Buzzing city with a lot of restaurants, bars and social places. Easy modes of transport. Highway has made it wonderful to go from airport to town and vice versa. Lots of greenery and access to game lodges and parks. Lots of high rise buildings too which is not so nice.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.

Giraffe Park, National park, KICC top floor, National museum, Art exhibitions, drama, Carnivore restaurant, expressway etc
Hotel was very comfortable with great amenities. Best 'feature' of Best Western Plus Westlands however was the lovely, helpful, friendly staff. I was particularly grateful to Reception and Housekeeping teams for facilitating my request to have a room in which I could change and freshen up prior to my departure for a total of 12 hours flight time on my journey home (having checked out of my own room on the morning of my departure, but not leaving for home until later on that evening).
Excellent location right in the Nairobi CBD. Nice, clean rooms, great breakfast with a view of the Nairobi skyline from the 10th floor of the hotel. Super helpful front desk staff as well as surrounded by all kinds of shops from a supermarket right next door (NaiVas /open until 21h30), an array of restaurants, BATA shoes shop (safari boots) etc. Also a plus is a nearby boarding point for Nairobi-Arusha shuttles at the nearby Monrovia Streets for tjose traveling to Tanzania overland.
Situated between the city centre and Westlands, so very central for most places. It had a large carpark with security and staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. When we checked into our room it was facing the toll booth so we asked to be moved due to the noise all night and then we had a garden facing room which was much better (room numbers 1-16). There’s no lift so if you have trouble with stairs ask for a room on the 2nd floor.
Nice rooms, great staff. Lovely dining facilities, some outside, some in, and food was good as well as a varied menu. Staff was particularly nice, caring, personable. Location also great: walking to both U. Of Nairobi and the National Museum of Kenya. If I'm back in Kenya, I'll stay there again, no question. Very good value, not high-priced. Good taxi service booked through hotel, easy access to both J.Kenyatta and Wilson airports.
Located in CBD but not noisy at all. Can access the city to explore by foot at any hour. A couple of excellent coffee shops near the hotel on Kimathi Street.
Breakfast variety at the hotel was very good and the team visited tables in the morning to get feedback on the stay - that was actually nice
We've stayed here 3 times in October as our connection point for our Safari, it was perfect and very convenient.
I highly recommend it
The location of the hotel is very central on the Moi Avenue. 5 minutes walk to the city market hall, some 15 minutes walk to the Parliament and Jomo Kenyatta tower. The restaurant by the hotel is very good, there is also a bar as a separate section. The security is presented, body temperature is being constantly measured. The rooms are basic, quite clean. Generally hotel is very much ok for a 3-star hotel in Africa.
I had a great stay at LMR. The staff were always polite and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and abundant, it was quite quiet when I was there however the service remained high level. The room was huge and spacious, it doubled up as my office whilst working. The location is a walk away from everything in Westlands as well as a walk to the Museum of Kenya. The street is quiet but this neighbourhood is vibrant.
Reception was amazing the taxi driver called the hotel and we had a taxi parking spot reserved. The welcome was exceptional.
Restaurant had very nice and polite staff, the meat products and ugali/rice was so yummy.
Breakfast was buffet they went extra way to provide sausages for my children.
Room; the beds were very comfortable.
Location: was ideal being in the cbd. It helped with shopping.
This is a wonderful hotel. Our family of four stayed for one night in transit and found the rooms to be extremely quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and very clean.
We were picked up from the airport by the shuttle service quickly and the driver was helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again when in Nairobi. No complaints, it was great!
Nestled in Nairobi’s bustling Westlands area, the Golden Tulip is a charming, clean and secure hotel. The staff are all professional and friendly. The restaurant, rooftop bar/pool, and the gym are all excellent amenities. Although I stayed there only for two days, I will certainly book my next stay in Nairobi at the Golden Tulip.
Surprisingly quiet because it's right inside the middle of Westlands CBD. The parking is basement and a few on ground level. Parking seemed squeezed. Rooms are smaller compared to others in Westlands. Wifi is good and the TV has alot of channels. Good working space. It's good for business trips.
I like the fact that the hotel is within the CBD which makes it easy to access other places.Like I had to catch the train early morning and it's like 6 minutes away. The facilities are fabulous from the hot shower, bedding, city view, kind staff and a cute room.
The place is very cosy, comfortable, serene and highly secure. Its the best location to reside in Nairobi. Its about 10 minutes drive to the CBD. The host was very kind and available 24/7 for any inquiries or assistance. The services are a 10/10.
This was our first trip to Kenya, to Nairobi. The hotel was very good , and the staff even better. They helped us a lot. They were very patience . We booked also the safari tour to Masai Mara- highly appreciate if you want to try REAL CULTURE!
Great location in the Westlands district. I knew nothing about Nairobi and wanted to explore for a few hours before my next flight. For $50 this unit was comfortable, close to cafes/shopping, had a full kitchen, wifi, and a nice living room.
The location is great if you want to explore the city. The place itself has such a cool and young vibe to it that we ended up spending a lot of time at the hotel restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Nairobi again.
The hotel is located just 5 minutes from the airport terminal, which is convenient for airline cabin crew and travelers who need a hotel for the night while transiting through Nairobi to another destination.
Great new hotel near the airport and train station. Perfect spot for transiting through Nairobi. Very clean, great service, good food, easy, and convenient. It truly is cozy! Great staff!!!
