Family-run medium-sized modern hotel a few minutes' walk from the central pedestrian core of Bolzano (also easily walkable from the train station if you don't have much luggage -- but we did). Staff are very friendly and helpful. When we asked them to order a taxi to take us to train station, they instead offered to drive us themselves! Breakfast is good, and they will also make you omelettes to order. Although I think that technically this would be considered a "3 star" level of hotel in terms of amenities, we found it very comfortable.

Bolzano is one of those cases that are difficult to describe without risking undermining its beauty and complexity. A witness of the conflicts and renaissance of Europe, this Italian city is the capital of the German speaking province of South Tyrol. Located in the Adige River Valley, it is surrounded by hills crowned by castles, and framed by the Dolomites Alps.
After reaching the local railway station, follow the Bahnhofsallee or Viale della Stazione and you’ll reach Walther Square, where the beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is located. The shops along the arcaded street of Via dei Portici will lead you towards the market, located in Goethe Strasse. The display of colourful vegetables and flowers encompasses the beautiful buildings, while some of the best luxury hotels in Bolzano are located nearby.
The city is famous for its Christmas Market, but be aware that most of the hotels in Bolzano get sold out quickly during this time! A stroll around the old residential quarter of Gries and a visit to the many nearby castles is a must.
Whether you arrive at the local Dolomites Airport or the larger Verona Airport, check out the Bolzano accommodation deals on Booking.com before travelling!

We enjoyed exploring the picturesque streets, filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. The food was fantastic, offering a delightful mix of traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and Italian classics.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, where we learned about the famous Ötzi the Iceman. There is also an amazing Messner Museum nearby. The ease to access different trails from the city made it another advantage.
Every aspect of our trip was enhanced by the friendly locals who were always eager to help and share their love for the city. Whether we were enjoying a leisurely stroll through the old town, sipping coffee in a quaint cafe, or hiking in the nearby Dolomites, we felt welcomed and at home.

I highly recommend that if you visit Bolzano, you use the furnicular and go up to SopaBolzano. The ride is wonderful and you have a panoramic view. There is also a train on the top that you can go all along the top and look at the view. We had coffee and gelato at the little café at the top of the mountain. Such a relaxing, nice time. There is also very good shopping in Bolzano and restaurants. We had dinner at Paulaner Stuben—it was awesome!!

It was so much better than we expected.
It was so much better than we expected. Perfect combination between Austrian and Italian culture. You could eat schnitzels ánd pasta in almost every restaurant. Not too touristy (we went in September). Within 15 minutes you could go to the mountains by cable car for little money. The mountains (via Oberbozen for example) were very beautiful, wide and quiet. You could take a 100 year old tram in Oberbozen that went through the little villages up the mountains. 100% coming back! Tip: go by train! It was very accessible, we came from Innsbruck which is only a 2 hr train ride from Bolzano, including breathtaking views.

We loved the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology, the MMM Fermian and the victory monument. Oberon Restaurant was an outstanding Pizza place and the staff are friendly too. We stayed at the Roma Ariston Apartments' and we had a great time there. The mountains around Bolzano were super cool and we highly recommend Bolzano.
Location right in the middle of Bolzano and easy to reach from train station. Room was well provided with fridge, kettle, iron and toiletries and everything sermed quite new and fresh. Nice balcony. Air conditioning was fantastic. Fantastic kitchen facility with cupboards setup so that you can keep your things divided from other guests. Great value for money when compared to other hotels. We don't agree with the complaints about noise that we have seen made by others - we enjoyed a good, quiet night's sleep.
The hotel is loacated just outside the city centre of Bolzano. Easy to reach by car and it has a great indoor parking. The bus station is very close if you prefer to go to the city by bus. As we visited Bolzano's Xmas markets it was very helpful to avoid the road jam.
The staff was very friendly with many useful advices to visit the city. The room very clean and reachable from the parking. The bathroom was large and perfectly heated.
The breakfast tasteful and various.
The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The staff was helpful, very friendly and welcoming. This historic hotel is located within walking distance of most of the places a tourist wants to visit and around the corner from the seilbahn going to Soprabolzano. We also received a Bolzano card which made getting around Bolzano easy and was also good for the museums and castles. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Hotel Feichter is technically a 2 star, but is as nice as 3 or 4 star hotels I've stayed in. The hotel was simple but attractive, and it was immaculate. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and it was the best breakfast we enjoyed in Italy. A "Bolzano Card" was also included in our stay which got us into a number of attractions. I would stay here again without hesitation.
Very nice, modern and cozy hotel, recently renovated, in the heart of Bolzano. As our garden room was gone, the nice receptionists offered us a free upgrade and late checkout. The room was cozy and relaxing. The garden is captivating like the yoga area. Having a parking lot accessible via the reception is a plus.
Overall a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in the very heart of the old town, facing Bolzano Cathedral and the Christmas market. My room was clean and had a beautiful mountain view. All service was wonderful, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Probably the best hotel in Bolzano. Luxury at a reasonable price (it's a top quality one). The rooms are large and I have been upgraded to a suite more than once. The atmosphere is of an old fashioned, but non worn out, European fin de siecle hotel.
Very spacious and well-equipped apartment. The location is very convenient for the centro storico as well as the main bus and train stations. The funivia of Renon is right next door.
Fabio and Anna are excellent and attentive hosts.
This was an amazing place to stay, not only in Bolzano, but in all our years of travel. Not your typical hotel, but a historic building with amazing rooms.. I cannot recommend this place more highly!!! Thank you for an incredible stay!
Good location. Use of car park very close to hotel for very reasonable price (5 euros per day). 15 min walk to city centre, or 5 minute bus ride (all transport in Bolzano and regional trains free with card given by hotel).
Cosy apartment with everything you need , and a patio with table and chairs to enjoy the outside scene. Local shops and supermarket nearby. Convenient access to Centro by bus, or walk or ride along the river Parkway.
This was one of the best places I've stayed at in Italy. It is in a great location, it's extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff is amicable, helpful, and informative. It's also quite inexpensive.
the hotel is located in the middle of Bolzano very close to the old city. the rooms were clean and big the breakfast was rich and the hotel has also a very nice swimming pool.
Very nice hotel located in the central part of Bolzano! The staff and the room were fantastic! A big bathroom! I really enjoyed the wellness area located at the ground floor!
Very good location just outside Bolzano. Beautiful surroundings in a quiet neighborhood.
The rooftop pool was great, its heated as well. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Rooms were clean so that's good. Reception staff was very friendly. Sufficient parking inthe back of the hotel and free bus pass to the center of Bolzano.
