while in the country, the center of Caltagirone is just a few kilometers away.
The place was nice, clean and very comfortable
Location in the middle of the historic city
next to the famous steps of Caltagirone
Rosa Maria the owner was very nice
we highly recommend this place
Bright modern and comfortable apartment. All you need for a home from home stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Caltagirone and positioned in the old town.
Great location and very welcoming owner. The room and bathroom were huge. There's a free parking less than a minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend!
