I know GeorgeTown very well after living there for 2 years prior to the pandemic. It's a vibrant multicultural little town with great street art. If you love food you will enjoy Penang as it is a foodie heaven.

If you stay in the centre of Georgetown so much of is walkable. Best thing to do is get the Grab App so as you can get around by Car. Georgetown is a Foodies paradise from Early morning Dim Sum to late night Street Food, it has it all. We ate Street Food at Chulia St and Kimberely St and visited the New World Hawker Centre all walkable from our hotel.

I like the street arts around the town.
I like the street arts around the town. It is very nice of the local government to provide map and free bus around the town that allowed us to look for the arts. A pity that some of the arts are not well maintained. I have also enjoyed the food whether in the restaurant, coffee shop, foodcourt or along the street.

A great place to visit, with ample heritage and historical baggage. Great food, but a bit repetitive among the various food courts. Leboh Kimberley is probably your best bet. Also, as regards breakfast, it is difficult to find anywhere to eat anywhere before 9AM!
Unfortunately the iconic centre of GT is becoming increasingly gentrified, with some heritage buildings either being "uograded" into hotels/restaurants/bars or replaced by hideous concrete blocks, while others are unmaintained, visibly rotting and falling apart. The so-called al-fresco "art work" around the town is visibly decaying and there is a general feeling that the historic centre has seen better days and is slowly declining. Fancy shopping malls and jostling high rise condos are sadly now more representative of the city's face, and values.
Traffic is a "mess", with gridlock common in the central area. An efficient metro/tram system should have been installed a decade go, but has yet to be initiated.

It's a modern and heritage city mix together, wonderful food offering and cultural places to go. Traffic can be horrendous, and streets are narrower compared to Malaysian cities or town, driving is a nightmare as Penangnites do not stick to rules and some does not keep up with speed and on the wrong lanes.

We enjoyed the many reasonably priced restaurants in our area. We toured the temples and mountain top to see the view of Penang. We also toured the Spice Garden, Butterfly farm and Tropical Fruit Farm. I recommend booking a driver and touring these venues.
The entire hotel is beautifully decorated and it gives me a chance to see what local residence feels like in the last century. Location is quite convenient, easy for transport and meals. The core area of George Town is right across the street and you can reach any of those landmarks within 15 minutes’ walk. And the staff are super friendly and helpful. I got some good tips from the manager and it really made my stay in George Town wonderful. Highly recommended accommodation in George Town!!!!
I’m so glad we had an opportunity to stay 4 nights at the Town House (2 bed) and get a taste of George Town’s heritage. The house is really well placed to explore. The property was equipped to make our stay comfortable and beautifully restored. The house was much more spacious than we expected and less noisy than you’d think for being in town. The staff were accommodating, breakfast at the main hotel, the Blue Mansion, hit the spot too. All in all, great experience.
Everything. It was great. Very spacious, very comfortable. A lot of amenities at the property. AMAZING breakfast buffet and really good food options at the whole hotel. A bit on the more expensive side of George Town but worth it.
The free canapés and cocktails from 6-7pm was also great. All in all this was an amazing hotel, great staff and amazing venue.
Everything was perfect!
Room clean and tidied up every time we went out.
Perfect position. The hotel is in little India area, in the center of george town.
Staff Is amazing. Always kind, available to support anytime and share all information.
We spent here our honey moon and they contributed to make it perfect! Thank you!
The staff were very good; competent, efficient and friendly.
The hotel had all the facilities we needed.
The room we were given was big and comfortable.
The location is pretty good; an easy bus 101 ride from central George Town, near to reasonable beaches and close to good food and a mall with food and supermarket.
The customer online response is quick. There is a wash machine. A small oven you can cook a simple meal. It’s in the middle of George Town so you can take Grab and go to a lot of tourists places within 20 minutes. There is a Friday night market within walking distance however the walking conditions is not great.
Great location for those who stay in the heart of George Town
Good breakfast
neat and clean hotel
a small store / tuck shop with dual doors , one from lobby and the other from roadside
wow what a value- right on the beach- super fun pool. traditional food court is immediately in front of hotel for copious food selections . inexpensive 15 minute ride to George Town.
Really nice hotel in the heart of George Town. The staff is really nice and helpful.
We stayed in a private room for 4 nights, it was okay even if there is not that much space.
Excellent choice for the trip. The hotel is an absolutely brilliant place to stay. Boutique interiors give it a classy look and the location is also fantastic.
