Great value - its a newer property with only a few rooms - maybe less than 10 at the moment with construction going on for more. The interior has high ceilings, excellent AC, quality towels, extremely clean and friendly staff. Loved the Pools, especially the under partially covered pool that gives you shade for swimming under the relentless sun. The pool was cool in the evening - thanks to the cave like enclosure that played yoga/meditation like music in that pool cave.
It's too far to walk to downtown for me -- but I saw hotel guest doing it. I had a rental car and it was a 5 minute drive to downtown. There is limited parking - like 4 spots right now. And downtown has parking at the downtown Bank parking lot - thanks to the Hotel staff for pointing that out for me - it would be impossible for me to find.
There is limited breakfast and no food service for lunch or dinner -- which I didn't try as I opted to go downtown to eat.
The rooms should have a safe/lock box -- there is currently no safe in the rooms.
Yes, I would stay here again.

It's an incredible place. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. Colonial architecture is amazing, you never know what contains a closed door. People are helpfull and in general it was a safe place to stay and walk around.

A great food town.
A great food town. Everything form $1.50 street tacos to fine dining.
Over a two week period we only had 1 bad meal.
We suggest skipping the restaurants around the main square. Expensive and not the best food in the city.
Everything within walking distance. Interesting museums, local market and a bee farm.

Good access because of the Train Maya, but, if traveling using the Train Maya, double check the schedule, is only 3 times per day, that the train goes to Can Cun.
If you have the time, are plenty of places near by to visit Chichen Itza, and Ek Balam pyramids, Cenotes, Churches, plus the regional food, just outside the ADO terminal, is a lady selling "panuchos", is a very simple snack that will surprise you with its flavor, totally recommended, I will go back, just to taste this delicious food.

Wonderful city well worth a visit.
Wonderful city well worth a visit. A long stay here would be perfect. Handy to visit the nearby ruins at Chichén Itzá and close enough to the airport without staying there, With a car an ideal pace to explore towns, villages, cenotes and ruins nearby. Beaches are not far away. All around delightful city with friendly and helpful people. Felt completely secure here. Would definitely stay here again.
The place is really fantastic. It was recently opened a couple of months ago, everything is very well organized and maintained. Rooms are very spacious, clean, comfortable and with a nice terrace. The common area with the pool and restaurant is spacious and very inviting. Breakfast was delicious. Locations is great at the end of a famous street in Valladolid with many shops and a couple of min walk to the center. Staff was very helpful and friendly too. I rarely give a 10 but this hotel deserves it.
Conveniently located In the heart of Valladolid, this hotel is no more than a few minutes walk to town square events, shopping, coffee shops, dining and even a cenote. The rooms, though basic, were clean and functional with parking conveniently located adjacent to the hotel. We were served a poolside breakfast in a charming open air courtyard This hotel was as an excellent base for exploring Valladolid and many surrounding tourist attractions.
It's one of the coolest hotels I've been to. The place is like an oasis where you can truly relax - quiet, surrounded by trees and flowers, with plenty of attractions like an outdoor fish spa, swimming pool with hammocks and hot water caves. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms have a really cool, etnic design, are very spacious and include a nice terrace. I can definitely recommend this place in Valladolid.
Hotel Refugio41 is a little hidden oasis in Valladolid. From outside the front door it appears to be nothing much but inside it is lovely with only a few comfy rooms each with their own deck and hammock. Breakfasts were fabulous (choose the Mayan breakfast). But the best thing about the place is the staff. Jesus and Luis took such good care of us as did their cook (whose name I sadly forget). Service with a big smile every day!
We were looking for a non-expensive hotel near the bus station and the collectivos going to Chichen Itza,, and close to the main square / center of town, so Hotel Valladolid was an obvious choice - although there are other options in the area. Our room (room 1) was large enough for 2 people, clean, with a king size bed and a nice stone wall. The receptionists were friendly and gave us tips on what to see and how to get around.
Excellent structure in the core of Valladolid, with a unique Spanish post colonial style.
Rooms were spacious with comfortable beds we reserved two separate rooms but each units comes with more than one double bed, perfect for small family.
Good private car parking with access directly from the patio of the hotel.
Nice swimming pool and communal area.
Fantastic Hotel in the heart of Yucatan. The hotel is beautiful and has a laid back spa feel with a warm and attentive staff. Valladolid is a very busy town, but the hotel is an oasis and the breakfast is really delicious. We looked forward to coming back to our room both nights we stayed, and by the way the pools are also lovely. Can't wait to return!
An amazing stay in a beautiful unique property.
Comfortable with ample space in two bedroom bungalow with 4 queen sized beds. (Beds were comfortable)
Pool area and grounds are beautifully landscaped. A very relaxing scenic hotel.
Cafeteria and restaurant were nice.
Will stay again the next time we are in Valladolid.
The location was perfect as it's right in the heart of the action, and the beauty! The staff were friendly and easy going. The hotel is the epitome of what you travel to Valladolid to experience. The beds were great, the breakfast delicious and the pool a relaxing treat. And the bar staff make a great margarita!
Location, service and ambiance 10/10. Perfect little boutique hotel with just a few rooms, very romantic and private. The complimentary breakfast took us by surprise! Very good, considering most similar places in Mexico charge and not very little for it.
It was a beautiful hotel with impeccable charm, decor, and service. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. It’s a short walk to the main square in Valladolid. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
Small and tidy hotel with clean rooms very close to the center of Valladolid. The rooms are alright, private parking was a plus.
Price/performance was good, it was among the better hotels I've stayed in Mexico, just not quite 10 points.
Such a cute, unique boutique hotel! Fully recommendable. Attentive service, very friendly and helpful staff providing tips for where to go, fantastic pool including its own little grotto, spacious rooms, delicious breakfast.
The hotel room was confortable and quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk from the center of Valladolid.
Don Jacinto is so clean and relaxing. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. Next time I'm in Valladolid,.I'm at Don Jacinto. Best sleep I've had in a long time
