Wonderful location! Quiet street in easy walking distance from ferry. Off of the main stretch but close to all the good restaurants. Very clean and well kept. Elegant but understated room and grounds. Room was small but had a wonderful balacony. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! We loved the free bikes, though they needed a bit of maintenance. Excellent recommendation for the bike path from the front desk.

Spanning 11 kilometres between the Adriatic Sea and one of the most famous lagoons in the world, Lido is a narrow and long island located just in front of Venice’s Old Town. Beach resorts, hotels and private villas replaced the vegetable gardens 160 years ago that provided tranquil settings for poets and writers like Lord Byron and Thomas Mann.
Probably one of the first beach resorts in the world, its first facility opened in 1857 and soon became a success. Nowadays, it constitutes a peaceful suburb that claims its golden past once a year during the Film Festival, and offers a quieter setting for your accommodation than central Venice.
There are actually three different villages on the island. Lido itself is located in the north, and includes most of the hotels and the Venice Casino. The smaller Malamocco and Alberoni are situated to the centre and south respectively. The sea-facing side of Lido Island is a succession of sandy beaches, mostly belonging to different resorts and hotels.
Gran Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta is the island’s main street, leading from the ‘vaporetto’ water bus pier to the sea. There are buses running on the island, while direct waterbus links to Venice Marco Polo Airport are also available.

Lido is a great place to base yourself from if you want to visit Venice. It offers easy access to the city and the nearby islands (Murano, Burano, etc.), but it is relaxed and quiet compared to the overly-touristed Venice, so it's lovely to come back to Lido after a hectic day of tourist activities. We didn't take advantage of the beach, but we could have if we had built in more time.

Make sure you are told if the season had started we were not told, everywhere was closed til June so with lots of extra expence we had to change flights and book hotels in the city
We were totally disgusted with the whole holiday and wished we had never booked to go to the Lido and Residence la Fontaine, never again

Lido was recommended to me by a friend who goes every year.
Lido was recommended to me by a friend who goes every year. She'd stayed in lots of areas. Great choice ! The island was quieter, cleaner, cheaper and not so busy. It was lovely to walk around, trees, flora and fauna, churches , lots of shops and restaurants. Short stroll to a beautiful beach. Amazing sunsets, with all those views. Picture perfect. We used a three day vaporetta pass to get around. We were two stops away from main part of Venice, where we got off to explore. Four stops to San Marco, quick and easy. Longer trips to Murano, which was worth a visit...free to get into the glass factory on a Wednesday and the airport was a 45 minute ride, but easily done.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The space was quaint and perfectly located away from the crazy busy hub that is Venice. It was a 5 minute walk to the laundromat, where you could have a drink nearby at a bar while you waited. Another 5 minute walk and you were at the beach. Lots of eateries, shops, bars and way less people.

Very close to the buzzing city of Venice (only minutes by Vaporetto) but away from all the noise and crowded streets. Perfect place to relax in the evening. Very nice restaurants, B&Bs and even a beach where you can sunbath and swim. We used to stay in Venice but now we always stay here.

Feels like a typical Italian village, but it's only a ten minute boat ride to piazza San Marco. It's quiet, but elegant. The bars and restaurants I tried - on the main boulevard and along the canal - were excellent.
The hotel was nice and very good value for money. As we had already stayed in Venice this second stay suited our budget well. Breakfast was nice and served in the garden as weather was nice. Reception made restaurant recommendations and reservations which was helpful until we found our way around. Rooms are not luxurious but perfectly clean and pleasant so if you looking for more you will pay more elsewhere. This hotel was a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beaches on this island. The staff are wonderful and very helpful.
Lido di venezia is the best of Venice 15 minutes from St. Marques square and within 10 minutes from the beaches. The Beaches are beautiful (check for availability) The district is not crowded, very calm exspecially if you compare it to the crowded downtown of Venice. The hotel is in a nice alley. Beatiful and peaful location. The staff was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the stay.
Lovely place that is well kept and nicely decorated, and all the facilities were clean and easy to use. The staff are also helpful and professional. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice hotel with relatively close access to Venice and the beach. The area around the hotel is also easy to walk in, and has nice restaurants and a couple of nice shops.
the location is excellent. based on the lido you have stunning views of Venice. The hotel was a bargain in early May, and we weren’t expecting much. we used it as a base and even spent a couple of our days at the beach and looking at the shops as the island has a lovely buzz.
hotel wise. comfortable, welcoming. the staff were superb.
The communication with the staff was easy and seamless. The check in and check out processes went without problems. The hotel has a small parking on its territory but even with our big car we were able to park there. Alternatively, you can park directly on the street close to the hotel. A good location to visit Venice.
A consistently excellent 5 star hotel, on the Lido away from the tourist crowds of downtown Venice but still close enough to visit easily, a great base for the Biennale. Mix with Italian families enjoying the beach and a spritz or two, best of all, hire a cabana on the beach, it’s pure class.
La Meridiana was a nice place to stay for weekend trip to Lido di Venezia. It is in a great location adjacent to the beach and is not a far walk to get to the main tourist area of Lido. The staff at the hotel is very friendly. Recommend this hotel to others visiting Lido.
We loved the location, a few minutes walk from the beach and not far from the farry station, so getting to and from Venice was in easy reach.
The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, with so many authentic pieces and beautiful gardens around.
A wonderful old world feel to this hotel! Clean and comfortable with great staff. Good buffet style breakfast with several options from fruit and yogurt to pastries and cereal Easy walk from the waterbus station and convenient to the beach.
We had a view of the canal in Lido. The Hotel is within walking distance to the beach and the water ferry. The room was very clean and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was amazing.😊
Wonderful family run hotel, very friendly and hospitable. Outside patio where you can enjoy coffee or a drink at night. Rooms were nice and comfy, very quiet and great for sleep! 😴
