Loveliest little hotel! Definitely met the value paid. we didn’t get to the breakfast but I loved that it was offered. Staff were accommodating and lovely, they held our bags the last day.

Located at the edge of a small village - silent place but close to highway. This accommodation proved to be an ideal overnight stop for travelers. The strategic location offers the perfect balance of peaceful village atmosphere while maintaining easy access to major routes. The owner was absolutely wonderful—genuinely caring and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Her dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction, and she clearly goes above and beyond to ensure visitors feel welcomed and comfortable. The apartment was impeccably clean, which made for a very pleasant and comfortable stay. While some of the equipment shows its age, this was completely overshadowed by the spotless condition of the entire space and the thoughtful attention to detail. We were delighted to discover a generous breakfast spread waiting for us, including an assortment of packaged sweets, juices, lactose-free milk, coffee, tea, and various cereal options. This thoughtful gesture was particularly appreciated by our children and added significant value to our stay without any additional cost. The accommodation proved especially suitable for families, with the breakfast offerings being a particular hit with the kids. The owner's efforts to cater to different dietary needs, including providing lactose-free options, demonstrated genuine care for guest comfort.

Carla was so nice and charming. She went above and beyond from helping us park, to providing us info on dinning suggestions nearby. She explained everything of the apartment at arrival and before. The apartment is on ground level, spacious and convenient, nicely decorated, comfortable. i highly recommend.

    It is nice and relaxing to stay in the old town, as well as near the centre for the train station. You see both sides of the same town and the 2 languages of Italian and French (I speak both, so this is great). I think Ventimiglia is a hidden gem - very close to both Sanremo and Menton! Great!

    The old town was interesting with a view of the marina. The restaurants offered good quality food at reasonable prices. We had excellent pasta and rice dishes which had fresh fish. It is easy to walk everywhere and the trains were on time and resonably priced.

    Unfortunately, the large covered market was closed due to a fire. However, the Friday weekly market was impressive - must be more than 200 stalls! A short bus excursion to the Giardini Hanbury was very good (but you must be physically fit, as on a steep hillside down to the sea)

    Ventimiglia is a traditional border town with beaches, an old quarter, a market, a new marina and usual choice of cafes and restaurants. Excellent location for visiting nearby Italian towns and french towns are easily reached using reliable trains. Great location for visiting Hanbury Gardens (15 minutes by bus).

    We liked that Ventimiglia is very close to popular places such as Monaco, Menton, SanRemo. Day trips very easy to do. Some areas of Ventimiglia were dodgy but overall people very friendly, prices reasonable and beaches not overcrowded

    Ventimiglia is a little gem of a place.

    Ventimiglia is a little gem of a place. Overshadowed by Nice, Monaco and Menton, but take that extra few kilometres into Italy and you will be well rewarded. Great food, super beaches and everything is a short walk away.

    We stayed at Hotel Calypso and were very pleased with its excellent location—just a short walk from the train station, which made it very convenient for traveling around. We also found free parking just 30 meters from the hotel on the white-marked spots, which was a big plus. The room and the entire hotel were very clean, and housekeeping did a great job. Towels were changed almost daily, which we really appreciated.

    Carlo met us and showed us around the lovely spacious well appointed apartment. He gave us comprehensive information about Ventimiglia and surrounds and even texted me a walking tour itinerary of the medieval part of the town. Highly recommend you stay here if you visit Ventimiglia.

    This was my third visit to this hotel. Easy walking distance from the railway station and Ventimiglia is a nice town with good range of restaurants. Perfect commuting location for Monaco and Nice. The hotel itself has a little roadside seating area, ideal for a cool drink.
