One of the best places in Cambodia. I recommend staying there, it beats PP and other places but there are some caveats to be aware of:
1) The pub street is nice but most of the locals seems to be prostitutes so it is a good idea to check if they face you.
2) One needs to hackle in the night street in order to save money but I recommend buying silk and such since it's affordable.
3) Pool Party Hostel is the best place to be and I recommend to check out the temples.
PassApp is handy and 7/11 nearby and I recommend to eat in local places near the river good and affortable food.

If you like temples, this is the place to go!
If you like temples, this is the place to go! They are many, and varied. The crown jewel, of course, is Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and nicknamed the 8th Wonder of the World. Pub Street and the markets were fun. You can easily get around via tuk tuk, IF the weather is bearable. It was very hot when we were there (mid-May), so we opted for a driver with an air-conditioned car. We found accommodations and food to be a bit more expensive than Vietnam, but still very affordable. We think three days was sufficient. We saw many temples, but would have been templed out going any longer. One more tip--before going to Angkor Wat, go to the museum in Siem Reap. We went after visiting AW, and decided to go back to AW after the museum because we realized we had missed some things we should have seen. Oh, and eat amok!

Upon arriving at any airport I'm leary of airport taxis.
Upon arriving at any airport I'm leary of airport taxis. My driver Ann was an amazing guy. The rate they offer at the airport was the same as Grab (SE Asia's Uber). He spoke great English and was a perfect representation of everyone I met in Siam Reap, the most polite people I've encountered in 16 countries I've lived in or stayed at least a week in. The area around Pub Street has whatever you want if you're not looking for the sketchiness of Bangkok's Nana or Soi Cowboy or HCMC's Bui Vien which was relaxing. Angkor Wat was awesome, the "Private Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour" with guide Kael and driver Sak were awesome, the group was awesome, it was more enjoyable than the Pyramids or Great Wall. Like the guide and group, but the site was stand alone as well.

The Angkor Wat temples complex was amazing but due to the heat I am glad I only spent only one day there. The city is very vibrant with lots of option for a night drink. However I think 3 days (one of them being dedicated to Angkor Wat) is more than enough for this city.

Siem Reap is the perfect place to be based to visit the sights of Ankgor Wat and surrounds. I had 5 nights 4 days which was enough to see everything but if I could have added an extra day or two would have been better to see other things. Obviously the main temples to visit and the floating villages is why tourists come to this spectacular area but please take the time to go and visit the APOPO Hero Rats only 3kms out of town and a few dollars by tuk tuk. This was an unexpected highlight of my time in Siem Reap, these rats have been trained to sniff our tnt in the landmines to help rid Cambodia of these dreadful devices. Siem Reap is definately worth a visit!
Spacious and clean room with nice bathroom. Shower water was hot and strong.
Very good breakfast with various fruits and delicious vegetables.
All members of staff were friendly and helpful, especially Vy and the wonderful manager Thitima. Both of them speak perfect English and did their best to help whenever guests need. Thitima even brought the Wi-Fi boost from her own home when the Wi-Fi wasn’t stable in our room. They made us feel this hotel is the right place to stay in Siem Reap.
Angkor Land Urban Boutique is a true treasure in Siem Reap. The nice room and cozy stay made me never want to leave, but it was the mesmerizing swimming pool that truly enchanted me. I felt like I was in paradise as I lounged by the sparkling blue water, soaking up the sun's rays and savoring every moment. And the cherry on top? The prime location near Pub Street and Night Market, where I indulged in the most incredible culinary experiences. This is a hotel experience like no other!
Possibly one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Not 5 star luxury, but small, friendly, boutique (I hate that word but it fits in this case). We had a family room, a few steps from one of the swimming pools. It was large, spacious and very comfortable. The three small pools were beautiful - it was an absolute oasis to return to after mornings exploring the area. Breakfasts were fabulous - and lovely to have great Italian coffee!
I decided to extend my one-night stay in Siem Reap and found the best offer through Tripadvisor. The hotel not only provided early check-in but also upgraded my room to a villa. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel boasts a stunning garden that surrounds the villas and extends to the pool area. I am planning to return to this hotel for a longer stay and will definitely recommend it to others.
The best feature of this property is the garden and pool area and it's main attributes are hard to put into words. Many hotels have great pools and many hotels have nice gardens but few, especially in Cambodia, Siem Reap can combine the two in such a way as to create an outdoor space you just simply don't want to leave and compare to the price at this property seem to be very low during this season.
For such a good price, this hotel really delivers. The location is great, a close walk to pub street and a one minute walk from my favorite spa, The Spa Siem Reap. At the hotel, the staff are extremely helpful and they helped us book tours to the temples. The tuk tuk driver booked through the hotel was very friendly and helped us throughout our excursions. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was clean and had a spacious balcony. But the best part was the reception staff Navin, Sophun, Chen and Savath. They were very professional and helpful as well as very knowledgeable about Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. Their politeness was at the level of a 5-star hotel. Their command of English was very good. The hotel decor is stylish. It has a classy feel. Excellent value for money.
Our two-night stay at Sofitel in Siem Reap, Cambodia, was unforgettable. Located just moments from Angkor Wat, it provided the perfect base for exploring the wonders of the ancient temples. The accommodations were luxurious, the staff incredibly friendly and attentive, and the facilities top-notch. Highly recommend this hotel for an exceptional Cambodian retreat.
I stayed here with my family of 5. (3 kids)
We loved the location more then anything. It really is the best location that I can think of.
The hotel is nice and the hotel pool is really great.
Our room wasn't 100 clean (some dust on the floor and under the beds) but they came to clean at some point.
I would stay here for sure again if I'll be back in Siem Reap.
the staff were so friendly . rooms were spotless five days stay.
tut tut driver became my friend took me to all the temples , advised best ones , waited for me and spent the full day driving me around .
hotel just around the corner from all the pubs restaurants bistros .. Siem Reap is amazing .
fully recommend. ***** 5 star.
will be back soon 🇹🇭
amazing hotel, we have been 4 years ago and we was very pleased with it last time so was so glad to be able to come back to the same hotel. right in the centre of siem reap, near pub street and obviously Angkor Wat. definitely recommend this place. the staff are very friendly and the housekeepers are amazing they do great work.
Great location and nice rooms. We had a room high up the room was big. it was well planned, cleaned and bed was comfortable. Best thing with the hotel is the pool. Also the hotel breakfast, with great selection of food and friendly staff I would recommend the hotel to anyone that is going to visit siem reap.
Everything! From the fabulous rooftop pool, to the in room spa appointment, to the friendliest staff. I moved to this hotel halfway through my stay in Siem Reap and I am so glad I did. They took the best care of me & turned my trip around. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Siem Reap.
Beautiful residence with a great team of superb friendly staff ….large rooms with balconies and good views of the stunning garden and swimming pool ….good value for money and a great place to explore Angkor and the town of Siem Reap ….one of the best hotels in Siem Reap
Absolutely incredible place to stay in Siem Reap
Best wooden room hotel and since you enter to the room you will feel like you are in the forest but at the swimming pool area is full of sun shine . Staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place ..
Everything was perfect! I would definitely recommend this luxury hotel with 5 stars employees. A la carte Breakfast was amazing and the pool was perfect to relax after a long day visiting the temples.
M. Chhean the manager is very professional, always smiling and helpful, the best we met in Cambodia. The staff is professional. A hotel in which we will come back next time we visit Siem Reap.
