Exceptional value and great location! The staff were excellent and very accommodating and so friendly - with a free late check out (2pm). Rooms were clean and love the fact they are actively working to reduce the use of single plastics. Will defo be coming back for my next trip to Colombo!

    Great city! There's access to everything. Whatever you need, you can find it in Colombo. If you can't find it here, you probably won't find it anywhere else in Sri Lanka. Shopping can be expensive with name brands, but there are always similar quality alternatives for less.

    We really wanted to find reasons to recommend Colombo as a...

    We really wanted to find reasons to recommend Colombo as a stop over, but whilst we found some lovely areas, it really isn't a pretty town with a quaint area to wander around. In hindsight, we should have stayed in Negombo or just headed straight from the airport to our first proper destination.

    Plenty to see and do even outside the usual tuk tuk tour...

    Plenty to see and do even outside the usual tuk tuk tour trail. Be creative and explore you will be amazed no matter what your budget is like. I really recommend Kensington road and the place around 5th lane. Also gall road can be safe fun and entertaining to have a bit of localness with no glamour.

    There is not much to do in Colombo.

    There is not much to do in Colombo. Just a day or two is fine to sum up the city and cover its attractions. The main attraction lies in places like Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Sigiriya, Kandy, Galle which are around 100-150 kms from Colombo.

    Colombo was a bigger city than expected but beautiful by day and night. Easy to travel around and great access to shopping centres and culture places. The food was great as is all of Sri Lanka. The hospitality was very friendly and the hustle and bustle in the local markets was a treat not to miss. I would recommend a minimum stay of 5 days as Colombo is a beautiful place to stay and explore

    Welcome drinks should be sugar free. My home town was Colpetty.I left the country when I was 10 years old.Sri Lanka is a beautiful country.Colmbo is a vibrant and a wonderful city.Iam proud of my country.Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable.

Featuring colonial-era architecture and furnishings, in the evening the Sri Lankan flag is ceremoniously lowered with uniforms and bagpipes. Service and cuisine meet the standards expected of a hotel of this class today. I felt comfortable here every single moment and can wholeheartedly recommend the Galle Face Hotel for a stay in Colombo.

    The stay at Breeze of Paradise was one of the best stays in Sri Lanka. The facilities were as described and the host has maintained the facilities. The functional kitchen helped us prepare small meals for our kid. The hosts displayed an exceptional level of hospitality. We recommend the place for any family that wants to spend a few days in Colombo. Suresh and Kalhari make sure you have a comfortable stay.

    Location was great nice places to eat opposite hotel. Room was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom newly renovated with good water pressure. Good little gym on site. Would recommend a room with balcony as it was nice to sit out and watch people below. Liked the rooms were serviced and free filtered water provided. Good airport transfer at a reasonable price. Great place to start Sri Lanka holiday.
