best thing was the ability to check in late after cruise to the islands and that it had a gym

Whilst I didn't see much of it, I wouldn't stay here. Just travel through on way to Aeolian islands. Surprisingly, no taxi's or uber's at train station when I arrived from Palermo so I had to hitch-hike (lol)!

It's not Taormina which is obviously the jewel in the crown of Sicily but it's a nice town to wander around and the restaurants are good and plentiful.
We stayed there specifically to be close to the Aolian Boat tours (which I don't recommend).

What I liked most were the hospitality and generosity of the father/daughter hosts. They were supremo! Outstanding! Wunderbar!
We also enjoyed the Norman castle which was very close.
And there was a wonderful 🐢 who loved to be massaged by the proprietor.., and a handsome Husky dog! All Bueno!

The views from the hotel (including Etna) were just fantastic (we booked sea-view). The location was great for ius as it was a short walk to lots of interesting places for us, and the staff were really friendly ( a bit more english would have been helpful but wasn't necessary)

Milazzo is a beautiful coastal city rich in history, culture and architecture. I was there for just two days as the purpose of us staying there was our sail to the Isole Eolie, but I did notice the city offers excellent shopping and all types of dining and nightlife. And the day and nighttime views of the Aeolian sea and mainland Sicily were gorgeous. As Italian/American tourists, I was delighted how friendly the locals were to us on the street and in the stores/restaurants. Be prepared to pay for parking wherever you go though day and night. I would certainly visit this city again.
A perfect place to stay, if you’re visiting Milazzo. It’s near the beach and near the harbor if you want to go for a boat trip to the Eolian islands.
The apartment is large, and with a great personal touch in the vintage like classical interior design and furniture. And most importantly it is clean and the host is extremely helpful and friendly. There’s a well equipped kitchen and a supermarket just around the corner, so it’s perfect if you want to cook your own meals.
All in all a wonderful home for your visit to Milazzo.
AlterEgo was the perfect place for us to stay in Milazzo. The location is perfect, calm but close to the harbor where we started our tour to the Aeolian Islands. The rooms are nice, well equipped and very clean. Rocco is an exceptional host who helped us with everything, you can tell he‘s doing his job with passion. The breakfast was also very good and Rocco and his team helped us a lot by offering gluten free alternatives. So if you‘re going to Milazzo, this is the place to stay, thank you Rocco and AlterEgo Team!
The hotel is perfectly located adjacent to the duomo, a few steps away from the main waterfront and a 10-minute walk from the village centre, where one finds the ferry to the Aeolian Islands and the bus stop for our connection to/from Catania Airport. A lot of shops are located close by, along with some very good restaurants & coffee shops. B&B Al Duomo is a small family-run hotel. Eliana & Giuseppe really make you feel at home, making sure to assist you any time with anything you may need.
what a uniquely beautiful property! it is located right in the heart of the old town, directly by the castle, some of Milazzos best restaurants, and a short drive to the spectacular Capo Milazzo.
but most of all; the stay is made perfect by the incredible hosts. Never have I had such a spectacular breakfast, and never with such wonderful conversations. here is a couple who take the utmost pride in making their guests feel at home. staying with them was the highlight of my 3 weeks in Sicily.
Well located near the port if you have to take the ferry in the morning. I stayed only one night and left early so I didn’t use it, but the kitchen seemed functional.
The shared room was large enough, doesn’t feel squeezed with the other beds. The room has a cute little balcony. It was quiet at night, no significant noise from the street, as I experienced in other places in Sicily.
The hostel is located in a flat converted, which is not very large, but well arranged.
Location is perfect, near the beach, near the bars. Also you have around 10-15 minutes walk till the ferry and cruise center for visiting Eolian islands. The appartment is confortable fo sleep. Equipemend except aircoditions is a little out of time but in function. For this price you will never get so much space ond comfort anywhere on Sicily. If you are not to requesting book it. I will suggest it to my friends.
Perfect for an overnight stop if you are travelling around Sicily. The host managed everything efficiently from remote, we arrived late at night and she had a system that let us in efficiently. The location is not very charming as iti’s close to the industrial part of Milazzo but really comfortable and safe if you are travelling by car and need to stop overnight! Breakfast is simple but good and clean.
Located right in front of the beach at walking distance to the centre.
Alessio were very welcoming and always available for anything that could make our stay comfortable.
Change of towels, Sicilian food as welcome, baby kit, lift to the arbour for the tour to the islands.
Lady host was very nice, she even showed us baby cats which was nice. It was nice and peaceful and located near Milazzo. It was the only accommodation where they offered us toast with ham and cheese for breakfast and we loved that. Wifi worked perfectly.
The location couldn't be better, just a couple of minutes from the port where we took the ferry to Aeolian islands. In a few minutes distance one can find very nice restaurants, coffeshops and two supermarkets. Spacious and clean bathroom.
the best place to stay in Milazzo !
wonderful friendly owners , kind and helpful people.
beautiful sea view ,
exceptionally well organised kitchen and equipment . loved cooking there.
The owner was very helpful, he made it feel like home. Room was clean, ambient and design of the place very nice. Location is very central and Milazzo is a really nice town to visit.
The room was spacious, extremely clean, directly across from the ferry terminal for the morning trip to the Aeolian Islands and Mario was a spectacular host tending to every need.
Loved the gorgeous suite, the whirlpool, the crazy old elevator, the wonderful sunrise view, and the breakfast! This is a very romantic spot, and I would highly recommend.
Absolutely the best place to stay for a journey in Milazzo or even for a longer stay.
All was clean, working well and the balcony with the sea view was wonderful also.
