Laos made me cry because of it’s beauty. You can’t wish more wonderful view that you have from this little cozy hotel. The old house in the best shape. The wood is shiny, the smell is very pleasant. You are in the heart of this amazing town and can get to everything by foot. Just lovely❤️

Stayed here 2 nights and extended 2 more. Very helpful manager Mr Zhang. Could rent a scooty and also have my tickets booked to Vang Vieng. Rooms on the first floor are clean and spacious. Bathroom is stocked with shampoo and body wash. Towels and water bottles provided daily. Breakfast is sumptuous and tasty. You get one dish, one drink, and a complimentary bowl of fruits.

Very nice city with a town spirit. Burning season was hot but very good regarding air pollution and sight views, not crowded at all with great prices opportunities. Sunsets here are wonderful in any place and it´s ideal to walk to every place. Many free temples with monks living in them and markets very active with the best food. Chill mood but at the same time people from all over the world interacting with locals.

I just loved Luang Prabang.
I just loved Luang Prabang. The centre is a one in a million type place. Some people might dismiss it as touristy because there are so many guest houses and gift shops, but the shops are also wonderful shops and the glory of the place is that it is completely infused with spirituality and in particular Buddhism. One of the best things you could possibly do is to attend one of the numerous morning almsgiving ceremonies around 6 am. The food market in the centre of town is fantastic and the night market right beside it is just as good. Luang Prabang is an 11 out of 10 type of place .

Laung Prabang is easily reached from Vientiane by the China/Laos high-speed train - we made our booking through 12Go Asia - simple to book with e-tickets emailed back to you.
Note: Train tickets only go on sale 3 days before the day of travel and sell out quickly - no turning up on the day and hoping to buy a ticket like you can in the Western world - planning ahead and booking early is essential.
Also note that aerosols and liquid sprays are forbidden on the train (bags are x-rayed and manually searched on entering the train station) - no spray deodorants, perfumes or insect repellents - they will be confiscated!!

I loved the town of Luang Prabang!
I loved the town of Luang Prabang!
The town is just big enough to plenty of things to discover and see.
I suggest getting up early before 10 AM because it gets very hot after that. The town then becomes alive around 6PM, after the heat of the sun is gone.
I like renting a scooter to get around, but the town is easily walkable.
There are masses and masses of Chinese tourists, which can sometimes be disrespectful during the Alms Giving ceremony. I found many of them a bit disrespectful of the ceremony & turned it into a bit of a circus with cameras everywhere, shouting, talking, crossing in front of the monks. Sad. But it’s still a beautiful occasion to witness.

Luang Prabang has a unique feel, which is reflected in its status since 1995 as a UN World Heritage site. This means that the historic centre is being both preserved and renovated. The city is in a stunning location, set among mountains and at the confluence of two rivers, and has plenty of French colonial buildings. Every restaurant we went to served wonderful food, both Laotian and western, and had very friendly service. I will go back for a longer visit as soon as I can.
Perfect place to stay for a night or if you're on a budget. We only stayed one night since we had to do early flight the next day and Bo provided top notch services during our short stay here. Not only did he help with train pickup to hotel, he also booked a van to airport and even made us breakfast as well as coffee at 5:30 am before we go to airport. The hotel is walking distances to many restaurants and cafes as well as attractions in Luang Prabang area. The room we stayed at had a nice river view to top it off. Totally recommended!!!!!
The hotel is located just at the edge of the historic old town Luang Prabang. Very easy to walk to. The surrounding area is quiet and spacious.
The hotel itself is lovely. Each room is beautifully designed and done up. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, the bathroom is massive. Breakfast was cooked to order and the outdoor dining area/bar is fabulous. We feel that the hotel would suit couples very well. Finally the 2 hosts Leon and Pat (and the staff) are so friendly and welcoming that you cant help but want to go back to stay!
Elephant Boutique is the perfect place to stay in Luang Prabang. The rooms were very spacious, extremely clean and it was also cleaned everyday with new towels. The owners were super friendly and helpful, they helped us book buses, trains and activities at a good price. The location was perfect - 10 minutes walk to the night market, the city centre and attractions. We loved this hotel so much we extended our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Luang Prabang!
Very good hotel, probably the best hotel we had in Laos.Location is very good, close to everything interesting and important in Luang Pabang. Rooms are big with big bathroom. Breakfast is excelent, good choice of food. The woman, who ran the hotel, Sony, speaks very good English and is very kind and helpful, helped us in everything , we needed.
We felt at the end of the day, like coming back home. Recomend this place to anybody, coming to Luang Prabang.
A truly excellent stay! We were welcomed to the property by the very friendly staff, who were kind enough to give us recommendations for both food and activities. The room itself was very comfortable with great A/C, the bathroom was also well equipped with a good shower. The hotel was less than a 10 minute walk to the night market, a perfect location! It was great value and would recommend if you’re looking to stay in Luang Prabang
A real luxury resort in french colonial style. Holiday feeling pure. The luxury, cozy, very tastefully decorated room with all amenities you can expect from a luxury location, e.g. balcony with garden view, bath tub, safe, bathrobe, shower with big shower head and really hot water, fridge, water boiler for making tea or coffee, excellent WiFi.
The breakfast buffet is excellent with a lot of choices.
The most welcoming of my stays in Luang Prabang. The owner is from the Philippines and he was a pretty low key and nice guy. Offered me and my friend a really cheap motorbike rental. Didn't even require a passport, but I think that's unusual and not to be expected all the time. The breakfast was great and the space, despite being small, encouraged people to talk to each other, which was lovely.
Our stay was fabulous. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast is delicious and we also ended up eating at the restaurant for most of our meals as it was the best food we had in Luang Prabang.
The shuttle into town is great , though we enjoyed riding the free bicycles into town .
We would recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying there again .
I had an amazing stay at this hotel!
Room and facilities were clean and bed was comfortable, central location, room equipment… everything was there :)
Steve from the reception was adorable and very helpful to help me arrange tour, scooter rentals, even activities in Van Vieng.
I recommend for any first timer in Luang Prabang.
The most beautiful hotel in front of the river. You don’t need anymore in Luang Prabang. Walking distance to the night market and temples. Breakfast was delicious and the service was so amazing. Guy from the reception was always smiling and helping us with everything (tours, taxis, recommendations, laundry, etc)
The garden is magnificent. It is so nice to enjoy good food or a drink while looking at it.
It's only 5 minutes by tuk tuk to get in town center. It's also possible to get there using bicycle provided by the hotel for free.
It's a little heaven where you can relax after a day visiting Luang Prabang.
Super cute hotel with a nice view of the Mekong River! Location is really good, quite and within very nice walking distance to the city center of Luang Prabang. Very charming town! Kcit, in the reception, is the most helpful, is really good at English, and super serviceminded!
The room was nice and cozy. The water pressure in the shower was simply perfect. You can rent a bicycle right in the hotel (and it's free), you can also ask staff to book the motorbike and drive to waterfalls or to the Luang Prabang Wildlife Sanctuary.
Outstanding hospitality of the the whole team!
Best breakfast with incredible view on Mekong river!
Historical spirit in this well situated boutique hotel.
offered evening cruise and so many good advices about special discoveries
Amazing place to stay if visiting Luang Prabang! Walking distance to town in a quiet location. Room we stayed in was very spacious and clean! You can use their bicycles for free, breakfast was great, couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!
The room was nicely furnished and quite clean. The Mali House is right in the center of Luang Prabang is the same street where the morning market takes place. Andy is a helpful host. I also appreciated the small balcony.
Such an amazing, serene hotel in enclosed grounds a little outside the city. The staff were incredibly kind and Luang Prabang is a really enchanting place. We loved our stay and we were so sad to leave.
The hotel room was clean and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect for a walk around the center of Luang Prabang city.
